This is going to be a true 24 by 60 inside diameter cargo carrier, that's going to be able to fit in all two inch shanks. So we are going to have a weight capacity of 500 pounds. So it's going to be pretty difficult to kind of overload this thing, but always just make sure that you don't do so. It is going to be a steel design, that's what gives it that heavy weight capacity.

So this is going to be a great addition to your Subaru to get a lot of the stuff out of the inside of your car and back on your carrier, whenever you're going on trips, it's going to free up a lot of space and make the trip a lot more comfortable. It is going to work with two inch hitch receivers and is going to be made of steel with a nice powder coated finish. It's going to last a long time and also resist against those rust and corrosion. Curt 17x46 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Subaru Crosstrek

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier on a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. This carrier is gonna be a great way to free up extra space in your vehicle for more passengers, pets, or more gear. Couple things I prefer about a hitch mounted cargo carrier vs a roof mounted one, is you can have more space for your kayaks or anything like that, fishing poles. It is an inch and a quarter, it also comes with an adapter to fit your two inch hitches. On the inch and a quarter, your weight capacity is gonna be 300 pounds and on the 200, or on the two inch hitch, it's gonna be 500 pounds. Just make sure you don't exceed the capacity of your hitch, your vehicle, or the cargo basket.

Today on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek we're doing a test fit of the Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier. This is 23 x 47 inches, has a weight capacity of 450 pounds, and works with 2-inch hitches only. The part number for that is M2205. Now, one great feature about this rack are the walls. Because we can stack material all the way up the walls, it makes it easier to strap it down and secure it in place. You won't have to use as many straps to wrap around your material. Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Subaru Crosstrek

Today on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, we're doing a test fit of our Stromberg Carlson 23x60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is CC-100. This has a weight capacity of 500 pounds, and works with 2 inch hitches only. Although this is a smaller carrier, it does have a high weight capacity and it's pretty lightweight. It'll be easy to insert into your hitch, and remove anytime that you need to. With it installed we're going to start off with a few measurements.



Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Subaru Crosstrek

Today on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek we're doing a test fit of the CURT folding 20 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is C18151. Now this has a 500 pound weight capacity and works with 2" hitches. The first thing we're going to do while it's on our vehicle is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance. We're going to have about 12" there. Overall to our vehicle we're going to have about 34".

Today, on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek, we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20 by 60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18150. Now, this has a weight capacity of 500 pounds and works with 2 inch hitches only. The first thing we're going to do is start off with a few measurements. I'm going to do our ground clearance first. It's going to be about 14 1/4 inches. That is because we have that raised shank in the back, which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch.



MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Subaru Crosstrek

Today on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48 by 21 cargo carrier. That part number is MT70422. This is designed to work with 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, this is actually one of our lighter carriers because it is made out of aluminum, but it's still that durable material. The first thing we're going to do while it's on our vehicle is take a few measurements. We're going to start off with our ground clearance; it's going to be about 11-1/2". Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 28-1/2".

Today on our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. This is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Now although it does have that high weight capacity, this is on one of our lighter-weight carriers, so it's easy to insert and remove from your hitch any time you might need to. To start off we're going to take a few measurements here. We're going to start with our ground clearance. It's going to be about 14-1/2" because we do have that raised shank in the back, which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch.
