Swagman Escapee Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
Since we bought an ebike for her we needed to get a stronger bike rack AND since we will be using it on the back of a car we will tow behind our Motorhome they said it had to be RV approved. This thing is built like a tank and is heavy! I made a mistake in that I missed where it said THIS rack is FIXED and does not fold upward. This was an important requirement for me, but I made the mistake and ordered the wrong one. I’ll be creating a solution for this. Just got back from our 1st outing with the rack and I’m very pleased. It was only a 40 minute drive, but the bikes were steady regardless of the speeds up 75mph and a light gravel road. It is a simple matter to mount and remove the bikes. I’ll feel more comfortable when transporting my Carbon Fiber TT bike since nothing touches the frame. The only negative is it is heavy and a little awkward to hold while inserting into the receiver.
The Swagman Escapee 2 Bike Carrier arrived with minimal damage to the box from shipping, did have a few holes punched thru from the components inside. The assembly process was simple, Swagman makes it very easy to assemble the way its constructed. This is a very well made Carrier and should last a very long time. I did figure out with this carrier if you just wanted to fold in up to minimize space ONLY WHILE PARKED you could remove one of the 3/4 bolts on the top bar and loosen the end one just enough for the bar to pivot with that loosened bolt it will fold up. I would only do this to save space while parked only. I would never recommend doing this while driving on the roadway. I've provided some pictures of the Carrier in use with a mountain bike loaded and one with it folded up for added space. All in all this is a fantastic carrier and Etrailer.com comes highly recommended.
This Swagman Bike Rack is still working perfectly for our needs both on the back of our truck and the rear of our fifth wheel. I couldn’t be happier and still HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS bike rack.

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
Very solid and bikes go on/off with ease. The built in mechanism that allows you to tighten the hitch to prevent sway works great, as well as the built in lock system. It’s on the heavy side, I need help pulling on and off but I can carry it (5’6” female that’s decently athletic), but I think it should have some girth on it to be as solid as it is. Worth the money if you bike often!
Stupid heavy rack, but so are all the others. The tilt down function to open the tailgate on my Subaru outback makes the rack rest on the ground. Not so nice for the shinny finish of the rack… easy to put together if you build the rack on your hitch. I’d buy something better, but I think this is the best on the market. I had the Sherpa and it was very good for transporting bikes. This is just as good, but it’s so heavy I can fishtail the car. Silly! Fast shipping

SeaSucker Komodo Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Fork Mount - Vacuum Cup Mounted - Black
The Komodo was the perfect solution for carrying my road bike on the trunk lid on my old BMW Z3 Roadster. I also purchased the front wheel Hogg and or works beautifully. Seasucker's Komodo Is a very high quality product that looks like a piece of art. I'm likely to get more compliments on the Komodo rack than my bike or car!
Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2010 Lincoln MKT
Today on our 2010 Lincoln MKT, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Mountain Trail Roof Rack Mounted Bike Carrier. This is going to be your fork style, and as you can see we already have our Rhino Rack Roof Rack installed on our vehicle. We're going to show you how it fits and looks. This is going to be part number RBC035. Let's get it put up on top of the vehicle. Once we get it up here, we're going to need to make sure we slide down our piece here to loosen up the back clamp. Once we have that one loose, we'll move to the front, and we'll remove the cover. Just simply unlock it, lift up and then pull out. With the cover undone, we'll be able to take out the straps and slide those underneath.
Its been a year now and the rack works great! I have to admit that when we had the bikes on it for the 700 miles to SC I did put a ratchet strap around the lowest part of the bike frames and bike rack Just In Case since it was on the back of the car we were towing behind our MH. I probably didnt need to, but I never would have seen them if they came loose or worse. I really like the fact that nothing touches the frame of the bikes!
