Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, it actually grips it by the frame of your bike here. It is padded so to make sure that your bike itself doesn't get scratched up once it's being installed. It also has two wheel straps, both the front and the rear. Then at the front here, you have this portion that you can install a lock core, so once you install the bike, you can lock it into place and secure it to the rack itself.

Instead, we're going to have this skewer mount here at the front that'll grip your bike by the fork mounts, which you can remove this plastic piece at the end and replace it with a lock. Now, when you actually lock this down, not only will your bike be secured to the rack, your rack will be secured to the roof rack because you cannot remove this bike rack without taking the skewer out. At the rear, we have this wheel strap, which is adjustable along the length of the bike rack to accommodate different size bikes. With the bike rack installed as it is, there's not going to be any issues of clearance between the trunk and bike rack itself, as you can see here. We're going to have this padded wheel hook up at the top here, and these points here which gives us its name, the brass knuckles to tighten it down, and then we have these two wheel straps at the front and the rear. Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Altima

Today on our 2013 Nissan Altima well be test fitting the Yakima Frontloader Wheel Mount roof-mounted bike rack, part number y02103. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto the vehicles crossbars. Well place the rear bracket around the underside of the rear crossbar and insert the t-bolts and turn the black wing nuts to tighten it down. Well then move to the front where we will turn the larger black t-handle tightly up against the crossbar. Now with everything all tightened down and secured, were ready to load up our bike. Well unfold the front part of the wheel mount and undo the tray strap.



Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Altima

Today on our 2013 Nissan Altima, we'll be test fitting the Yakima ForkLift roof-mounted bike rack, part number Y02098. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto the vehicle's crossbars. We'll then need to loosen up the black wing nuts to bring both the front and rear bracket around the underside of the front and rear crossbar. Once both brackets are in place, we'll insert the silver T bolt into the bracket, and turn to bring the brackets up around tightly against the crossbars. Once both the front and rear bracket are all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike. We'll remove the skewer at the front to slide in our plastic protective covering.



Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Altima

Today on our 2013 Nissan Altima, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Fork Down roof-mounted bike rack, part number S64710. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto the vehicle's crossbars. We'll then take out our hardware and we're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We'll now take one of the longer silver brackets and feet it up on the bottom side of the front crossbar into the head of the carrier. We'll then take our black wing nut to thread onto the silver bracket. We'll now move to the rear, where this time we will slide the silver bracket down to the bottom of the crossbar.



RockyMounts TieRod Stretch Roof Bike Rack Review - 2013 Nissan Altima

Today on our 2013 Nissan Altima well be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Stretch roof mounted bike rack, part number RKY1011. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack onto our vehicles crossbars. Well start off by loosening up the Allen bolts at the rear to bring the rear bracket around the underside of the rear crossbar. We can then use the included Allen wrench to tighten it down. Well now move up to the front where we will remove the black plastic cover at the front and bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of our front crossbar. Well hook them back into the head of the carrier and use the included Allen wrench to turn the silver bolt to bring the straps up around tightly against the bar.



Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Nissan Altima

All right today on this 2011 Nissan Altima, we are going to do a test fit of Yakima bike rack, part number y02103. Our Nissans already been outfitted with a Yakima roof rack system, so all we have to do is place our bike rack on top of that, very easy, all we are going to do is set the first clamp onto the front cross bar, then well slide a second clamp onto the second cross bar. We are going to put the bicycle rack in the spot that we want and then we will go ahead and tighten down the clamps. Okay with that our bike rack is already loaded up onto the roof rack, now lets go ahead and load the bike. The first thing we will do is push the wheel loop up and towards in front of the vehicle and well make sure to strap for the back wheel is out of the way. Okay, so load up the bike and lets go ahead and put the front wheel to the front into the front hoop.



Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2011 Nissan Altima

Alright, today on this 2011 Nissan Altima, we're going to do a test fit of Domestique Bicycle Rack. Ok, our Nissan has already been outfitted with a Thule load bars. We'll go ahead and start by loading up the bike rack onto the first crossbar. We'll slide it around the clamp and then slide the second clamp over the second crossbar. Next, we'll go ahead and take an Allen wrench and we'll go ahead and take the fasteners to get them started. Make sure that the bike rack is in its proper place and we'll go ahead and tighten them down.



Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2010 Nissan Altima

Today on our 2010 Nissan Ultima well be test fitting the Yakima Forklift roof mounted bike rack part #: Y02098. With the Yakima Roundbar roof rack system already on our Ultima well start by placing our Forklift on our roof rack. Well remove the skewer at the front of the forklift and loosen the T-bolt to bring the front clamp around our crossbar. Well then tighten the same T-bolt to secure the front part of the rack and once its secure well slide the cover back up to the clamp. Then, well reinsert our skewer and just loosely tighten it so that theres still room for our bike forks to fit. Now well move to the back of the rack and fit the second clamp around the rear bar.



Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2010 Nissan Altima

Today on our 2010 Nissan Altima we'll be test fitting the Thule Domestique fork- mounted bike carrier, part number TH513. With the Thule aero blade roof racks assembled onto our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing our carrier directly on top of our load bars. We'll bring the bracket at the front around our load bar, feed the bolt through the holes and tighten with an Allen key. We'll move to the rear of the carrier where we'll fit the clamp around our rear bar, feed the Allen bolts through the holes and tighten with an Allen key. Once we have both clamps secured to our vehicle, we're ready to start loading our bike. We'll need to make sure that the wheel strap the the rear is undone and the skewer at the front is open. We'll grab our bike, place it into the wheel tray and drop our front forks down on to our skewer.

Swagman Fork Down Roof Bike Rack Review - 2010 Nissan Altima

Today on our 2010 Nissan Altima we'll be testing the fork style roof mounted bike rack from Swagman, part number S64710. With a twoly aero-blade roof rack system assembled onto our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placed our bike carrier directly onto our load bars. Once we have it situated inline with our vehicle we'll go ahead and begin securing the front part of our carrier. We'll do this by taking the U bolts, fitting them underneath the load bar and up through our bracket. We'll then tighten it in place with the wing nuts. We'll do this for both sides of the front part of our bracket.
