2018 Chevrolet SilveradoA lot of people told me I could not put a goose neck hitch on a 1/2 ton truck. My 2018 Silverado handled the hardware just fine and it pulls an 8,000 lb 3 horse full tack room trailer with ease. I have a 6.5 foot bed - would not recommend this on a 5 foot bed b/c if you jackknife while backing up you will smash your back window. I also recommend installation by a company that does this type of install regularly. I drove an hour to Ocala and had it done at The Hitching Post. They were fair with pricing and easy to work with. Lastly you want to keep a pair of vice grips in your truck to pull up the rollover ball when it is flat. Hay and dust gets in the cracks and it is difficult to pull it up with just your fingers. Overall I highly recommend.

Great product, easy install. On a 2023 Chevy 1500 Duramax, you can unbolt the rear fuel tank strap and get enough room to slide the center section in without disturbing the exhaust piping.

Seems to be good quality, fairly heavy built. The ball locking pin does not fully move to the lock/unlock position using the release handle. I'm not sure if it is out of alignment, or maybe has some paint/coating buildup, but I have to pry the pin to lock/unlock the ball from the hitch. I would have hoped for better. Install was pretty easy, the instructions were decent, however, I think the pictures could be better and more of them. They were very dark in color and difficult to see. I also found some of the bolts impossible to reach with a torque wrench to tighten. I suppose there are torque wrenches that could fit in the tight spots, I just do not have one.

Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch w/ Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs
I like the hitch but when ai am pulling my trailers, and I am moving them around at low speeds it seems that there is a good amount of movement in the hitch and the feel in the truck. I’m not sure what that is but I have used trucks that didn’t have that feel in them but mine definitely does. We followed all directions and torqued all bolts to the required amount. Maybe someone can shed some light on what that maybe. Thanks
The kit arrived in two days. The quality is very good. All the parts fit as described. We were able to install it in a few hours without a lift. We plan on pulling a 14,000 # trailer to move farm equipment. This trailer will replace an old 12,000# pintle hitch trailer. I would definitely recommend this kit to others.

2000 Ford F-150Unit installed and pulled my fifth wheel to provincetowne Mass. Unhooked and pulled the ball out and picked up some firewood. Nice flat surface. Love it. Only way to go.
Great value and durability. Self install in about 3 hours and has remained solid since then. Put in about 10k miles towing a 31 foot trailer with it.

Shipping was super fast and the Product was exactly what I was looking for. Fits flush with the bead and out of the way for anything you decide to haul. And the ball is stored in place without having to keep it somewhere else. Only issue I had was with Chevrolet. They had one of the nuts welded in crooked and I had to do some adjusting on one of the holes. Everything else was perfect. Very well made and instructions are pretty decent. Between the videos and the instructions it was very easy to follow. If you’re like me and don’t want to cut your fender liners I simply removed the front bed bolts and jacked one side up to slide in the mounting rails. The only fender I had to cut was the drivers side to allow for the latch pin lever. I really like just how “flush” the hitch really is once you turn over the ball. Overall very impressed with the hitch so far and have already recommended the hitch to other family members and friends.
This hitch is great and I installed it with no problems. This is the hitch to buy if you want quality and strength. The removable ball stores away and is right where you need it.

Great product and perfect fit for my 2005 GMC Sierra duramax. I just purchased a Montana fifth wheel and wanted to still be able to use the bed of the truck without taking a heavy hitch in and out and breaking my back. The hitch arrived really fast and the boxes were in pretty good shape and I was only missing one washer from a torn parts bag. I was able to install the hitch that weekend with help of the directions and how to YouTube video. The only issue I had was that the video stated the crossbar with the notch went to the rear while the directions showed it going to the front. It definitely goes to the front and was pretty obvious when installing it. I didn’t have any real issues with the install and it looks great and hides away nicely leaving a clean flat bed. I look forward to hauling my fifth wheel real soon.

Reese Under-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit
For the price of the product, packaging was terrible, product arrived with paint missing from several large areas due to shipping damage. Box was barely intact when it arrived. Also was missing one of the large grade 8 4.25” long bolts. So after a trip to the hardware store to replace the missing bolt and buy some paint to fix the damaged finish, got it installed pretty easy.
Excellent underbody hitch system. Installation went well once the body was off. If your installing on a late model ford you may want to be sure you have new bed bolts available. Ford says they are not reusable for some reason but it did not matter in my case. Even though I put PB rust blaster on 2 days in advance the cage nuts broke the cage and spun. Ended up having to grind the tops off to remove the body and then using some heat to custom bend a box end wrench to get into the box frame so I was able to remove the (now) studs. This was on a 4 year old truck but New England winters at work here i’m sure. Once the body was off installation was a breeze. Fit is perfect.

The ball does not fit my truck puck, despite being made for/compatible with it based on brand, year and model. etrailer provided # for B&W directly. Customer service at both companies has been excellent so far. Awaiting replacement ball from B&W which they shipped over night express. Hoping it fits. The product itself is very heavy and appears well made and easy to use.

Difficult to determine installation ease, as I had the bed off my truck while installing. That made it very easy, but instructions were good and its a straightforward process. Ok first off. The paint adhesion of any b&w product is probably the worst I've seen for the money. The paint is the first thing that falls off. That being said if you know that already and take some precautions like I did then you can really easily fix this problem. I sandblasted the back half of my frame and did the 3 step por-15 method on everything. I currently live in Indiana and I do seldomly drive it in the winter but I hate rust and will be moving more south shortly. I por-ed every part that came with the hitch. Every bolt and nut got anti-seize. The bolts are also of basic quality and will rust fast. Anything that was metal on metal contact has a layer of marine grease to prevent the from from rusting in between. I'm extra but I felt that this was the only way to go to protect everything. It's still a great product and hasn't let me down yet.

Curt Overbed, Folding Ball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs
Etrailer is awesome, not so much for this product. My first and primary issue is that the safety chain u-bolts are positioned to close to the angle iron brackets to allow clearance for them to freely move up and down with the nuts installed (see photos). I can force them up from below with a hammer and stomped them back down from above. This problem is made worse due to the proximity to the ball, if I dont ensure they arent stomped down as much as possible they would interfere with my coupler when turning. I'm honestly still worried about interference if I find myself in any off camber turn. The other problem I have isnt the fault of the hitch, but now that its installed it is still much more intrusive to the bed space when folded flat than I anticipated. In the past I've had under bed mount balls, this being a work truck I thought the cheaper option would work but I regret that decision.
Etrailer has always come through . Even if there is an issue they respond quickly and that means alot . The prices are the best .

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the B&W underbed gooseneck kit on a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Now, this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. And you can see, pretty quickly, that your ball just kinda drops in here and your safety chain loops are spring-loaded, so it's gonna keep it nice and flat. And the great part about having a gooseneck, especially this one here, is gonna be the fact that when you're not using this, you can simply take the ball, turn it over, drop it in place and your bed is still a truck bed. And you can see, the clearances here really don't take up anything.
