Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - Long Spindle - 4" Lift - 5 Bolt - 3.5K
Be warned! I would not buy from Etrailer ever again. We received our order and Etrailer failed to send the entire trailer axle kit. They did not include one spindle in the kit, rendering our order useless without ordering an additional spindle. Because more than 30 days had elapsed before reporting the issue, Etrailer refused to send the spindle, in addition to insinuating that I was deceiving them. This must be how they increase their revenues…don’t send the entire order, and if the customer does not catch it within 30 days, the customer loses and Etrailer makes more money. Absolutely horrible customer service from the company who failed to fulfill their end of the contract while accusing me of being deceptive. One star is far too generous for Etrailer and their scams.
Very pleased with the design and heavy duty construction of these axles. Used them to build an off-road trailer and they performed flawlessly throughout many challenging trails and off road situations. My only complaint is that the ez-lube hub design does not take grease very easily. I've had to disassemble the hubs to properly grease both bearings due to the inadequate amount of grease flowing into the bearings.

Dexter Trailer Idler Axle w/ Idler Hubs - EZ-Lube - 4 on 4 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,000 lbs
After years of hauling firewood my Harbor Freight Trailer Axle fatigued and cracked. The Dexter Axle from etrailer got me back on the trail. Welded leaf spring seats on the opposite side of the axle at a spacing of 46.5 inches. The wheels stick out an additional 3/4 inch per side. The trailer now rides like a Cadillac. Very excited about putting my faithful trailer back in service, with a serious axle underneath that I have confidence in. The folks at etrailer very helpful and responsive. Thanks
I ordered this axle as a replacement for the one on my 1996 Haulin' 4x8 utility trailer. I'd neglected to maintain the bearings and when one went it destroyed my axle. This axle was an exact fit but the spring seats needed to be moved to the top of the axle. I ordered new seats and U-bolt mounting kit as well as the axle. I found a welder to remove the original spring seats and weld the new ones to match my application. Installation was a snap, I just followed the video included on the web site. Ordering my parts from etrailer really saved me $$ over the quotes I'd received from local shops.

Dexter Idler Trailer Axle w/ Hubs - EZ-Lube - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,200 lbs
Really good solid axle... I needed the mounting tabs moved and had a metal fabricator do the work for $20.00. This was used on an old boat trailer that I turned into a utility trailer. Also swapped out the springs with ones purchased from etrailer too. To complete the package I ordered (3) 165/65-8 trailer tires. The trailer tows straight and hauls everything I've ever needed to.
I ordered my axle kit and received it 30 days later, I expected it in a week. The hubs, U-bolt kit, springs and grease were shipping in a box, when I receive it the heavy parts had smashed the grease tube, and was quite the mess in the box. The U-bolt kit I ordered as suggested by etrailer was the wrong kit and the bolts were short (their system did not suggest the right kit for the thicker springs). I see there is a kit I could have ordered with longer bolts. When I went to tighten the lug bolts on the new hub I received, one bolt started to pull through the hub. I reported the grease problem to etrailer, they could not care less, so I thought it would not be worth my time to report the other issues. I guess I will purchase new u-bolts, grease, and perhaps a hub somewhere else.

Dexter Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 72" Long - 2,000 lbs
Everything was as expected and we were able to repair our trailer without issues. Shipping was prompt and the service was great. Received the package one day earlier than initially promised
This trailer has been perfect. Love not having to shovel gravel, etc. So much easier. Thank you again. Your service was exceptional. Thank you for reaching out.

Dexter Trailer Idler Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles - 72" Long - 2,200 lbs
I inherited an aluminum trailer that ended up needing a complete overhaul and etrailer was the best resource I could have found. After researching extensively to find out what I needed and watching their videos on how to do it I ended up ordering an EZ-lube axle, galvanized hubs, springs and a hanger kit (in other words everything from the frame down). Everything shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. All the parts worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier!
We install these axles on our trailers for years and they have worked well without any problems.

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension w Electric Brakes - Standard Duty - No Drop - 5 on 4-1/2 - 3.5K
No totally satisfied with the service I received since I wasn’t communicated on the logistic timing of sending the product out until four days after buying the products. I had to call several times to know what was goong on.. More comunication is needed.
These axles were a perfect retrofit for a vintage tralier rebuild/mod. Service at etrailer was excellent. The parts were easy to fit with a little care. I would recommend this product and this supplier to anyone looking for trailer parts.

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension w/ Idler Hubs - Standard Duty - No Drop - 5 on 4-1/2 - 2K
It is important to know that your wheels are going to sit very tight to the trailer frame. I needed to add an extension to the hub for it to clear the sides of the camper I built.
Very smooth pull. I'm very impressed on how the trailer pulls. My traditional axle trailer seemed to bounce a lot on the highway which made a lot of noise, but with the Timbren Axle-less that I installed on a new trailer, the trailer is so smooth and way less noise. Great product.

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Standard Duty - No Drop - 4 Bolt Flange - 2,000 lbs
Actual trailer weight 1540#, 210# tongue weight. 1310# suspension load. After 600 miles, both springs collapsed making the suspension rigid. Have received replacement springs from Timbren but haven't had a chance to try them out.
These things look sweet! Cant wait to install them. Fast delivery! Great!

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - No Drop - 4 Bolt Flange - 2,000 lbs
Here are some pictures of my Timbren axle installation. I used a 2000# axle and a 3500# spindle combination. I am running a original 14" tire. It was a moderately easy installation.
Supply Chain Stinks! But Shawnee E with etrailer came through with options!

Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,000 lbs
I purchased two of these axles to replace my old square ones. They appear to be good quality but they arrived damaged. The grease fittings on the ends were smashed because packaging wasn't adequate. I've emailed back and forth and was shipped the wrong parts for replacement. In the end I was told I'd have to cut the spindles off and replace them. All I need is new grease zerks that thread on the ends of the axles. Be prepared to purchase these on your own because customer service is subpar on a remedy and the way they package them for shipping does not prevent damage.
The axle is of great quality, I had to have mine fabricated a bit to match the old spring seats.but I wouldn't hesitate to buy the axle. The shipping and customer service is top notch from etrailer. Excellent products, services and shipping...

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - No Drop - 4 Bolt Flange - 2,200 lbs
After a great deal of research, I ultimately chose the Timbren long arm kit to replace the torsion axle under my teardrop trailer. My initial impression is that there is simply no comparison between the two. It now rides better, pulls better and handles better than I could have imagined. The Timbren axle system is incredibly well built and is much more confidence-inspiring. While the spring rate closely matches my trailer weight, the components are much more rugged and robust. The spindles, bearings and brakes are rated at double the capacity of my old axle which gives me great peace of mind. I pull my trailer, both on and off road, anywhere it will fit and the long travel and heavier components are a game-changer for my travels. Installation, while requiring a bit of forethought, was otherwise straightforward and methodical. Documentation available from etrailer and Timbren, is second to none. Instructions were clear and concise with drawings and detail taking the major guesswork out of the equation. Even though, due to the odd frame design of my trailer that required a bit of work to adapt, I ended up making some frame stiffeners, the adaptation was as simple as it could possibly be. I've ordered from etrailer in the past and they were 100% accurate on this order as well. I ordered the Timbren kit without backing plates and hubs due to the requirements of my trailer and etrailer suggested, explained availability and supplied all of the components I needed. They truly a stress-less bunch of folks with an extraordinary website. I'll no doubt turn to them again...
I have been pleased with everything I've ever ordered from etrailer. However I am concerned as the box was destroyed up on arrival. I have not had time to double check and see if there are any instructions in the box. I hope there are

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Standard Duty - 4" Lift - 4 Bolt Flange - 3,500 lbs
The trailer rides great down the road and no more worries about saltwater and rusty leaf springs. Not a cheap option but I’m very happy with the setup. When installing, just be sure to measure accurately and have sharp drill bits. A drill press type of guide also helps ensure correct drilling angles. The first picture is of a mounting gusset a local welding shop made. One is needed for each side and necessary to provide needed mounting strength-at least on my trailer frame. Pics 2 and 3 show the mounted suspension on one side of the trailer. Pic 4 shows the suspension on one side of the trailer with the axle attached and a separately purchased disc brake assembly mounted on it. Finally, pic 5 shows a 2” box channel between both suspension assemblies. Independent suspensions would have been nice, but I wanted to ensure trailer rigidity was maintained. So, after one year, so far, so good. It’s all smooth sailing down the highway.
We use Timbren's ASR3500S06 on all of our XER trailers. We couldn't be happier. It is a well built suspension.

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Standard Duty - No Drop - 5 Bolt Flange - 7,000 lbs
Five star. shipping was slow. Product was great 14 K 14 plies under 2000 pounds independent suspension. Low fast and sassy. Yep that’s how I build them.
Received promptly in good condition. Have not installed as of yet. Looks substantial.

CE Smith Trailer Axle Beam with Standard Spindles - Galvanized - 57-1/2" Long - 1.8K
I bought a replacement axle and idler hubs for my utility trailer. Overloading with heavy firewood finally took its toll! Everything from etrailer.com showed up by UPS Ground right on schedule and the parts went together very nicely. The hub bearings are factory-lubricated, saving that critical step. I tested it out yesterday and the trailer runs fine. I would have to rate the products and purchasing experience as excellent (5 stars).
the axle came with castle nuts and cotter pins, but no washers, the old hubs fit but the washers i have are too small

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - Long Spindle w/ 4" Lift - 4 Bolt - 2K
Used this on a camping trailer behind our Jeep. The suspension handled 1000 miles of washboard gravel roads and mild rocky offroading with ease. We don't drive gently and had the trailer airborne at one point. The brackets that we opted to fabricate for them were straightforward and simple to install. I especially like the ground clearance under the trailer that you gain due to the lack of a solid traditional axle. The ride quality overall was excellent, especially given where we took it. In hindsight we should have gotten the 4" travel version as it may have been able to soak up deep ruts at 40mph a bit better. Only mild complaint is that the powdercoating on the leading edges had already begun to flake off when we received the suspension. I hit it with a can of spray paint, but I would have hoped it would be more durable. Overall, I will definitely be purchasing this axle-less suspension again for my next trailer build.
Excellent, helpful customer service sold me this product, and trust me when I say it's worth the price tag. Pulled the old axle and leaf spring off a 60's era Bantam and swapped out for this with a support bar in between. Bumped up tires to 315/75r16 BFG TA/KO's to match my rig and am amazed at how much better this trailer now pulls. Empty it wad bouncing all over the place with the old axle and leaf spring setup. Now I hardly even know it's there. Was very easy to install, took a couple hours but I am happy with how it turned out. A+++ product and customer service!

Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - 2" Lift - 5 Bolt Flange - 3,500 lbs
I was looking for a low profile axle system for my motorcycle trailer. The primary requirement was to be able to load my motorcycle by myself which required a low-profile trailer. With the 4" drop provided by Timbren, this setup turned out great. I originally intended on using ramps but after I swapped the leaf spring axle out with the Timbren, I found I was able to ride my motorcycle on/off without the need for the ramps. Originally, I was going to go axle-less but I found when torquing down the assembly to my frame it started to compress the aluminum rail. To take the pressure off the frame I added the 2" bar from axle to axle. Pulls smooth and effortlessly. I've had several people comment on the trailer height with one wanting to buy the trailer from me. This person worked at the local Honda Dealership. He thought it was a great design and I would imagine he's seen a variety of trailers come through his lot. The other option I considered was a torsion axle but I was looking for the lowest profile I could get. Therefore, cost was not a key factor. I also like the soft ride the Timbren system provides. Not sure if the torsion design would have been as smooth over bumpy roads. Regardless, I'm pleased with how this project came out.

Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs - 4" Drop - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 95" Long - 3,500 lbs
Item was exactly as described. installed yesterday and everything fit perfect. But one thing that did concern me was the way it was packaged for shipping. I think we clearly know how UPS handles items. Maybe boxing it up with foam inside would be ideal, but also understand the cost efficiency side of it. Just something to consider for future orders. overall thank you Etrailer for the item.
I might have measured it wrong, but it still worked fine. I just didn't know where to measure from. My axle was broken, and couldn't get measured good.

CE Smith Trailer Axle w/ Idler Hubs - 5 on 4-1/2 - 57-1/2" Long - 1.8K
Great product. I bought the harbor freight trailer last year and within a couple of weeks I had problems with one of the Hubs. The bearings went bad and the made in China hub had a crack in it. Could not find an exact replacement and tried a bunch of trailer stores around the Chicagoland area. Then a few months later the other hub started to wobble when I got home and replaced it also with a close match but not perfect. Every since then the camber was off and I didn't feel safe driving on the highway. After a year of looking I finally found this website and they had the Hubs and axle to replace the bad quality of the made in China original one that came with the harbor freight trailer. Took a couple of easy hours to replace and I couldn't be any more happier. Drove it on the highway for 50 miles and everything is still nice and tight so far and it looks way better too. Plus, the easy lube system is the best part! George kept in contact with me from the beginning to the end letting me know that it shipped and that it arrived at my house. 2 days to get to my house! I will be back to purchase more things in the future!
It’s a great looking axle. This is perfect fit for the trailer I purchased from the discount hardware store. Straight forward to install. It was a pleasure working with everyone at etrailer. Couldn’t be happier. i have just one outstanding question. My old axle was round 1 3/4”. Are most people reusing old bracket (which I decided to do) or buying square bracket and if so what size? i have included some pictures of trailer and also some closeups of bracket holding axle to spring. Once again a pleasure doing business with etrailer.
