Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
The good: I like the way the bikes are held in and the ability to add the upright adapters to the bike frame holders. The straps are quality too. For a jeep with a spare tire, this is the perfect length to clear it. This rack is 5 stars from the bike holders to the base of it. The bad: the 2"receiver adapter and bolt are insufficient. I wish they made this in a solid 2" hitch. The entire setup is held into the receiver by a very short bolt. It only goes about half way into the receiver tube. So your hitch is only "secured" on one side. A hitch pin or bolt should go through the receiver tube completely imo so it can be secured on the other end with a retaining clip or nut. Because this only goes in the one side, the entire weight of the rack plus bikes are held tight to one side of the receiver by the undersized bolt and washer. A few bumps down the road and that bolt loosens. Now instead of distibuting the weight of the rack and bikes on the receiver and post, it's completely up to the bolt to keep you from losing the rack. The bolt threads get damaged too. I took this down a dirt road and nearly lost everything. I had to buy my own bolt with hd fender washers and lock washers to correct this. Thule should've provided this from the start. The current short bolt design where only one side of the receiver secures the rack is unacceptable. This rack is 1 star at best for the connection to the receiver.
I bought this bike rack back in April but wanted to make sure I used it to give the best review. First I want to say I did a lot of research on bike racks and found this one to be the best one to fit my needs. The best price I found was on etrailer.com, at the time it was When I called the customer service to place my order, I spoke to Dan. He was very pleasant on the phone and took the time and listened to what I needed and understood my concerns. I ordered the bike rack and also ordered the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device and the Thule Cable Lock w/ One Key System Lock. Dan suggested I also get the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, which I never even thought of getting. Delivery was in about two business days, which was really fast and at the time of order they were running a special free delivery over $99. When I went to put it together I noticed I was missing the flat cap screw M6 x 16mm, part number #853-5787-02. I emailed Dan and within 24 hours received an email that the part was sent out and also in the email their was a link to track the order. After I received the part I did notice that the flat cap screw was actually in the 2 inch adaptor sleeve. The instructions were very easy to read, and it took me about 20 minutes to put together. I did have an issue when I positioned the stinger into the cradle, with the 8mm locking nut, it was not staying tight and when I took it off I noticed the threads inside were gone, so I ended up going out to Lowes and buying a new one and its holds perfectly fine. I also had a question about that part because it is not a locking part and was worried someone would try to steal the rack. I contacted etrailer.com to find if they make a locking device for this and they said no but I can contact Thule to double check, I'm still waiting for an answer back from Thule. The weather finally broke and we installed the rack onto my hitch, tightened it and it doesn't rattle. When I finally used the rack and put my bike on, it did sway a little but at 50 mph I was very happy with it. The trailer comes out just enough away from my car that I do not have to fold completely out and I can open my trunk with no issues. I am very happy with my purchase and had a great customer experience with Dan. Would highly recommend ordering from them to anyone.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
First-time rack buyer / owner / installer. The rack arrived in a timely fashion, maybe a day or 2 ahead of schedule. It was well packaged. I’m LOVING this bike rack. It was easy to put together and to mount on my new Honda Passport. Thus far, no squeaks in my 2” receiver. Hardest part of initial set-up is figuring out the best way to position two bikes. Trial & error and some patience. The directions weren’t clear as to where the 2 left-over screws went. I found the answer in another review and have posted a pic in case others have the same problem (photo with pen pointing at screw). These screws go in the underneath side of both of the folding arms. They appear to keep the wheel wells from sliding off in case in you drive with an empty, un-folded rack, and forgot to tighten down the wheel wells. The folding arm push / pull pins can be difficult at times. I coated the tips with some lube. That and a little jiggling seems to solve that issue. I guess it’s better for the pins to be snug vs popping right out. I added a small Master lock to the hitch pin (in lieu of the provided cotter pin) as a theft deterrent. I read that a 3/16 shackle lock will fit into the bike clamp down arms to also act as a deterrent. I had an old 3/16 lock that did snugly fit and appeared to be locked. HOWEVER, I yanked on the lock and it came open as there isn’t quite enough clearance for the shackle to lock. I discovered that longer 3/16 shackle locks are hard to find. Have attached a photo of the lock that actually fits and works (Ace Hardware). One lock on the upper clamp down arm will secure both arms as the lower arm can’t be removed without removing the upper arm. The clamp down arms appear to be coated to prevent damage to your bike. I’ve tried a simple rag and ultimately settled on pool noodle pieces as a precautionary measure. I CAN NOT open my tailgate (regardless of whether or not the rack is fold up and in the bike carry position). If that’s a concern for you, then spring for the more costly titling version. My back-up camera still functions.
The Swagman XTC-2 platform bike carrier arrived very quickly from etrailer and in good shape, the actual carrier box is inside another shipper box, which I'm sure helped with its condition. Assembly was relatively quick and painless, even though the instructions could be a little more thorough. Installing the carrier on the back of our Jeep Patriot also was quick, it helps to have an extra ratchet & 3/4" socket laying around for just this purpose. Installing the bikes takes a little patience and trial and error the first time you try and put them on the carrier. It's easy enough to adjust the wheel holders to fit the wheelbase of your bikes, but for us at least, the challenge was trying to swing the vertical support bar up into position after putting on the first bike (closest to the Jeep). We couldn't angle the bike enough toward the Jeep to have the bar clear the bike. We learned that the easiest way to secure the first bike was to remove the ratcheting frame hooks altogether, put the bike in the carrier, swing up the vertical support bar, put in the pin, and then slide one of the frame hooks down on the bar. The outside bike is much easier because you can set the bike in the carrier at whatever angle you need, not being limited by the back of the vehicle. One thing we did to protect the bike frames was to use some foam pipe insulation as cushion between the frame hook and the frame (see pictures). Once you get a system for installing the bikes, it is very quick to load/unload them. The rack seems to be well made and doesn't wiggle excessively when traveling. All in all a good product for a good price, would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a platform bike carrier.

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I like the overall design of this rack, but unfortunately after hauling a couple bikes around for a while the point where the crossbar connects has apparently rounded off so the rack swings back and forth. I've used rope to tie the ends of the rack to the car to stop this from getting worse, but it's inconvenient. Note: the hitch connection itself is good and solid, but the point where the crossbar connects to the bar coming from the hitch has gotten loose and there's no way that I can see to tighten it.
I own a 2005 Jeep Wrangler X with 31x10.5x15 oversized tires and wheels. I installed B6196001 HighRock 4x4 Oversize Tire Carrier by Bestop to carry larger spare tire. I needed a bike carrier that would carry our two crusier bikes and clear my spare tire. After measuring, I ordered: -> S64650 - Swagman 2-bike carrier -> 80300 - 7" Hitch Adapter 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver -> RM-061 - Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches Our order arrived very quickly, etrailer.com upgraded the shipping. All these products arrived well packaged and without damage. In 15 minutes I had every thing assembled, installed on my Jeep and bikes loaded. The bike carrier is very well constructed, finish is excellent and easy to adjust. When adjusting wheel loops and loading bikes, make sure you pay attention to bike pedal position. I chose this extension because I did not want to use the adapter that comes with the bike carrier, I wanted as few parts as possible to keep rattles to a minimum and gives me more options for towing. The anti-rattle bolt/pin firmly secures the bike carrier to the extension and the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch keeps the extension adapter from rattling in the receiver. Road tested approximately 25 miles over rough city roads ( including railroad tracks ), county roads and highway. Bikes traveled very well without any rattles. I can remove my complete setup quickly, fold and put in rear of Jeep if desired. I am very well pleased with my purchase. Note to etrailer: Please consider offering Roadmaster Quiet Hitch in black to match receiver and accessories. Paul In the Land of Oz . . . Just South of the Yellow Brick Road!

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
etrailer has the best pre- and post-sales customer service I've ever seen! I started out not knowing anything about hitch-mounted racks. So I wrote to etrailer telling them about my car and type of hitch I was about to have installed. Samuel wrote back with lots of great information tailored specifically to my car. He even included a photo that looked just like my 2017 white VW GTI with a hitch and rack installed. Okay something of a coincidence. But the rest of the assistance I got from the crew at etrailer was just as prophetic. I went into this a novice and came out knowing lots more about hitches and racks and finding the rack best suited to my situation. I have a small car, a class 1 hitch and a heavy mountain bike. I got exactly what I needed. As to the Swagman rack itself, it works fine. If I had a different situation I would probably buy a platform rack as they are easier to load. There's no reason to buy a bike rack anywhere else.
First off, thanks to Jason T. or "Troop". The exemplary customer service he provided is rare these days. Troop made several calls to the various manufacturers to ascertain which bike rack would afford me the most ground clearance as my new VW Golf sits low to the ground and my old bike rack frequently scraped the ground when I went up even a slight up hill grade. His efforts paid off as he found me the best bike rack for my car, the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Carrier. It sits up off the ground just high enough that it doesn't scrape on my driveway. It is also sturdy and holds my bikes securely. And, the delivery was amazingly fast. I had my rack in about 2 days! Note to Troop, see my Pittsburgh Pirates Logo on my bumper in the attached pictures? Pirate Fans persevere! The Bucco's will be coming after your Cardinals this year! Thanks again Troop!

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
If you've done any research or read any of the other comments on either this rack, or this seller...rest assured they really are as good as everyone says! I ordered my rack on around 4pm est on a Friday afternoon and within an hour I received an email that said they have shipped my product AND upgraded to priority shipping. Can't say enough positive things about the customer service! When the rack arrived, it took me a little over half an hour to get it set up. Probably would e been faster if I were even slightly mechanically inclined (or if didn't I didn't have to borrow a socket wrench from my neighbor). We finally had an opportunity to load up the bikes and head out for a ride today. As others have said, the first time you load up your bikes, it's kind of like a puzzle to get them situated. Took about 15 minutes. This rack is awesome! Very sturdy and the bikes were very secure. Only racks I have had in the past were rooftop fork mount racks. This is so much easier! On e we got to the trail (over an hour drive) getting the bikes off was a piece of cake. Afterwards, it was time to load them back up and it was less than 5 minutes to get them all on and ready to hit the road. There were other 4-bike racks on the website, but this one had enough great reviews that I felt comfortable making the purchase. After the fact, I'm very glad I did! I can't imagine the $800 rack can be that much better than this, and I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a 4-bike platform rack. I will definitely recommend this rack and etrailer.com to everyone I know.
Loads and unloads bikes super fast, and holds them firm. Wish I would have purchased this a long time ago instead of struggling with my old frame mount rack. I actually ride more because I don't dread having to load. Adjusts to different bikes easily. Time will tell if the fittings, springs, straps hold up to weather (I leave it on car). It is fairly large and heavier than the more expensive 4 bike racks (it's mostly steel vs. composite plastic), so if you are going to take it off hitch and store it - be prepared. Only recommendation I have is to add softer foam on the frame bar for traveling on rough roads.

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Highly recommend the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack! I have been using mine regularly during the last year and have had no issues. It's easy to attach and remove from my Honda CR-V. It's very sturdy and doesn't shift or 'bounce' around when I'm driving.
The install was super easy following along with the video. The Chinook is excellent quality. A year later and lots of local trips and two trips from PA to Florida and the rack is still in perfect condition. The key for us is IT DOESN'T RATTLE ON THE HIGHWAY! If I had to listen to 14 hours of rattling on I95 the bikes and rack would have been on the side of the highway. Exceptional value and quality!

Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I purchased the rack and receiver hitch a year ago. Installation of the rack was made simple with the installation video that was specific to my vehicle (2020 Honda Accord). Literally took less than an hour start to finish. Only tool that I needed to buy was a torque wrench, which was about 20 bucks. It did require a very small cut in the plastic bumper that was accomplished easily with a keyhole saw. There was no drilling or other significant issues. The rack itself is awesome! My wife and I have two Lectric XP3 bikes. They weigh about 65 pounds each with battery. When we travel I revome the batteries to save a bit of weight. I have made two cross country trips (over 6000 miles) with this rack and have never had an issue. Literally every gas stop or hotel stop someone asks me about the rack and bikes. It really is that nice. My wife usually scolds me because we lose a 1/2 hour of travel time each stop to visit with complete strangers:) The rack is easy to install and remove on the receiver hitch. The lockout feature works great and gives a great deal of peace of mind. The bikes are easy to load. I don't use it, but there is a ramp that could make loading the bikes easier if a person couldn't lift the bike onto the rack. There are two arms the lock onto the frame of the bikes similar to the receiver hitch. Once locked down the bikes will not move. I would recommend ordering the longer ratchet staps if you have fat tires. I think they cost around 20 bucks but the longer straps allow for a little more flexibility in arranging bikes on the rack. I would strongly recommend this product and this company.
This product arrived in perfect condition in a sturdy box and arrived as expected. The description and photo were perfect. I am only 4'11" and I can lift and put this carrier on the hitch on our vehicle. It folds up which makes it easy to install. My husband did the minor assembly. We are impressed with how securely the rack is and comes with a ramp to help ease the bike onto the rack without lifting. Also, the rack can be tilted so the back hatch of the vehicle can be accessed without taking off the rack from the car.

Rhino-Rack Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
I purchased this bike rack a year ago and I use it A LOT. I had to buy and install a stabilizer because without it, the unit would sway back and forth even without a bike on it (very noisy). This makes removal more cumbersome but since I keep the hitch on year round it doesn't matter to me. The tilting function is fabulous allowing easy use of my RAV4 hatchback. I can even tilt it down with a bike on it. I got the 2 bike hitch. Plenty of room for two bikes to fit without rubbing. Lastly, the hitch has a sizable through-hole on the bottom to thread a good sized cable so I can lock my bike up. Sturdy. I highly recommend.
Easy assembly and install. Took it for a spin day after i received it and it worked well. Heavier than expected. Well built. I'd give it 5 stars if it had straps for 2 bikes. It is a 2 bike rack after all. Pretty cheap move. Now i have to find and order more rubber straps. Keep a 3/4 socket wrench with you because you may have to tighten the hitch bolt after a while. Rack got a little wobbly after 40 miles and needed another turn on the bolt.

Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
Works well for transporting two 29" wheeled mountain bikes. However, after one year it's starting to rust in several areas (see attached photos), and the front wheel arms are becoming increasingly difficult to raise and lower. Finally the locking cable is extremely rusty as you can see in the attached photo. I'm not sure how durable this rack will be long term.
We have had this bike rack for one year and use it every week-end. My wife has a Trek e-bike (52 lbs) and I have a regular Trek hybrid (23 lbs). The rack is very sturdy and I have no issues driving at highway speeds, there is no movement of the bikes. Very easy to load and unload.

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 3 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Draw-tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver Class I - 1-1/4 Swagman Trailhead 3 Bike Rack - Tilting The Draw-tite Sportframe class 1 trailer hitch and Swagman Trailhead 3 bike rack were ordered for a 2017 Honda Fit. The online order and shipping went just as expected. The trailer hitch and bike rack are very heavy duty. I recommend watching the trailer hitch install video before installing, whereas the video is very helpful. The bike rack has triangles that you can rotate to find the best fit for your bicycle's frame. The rubber straps are thick and secure the bicycles when you pull them tight. This bike rack will stay on the vehicle for 6 months each year. The tilt feature and folding arm feature are must haves for a smaller hatchback. I am pleased with this purchase, it appears to be good quality and good value.
Just as advertised. Sturdy and solid. Folds at both the top and bottom sections for easy storage. The tie downs are well positioned and minimize bike movement. Can't wait to get on the road with it.
Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack Installation - 2024 Honda CR-V
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 Honda CR-V, we're gonna be checking out the Thule T2 Pro XTR bike rack. So first impressions of the rack on the back of the CR-V, I think it's a good fit. It looks awesome. Thule makes really nice products, have a timeless design, very user friendly, and a platform-style rack you really can't go wrong with. This particular one is gonna be capable of holding up to two bikes, and the way it's gonna do it is with a tire hook here.
Yakima FullTilt 5 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hanging style bike rack and seeing how it fits on this 2023 Honda CR-V. With this being a hanging style rack, it's gonna hold the bike by the frame with the rest of the bike kind of hanging down below it. That's where it gets its name. This one holds it in place with two zip strips up top. That's gonna be the straps that ratchet in and hold it down into the cradles with the third one on the seat post limiting our side to side movement.
Swagman XC2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman XC2 two-bike platform rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Honda CR-V. So the XC2 is popular because it is a stable bike rack, but also affordable. So if you just want a platform rack that keeps your bike secure when you're driving around, but you don't want to take up too much space or you don't wanna pay for bells and whistles that you don't need, this is gonna be the bike rack for you. You will be losing out on some premium features, but you also have a very compact rack. So what types of bikes can you carry with this rack Well, it's a two-bike platform rack, so that's gonna be two bikes.
RockyMounts GuideRail Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Cooper here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at our RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2023 Honda CR-V. Our bike rack is going to be a two-platform style bike rack, individually rated for 60 pounds each, meaning that our e-bikes are going to fit on it. As well as you can tell, there is no frame contact, which means that our carbon frame bikes, as well as our alternative frame bikes, are going to fit very well onto this rack. One of the really cool features about the GuideRail is it actually has a tilt-away feature. So holding onto our blue lever here, just holding onto our bike for a little extra security, we are able to tilt this away, allowing us access into our trunk. So that way we have our bike shoes back here, our helmets, maybe a water bottle or something.
Yakima OnRamp E-Bike Platform Rack with Ramp Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima On-Ramp, hitch-bounded bike rack, and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. The On-Ramp is a platform style bike rack and this one holds the bike in trays. You can slide the bikes back and forth anywhere along these trays so long as the wheel straps reach the wheels and our frame clamp here can wrap around the frame. It's gonna be really more of a cradle with a strap around it than a clamp.
Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hi, everyone. Aiden here at the etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hanging-Style Bike Rack, and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Honda CR-V. With this being a Hanging-Style Bike Rack, that does present some limitations. This isn't gonna be the best fit for carbon frame bikes because hanging by the frame here isn't good for those more fragile frames. This one holds it in these cradles with two straps over the top, and one around the side to limit our side-to-side movement, acting as an anti-sway cradle.
Swagman Skaha 2 Electric Bikes Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2-Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Honda CR-V. The Skaha is a platform-style bike rack, holding up to two bikes in these wheel cradles and holding them primarily by our front tire using the wheel hook. Because it uses the wheel hook, we don't have any sort of frame contact here, making this a good option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it can handle some e-bikes too. At the bottom of the bike rack towards the front end here, there's gonna be a green lever. This is what we can use to tilt the rack down, releasing the mechanism there, and lowering the rack down.
RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Rocky Mounts MonoRail hitch mounted rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. Now the Monorail is going to be a platform style bike rack. Platform means that it's going to sit on top of this tray in these wheel cradles and this one is going to be a really great value option in my opinion. It can hold up to 60 pounds per bike, two bikes each and it's going to have no frame contact holding the bike by the front tire here using this wheel hook and the back tire with a wheel strap. No frame contact makes this a great option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes making this a very versatile rack in terms of what bikes it can work with.
Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with trailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold 2 Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. The Tire Hold is a platform style bike rack. This version of it holding the bike in these trays you can adjust the bike side to side and this is gonna be a dual wheel mount style. And all that really means is the way you hold the bike is with two wheel hoops.
Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Honda CR-V. The Destination E is a platform style bike rack, holding the bike in these trays and primarily by our frame using this frame clamp. This is gonna rotate 360 degrees, move around the mast on the back here, and allow us to meet the bike where it is, that makes it a great option for alternative frame bikes. And with this being an e-bike rack, it can support up to 70 pounds per bike, so some of our bigger e-bikes can fit on here. The one thing I would steer away from is carbon frame bikes, because frame contact already isn't good for the carbon frame, and especially a clamp like this where we're putting a lot of pressure around that frame.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Honda CR-V. So, the Kuat Sherpa is a great middle of the road bike rack. I highly recommend it for people that just have a normal bike, and they wanna carry it around quickly and easily. It does have some downsides, like, it doesn't have a super great weight capacity for extra heavy electric bikes, but it does have some fun features, like this tilt away. So, if you pull this lever down here, (rack clicks) and you just let the bike rack drop down to a tilt, you will be able to open up your hatch.
Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Saris SuperClamp EX two-bike platform rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Honda CR-V. So for this SuperClamp, it's a versatile bike rack and also very compact. You can carry your heavy electric bikes, but you also fold it up really easily, so it's easy to store, both on your vehicle and in your garage. Here with the CR-V, it does work pretty well with the vehicle, although there are some things I would consider, because it is a bit of a hassle to get your bikes on there. So we'll talk about that, but we're gonna focus on the tilt-away feature first.
RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the RockyMounts AfterParty swing-away bike rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Honda CR-V. So the RockyMounts AfterParty is very similar to the RockyMounts GuideRail where you have a dual wheel mount bike rack. The thing that's special, though, with the AfterParty is it swings away, and that gives you full access to the back of your vehicle if you want to set up a campsite, open up the hatch, things like that. Now, with the CR-V, I personally would actually recommend just sticking with the RockyMounts GuideRail, and that's just because you can still tilt away both bike racks. So if you don't need that full hatch clearance, you'll still be able to open up your hatch with the bikes rack, bikes on without having to swing the entire bike rack away.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Honda CR-V. So the Kuat NV is really nice and premium bike rack with a lot of premium features. With the Honda CR-V, I actually see this combination a lot, with them paired together, because the looks match, but also it's just really easy to use this bike rack. So we'll talk about those features and see if this works for your bikes. So the first feature we'll talk about is the tilt away feature.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Honda CR-V
Hey, everyone, it's Eva Angeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination Two Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2023 Honda CR-V. So with this bike rack, you have a very lightweight, compact two bike platform rack. It is an affordable rack, so if you want the stability of a platform rack but at the price of what you would usually see for a hanging rack, this is what I would go with. There's some aspects of it that I really like but there's some downsides as well like how it has a limited weight capacity to 35 pounds per bike and this bike rack does not tilt away. So if you need to access your hatch, you are gonna have to take the bike off.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman XC 2 two-bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V Now, the Swagman XC 2 is actually really popular with the CR-V owners because it's gonna be the quickest and most affordable way to get into the platform rack space. So if you have a two inch or inch and a quarter hitch receiver on your CR-V, and you want something that has a bit more stability than a hanging rack but isn't that pricey, that's where the XC 2 comes in handy. So it does a decent job at making sure your bike is steady as you drive around. It's not swinging around, but it also has its downsides like its very limited features. So that comes in so be mindful.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So right off the bat, you're gonna need a hitch receiver on your CR-V, a two inch hitch receiver if you wanna carry this bike rack. This is gonna be a two plus two rack, so you can quickly remove this extension if you wanna convert it back to a two bike rack or add the extension if you wanted to turn it into a four bike platform rack. It is on the heavier side. I would recommend having a friend help you out with installing it.
Thule Epos 3 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hi, Matt here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be talking about the Thule Epos 3-Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Honda CR-V. This is gonna be a versatile platform bike rack. As you can see here, it's capable of carrying carbon frame bikes. On the back tire, it has a strap instead of being on the frame itself, but this center mast is also capable of sliding over to the frame and being attached anywhere, so it's great for mountain bikes as well. It can also carry about 66 pounds per bike, so that's gonna be great for any of your e-bikes, for anything super heavy.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Transfer V2 three-bike platform rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So the Transfer is unique because you can carry around multiple bikes, but it still has this open space in the middle to make it easier to load those bikes up. And if you have it folded up against the CR-V, you still have a lot of visibility in the back. So focusing on this bike rack with this car, first, we're going to tilt it away. So if you needed to open up your hatch and grab whatever you needed, what I do is I put the arms up to the side that way it can step into that goal post design, and then it's easier to hit that lever to bring the rack down. Unfortunately though, because the Transfer doesn't tilt down that much, if you did want to open up the hatch fully on the CR-V, we are not able to do so.
Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo on our 2022 Honda CR-V. The StageTwo is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays, and primarily, by our front wheel up here. It's gonna mean zero frame contact, make it good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with a 70 pound weight capacity per bike, good for our e-bikes too and even some of the heavier ones. 60 pounds tends to be the standard for a lot of e-bike racks, so it's great to see when one goes a little bit above and beyond for those heavier bikes. Now, like many other bike racks in this class, we have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded.
Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone, Aiden here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the Saris SuperClamp HD on our 2022 Honda CR-V. The SuperClamp is going to be a platform style bike rack, holding the bike in these cradles, and primarily, by the tires. We've got a wheel hook on either tire, and some secondary points of contact in those cradles, just some wheel straps holding it down in place. and that's gonna give us a really solid hold of the bike in the bike rack. Now, like many other bike racks in this class, we have the ability to tilt it away with bikes loaded.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Swagman XTC2TILT on our 2022 Honda CR-V. Now the XTC is a platform style bike rack. It holds a bike in these wheel hoops at the bottom and primarily holding it in place with this frame hook up top. That's gonna hold it down in those wheel hoops and keep it secure. And the frame contact is gonna mean that we wanna avoid carbon frame bikes because it can damage the frame.
Rhino Rack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone. Aiden here with E-trailer. Today we're taking a look at the Rhino Rack Hanging style bike rack on our 2022 Honda CR-V. This is gonna be a hanging style rack that holds a bike by the frame up here in these cradles. We've got held down with these two straps on top and a third one around the seat post to act as our anti-sway cradle. That's gonna limit the side to side movement of the bike a little bit and help with bike to bike contact.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 bike rack on our 2022 Honda CR-V. This is going to be a platform style bike rack, holding the bike in these trays and primarily by the frame. We've got our cradle right here with a strap run around the frame to hold it in place. That cradle will rotate 360 degrees. Now because it makes frame contact we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes.
CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the Curt Premium four bike rack on our 2022 Honda CR-V. Now the Curt Premium is a hanging style rack which means the bike hangs by the frame. We've got two straps over the frame at the top here keeping it down in the cradles. And the third one on the seat post, the seat post strap is gonna limit that side to side movement. It's still there, but it does help limit it and reduce bike to bike contact or in some cases even bike to vehicle contact. You can see our front tire doesn't really wanna sit still right here so I might consider adding a cam buckle strap from the tire to the frame just to keep it still.
What our customers are saying:
"I ordered a trailer hitch and a bike rack carrier the order was shipped with in three days. To put the hitch on only took about 30 mins. only had to drill two 1/2 holes. fit like a glove."
