my companion 5th wheel hitch(rvk3370) hitch was delivered on 3/11, I installed it in a couple hours on 3/12. It was a piece of cake, the delivery was made with a lift gate truck that I back my truck up to and had the driver lower the lift gate down onto my tailgate, I unpackaged the hitch and was able to Maneuver it by myself into the puck system on my truck, I have the slider hitch so much heavier than the standard one, but still very easy for my 65 year old body to handle, the B t W was the only hitch I considered because of the ruggedness and quality of their products my truck is a 2023 Ford F 350
Will at eTrailer.com did a great job walking me through the 5th wheel hitch and air lift options that I needed. The B&W Companion Slider Hitch installed like a charm, and looks to be great quality! Nice fit and finish, B&W.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Ford Super Duty Prep Package - 18K
Well built fifth wheel hitch. Haven't got a chance to tow our new Montana High Country 295RL. But I know a guy that has towed his fifth wheel with this same hitch. I'm sure this 18K hitch will be excellent! Or I wouldn't have bought it. I recommend e trailer for everything.
Very happy with my Demco Autoslide hitch after one year. We pull a Montana 3120 35 ft 5th wheel with a 2019 Ford F-350 short bed. Took a month long 6,000 mile trip from Colorado to New England/Canada this Summer. Lots of hilly/curvy roads and some remote campgrounds with tight corners and some near 80 degree back ins. Never came close to trailer contacting the truck. I’ve had no jerking or other issues when turning or stoping/starting. Works great. The only drawback is there isn’t much room for error when you back up to hook up the trailer, so it takes a little practice to get used to correctly lining up your Demco Hitch to the trailer. The first couple of trips, it took me 3 or 4 attempts to properly line it up. No longer an issue for me after a few trips and you get used to the angles. It weighs about 300 pounds. I got a small chain hoist which I installed in my garage rafters and easily lift the hitch in and out of my truck and just let it hang front he rafters until I need to use it.

really like how well built the hitch is. It's heavy to lift but manageable. Head can be easily separated from frame by removing both quick pins to lift out of truck in 2 pieces. I plan on installing an electric hoist from Harbor freight in my garage to lift hitch in and out of truck in one piece. Definitely would recommend this hitch to anyone.

Ford F-250 Super DutyVery high quality product. Used on a extended cab short bed F250 and the sliding mechanism provides plenty of clearance between the Fifth Wheel front and the truck's cab. Fits Ford's factory fifth wheel bed mount holes perfectly. Used to tow a 42' fifth wheel regularly. Foot print is small enough to allow me to retain my tool box in the truck during towing. The hitch is heavy! Do not plan to try to install with one person with out an engine hoist or gantry crane. Two strong people can, but extreme caution should be taken as the hitch weighs nearly 300lbs and is awkward.
2022 Ford F-350 Super DutyI have a F350 Super Duty Short bed. This slider works as expected. The ease of backing or tight turns makes this product excellent without the need to pulls pins for extension. I can remove or install in 7 minutes without a problem without any assistance. I am pulling a 44 foot trailer and have not experience any chucking or sway even in windy conditions. Tows very smoothly

Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs
I gave it 4 stars only because I haven't experienced the operational aspects of the 5th wheel hitch yet. That will happen in the coming months when we put the hitch to work. The packaging was a little beat up but all the pieces were in great shape and the nuts and bolts were there. The assembly went well, directions are easy to follow step by step. The only issue I had was with the 4 bolts that connect the plate assembly to the slider assembly. They were in an award place which made it somewhat difficult to start all 4 and tightening them without the correct tool. You really need a ratchet wrench to snug them up. I couldn't get to them with my 1/2" torque wrench to I used blue lock-tight a long with the supplied lock washers and hand tightened them the best I could which should be fine, I'll check them along with the other 8 on the slider assembly after a couple of trips to make sure all is good. There is some timely maintenance you need to pay attention to, that I haven't experienced on other hitches but it's no big deal. From a construction standpoint, it's well built, I like the cast pieces, not alot of welds to worry about or check on from time to time. The slider assembly is well thought out and works as it should with a fool proof locking mechanism. The double jaws should provide ample clamping power. The pivoting head also appears to be well thought out and should provide plenty of tilt for those award hookups you find yourself in from time to time. So far I'm please with the equipment and the price I paid for it. Not to mention FREE SHIPPING. Your definitely getting your money's worth in a sound, well built 5th wheel hitch assembly.
Got here about four days early. Packaging was great. Haven’t used the hitch yet, but have used the Q24 for ten years. I really like Curt products and etrailer has the best prices I have found. Great service. Highly recommend.

Extremely easy install. You will need a torque wrench that’ll go up to 110 ft/lbs. glad I did my research and went with the B&w gooseneck hitch in anticipation of getting this 5th wheel companion hitch at a later time.

Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs
Upgraded from TT to fifth wheel. Once I learned the basic operation I have had mo problems with this hitch. Rides a little high because of adapter for factory puck adaptor but still fits my tonneau cover which I also bought from etrailer.
First off I just got done installing the hitch and I hooked on my 35ft fith wheel trailer and went for a ride with windows down sun roof open and not a single rattle , clank , or noise from the bed of the truck with this hitch . It was easy to assemble but I did have one spot where the paint got chipped on the slider during shipping so I just touched it up . Very satisfied with hitch it latches automatically when you back in to it and the slider part works like it should .

Curt A16 with Slider base for Ford OEM Pucks I went through a good bit of anxiety after trading my 2013 F-250 for a 2018 F-250 due to the height of the 2018. I did not pay close enough attention to bedrail and rear height and I was beside myself sick over it so this review might be a bit long while I explain my journey. I replaced a 2013 F-250 4WD with a Reese Pro Series 16K square tube slider universal mount with a 2018 F-250 with OEM pucks. I pull a 2015 Prime Time Crusader 315RST. I measured, I had boards with levels, mock up on hitch height, I read every forum and article I could find and still I was worried I had made a big mistake. Finally, I called eTrailer and talked to Molly and she had, (or went and got) plenty of answers as I had narrowed it down to the B&W BWRVK3370 20K Companion Slider and the Curt A12. I decided to not go for the “the most expensive is better” and went with the Curt A12 saving me about $300. The 20K B&W was the smallest they had and with an F-250 I would never really come close to that weight before I passed the GCVW limit so it made no sense. The Slider base for the Curt says it is the same base used up to 24K so if I ever do I can just buy the new head I believe. Ordered on a Saturday it arrived on Thursday at noon. No issues with shipping at all, the hitch came in 2 boxes strapped to a pallet. No damage like others experienced. Assembly took me about an hour because it is heavy and awkward to line up the slider linkage but all in all nothing too difficult. I set the hitch head mount at the 2nd from the bottom (18 inch) hitch height because I had measured the truck and camper and was worried about having 6 inches of clearance camper to bed rail. Turns out on a 2018 F-250 4WD at the 18-inch level on the hitch I have 8 inches all around and 7 inches at the highest point on the tailgate. After I installed the hitch and put the camper on the truck and applied weight I got about 3-4 inches of squat, which made the already rear high truck sink to near level. I do have more nose high attitude on the trailer than I had before but it was not terrible. I moved the height adjustment down to the 17 inch (lowest) today to lessen the nose high attitude by another inch and I have 6+ inches clearance still. The hitch. Like I said before I had a Reese Pro Series 16K slider and it was noisy as hell. Kingpin clunk starting and stopping, creak at every bump and turn. I put the Curt A16 in and took the trailer for a drive with the rear slider window open and heard nothing. Absolutely nothing. No start/stop clunk, no creaking, nothing. Hook up was very easy and the interlaced kingpin jaws make visual check very easy. Operating the slide takes a bit more effort but it worked fine and locked securely. It did not latch back to maneuver and then back again to towing automatically like the video without jostling the handle a little but I am sure it will once broken in and I grease it a bit more. The puck system was easy to adjust and make a solid connection to the truck with no play. I could not be more pleased with the hitch. Cons- The hardware was packaged like one would expect and it was all there but the bolt for the center connection of the slider linkage was different than the handle and passenger side joints. It is too small and caused a lot of play. I used it anyway but it allows play in the handle and not firm for unlatching. I will replaced it today and now it works great. eTrailer is now my go to store for trailering supplies.

From the start,the folks at etrailer were very courteous and helpful. I called many times during the decision making process and everyone was always right there to help. When I finally decided to purchase the B&W 18K Patriot w/slider Bailey was there to help with the order. She explained the free freight shipping and it was a done deal. It arrived 1 day earlier than stated, as soon as I opened the cartons it was in fact the good ol' American made quality I was accustomed to growing up. I proceeded to install on the B&W rails I purchased and installed locally on my 2022 F250 Lariat/ Tremor.I had a small hick- up with the install and etrailer gave me B&W's # as they like to handle issues themselves. Stephanie at B&W was just as courteous. Overall a very pleasant experience. The Patriot was basically plug and play. I then connected my 2021 Grand Design 303RLS Reflection and rolled down yhe road. What a smooth and quiet ride, loved it! I would definitely recommend etrailer and their products. Thank you all that helped.
So far so good. Hitch appears to be good quality. It was easy to install after installing the mounting kit. I haven't used it yet so I can't comment on how it handles when pulling a camper.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Underbed - 18,000 lbs
This was the best solution for my Dodge RAM 2500 towing my Alliance 340RL 38' 5th Wheel. My son helped me install the rails under the bed and now it is very easy to remove the hitch when I am not using it. It is very strong and I highly recommend this for anyone with a short bed truck.
When you use google chrome it does not move you to the next page to custom fit. So it just tells you your truck shows you the product and I order 6k worth of items without putting in the custom specs that you don't know to hit. Somehow with the info I put in my two other products work but this one doesn't and I have to pay for shipping to this to fix it. Wish if you ordered 6k worth of Items they would be a little more understanding that their site does not walk you what needs to be done and help you fix the problem without charging you more. Prep and Puck systems are two different things now I know.

Demco auto slide hitch works very well with my crew cab short bed Ram. Fits under my tonneau cover nicely. Trouble free thus far. Had to purchase a Demco plate for the camper to make the Rhino box hitch work. etrailer personnel were great in helping ensure I had the right products and kept me well informed of shipping dates.
My wife and I are full-time RVers, and have used this slider hitch from the get-go while traveling around seeing the country over the past year. We are happy with our purchase, which has proven to be both easy to hook up, adjust, and functions well, as advertised. The only matter I think you may want to address are the thick plastic removable maintenance access covers which tend to bow, and the areas around the attachment holes have melted, in the hot weather. Perhaps instead using a light metal for the covers would be better solution. We are very happy overall with this hitch, and plan to keep it . Thank you.

I wanted to be able to easily utilize my truck bed and this hitch provides that in spades! Easy to remove and install. I absolutely have to give a shout out to Paula on customer service. She was amazing! My first shipment was damaged and missing a vital part. Paula had another one shipped right away and made my return shipment a breeze. She stayed in contact with me to the end. I felt like she shared in my joy once the install was complete! The hitch is super adjustable for optimal placement in the bed and height of the trailer. Make a few quick measurements and it just goes together quickly. Love the dual jaw release lever. Our last 5th wheel hitch had the standard pull to release lever and it was often very difficult to operate. This lever style is a game changer. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the product and customer service!
I installed this system in my classic square body Silverado after installing the Turnover Ball BK1400 gooseneck hitch. Both work great together and this companion installed beautifully. I tow a 40’ Cougar camper with it.

Ford F-350 Super DutyDoesn't operate as easily as I hoped. Sticks when trying to slide which means jumping in and out of cab many times. Also its heavy as it should be,but it doesn't come apart easily for removal in two pieces that can be lifted separately. You need a winch to remove it safely. Its a pain in the you know what. I like my old two piece hitch better. I could take it in and out in a few minutes, but it won't work in my new f350.

Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Ford OEM Legs - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs
Short version: Product is fine. Etrailer shipping is laughable at best. First off, as far as the hitch goes, its a Curt product. Quality is great, it'll work just fine. At least the portion of the hitch that has arrived.... Dealing with Etrailer on the other hand has been a big disappointment. I specifically ordered this hitch from Etrailer because of the estimated delivery times. I needed the hitch prior to a weekend (for reference, the 20th) to move a trailer and the estimated delivery time was three days prior (the 17th) to that weekend. AFTER the order was placed, the estimated delivery became the 19th, a friday.... okay, so my two day buffer was gone but it was still projecting to be here in time. Friday rolls around and nothing delivers. On the following Monday (the 22nd), one of two packages arrives in awful condition. Absolutely destroyed box, patched together with sections of cardboard and staples, and wrapped in tape, styrofoam all broken up... fortunatley its a beefy hitch and did not have anything other than cosmetic damage. A 110lb hitch in a cardboard box. You think a company shipping a 100+lb hitch would take measures to protect their products a bit better. I called etrailer and they said they would look into the missing portion of the shipment with UPS and get back to me. Should be quick right? Wrong. I took the liberty of calling UPS directly to see if they could update me. Only 11 minutes on hold and they informed me they did not know where the package was and would start a claim. Okay... stuff happens. Figured I would call etrailer and take next steps. I call etrailer back and they said they cant do anything until they hear back from UPS... I talked to UPS in 11 minutes so I'm not sure what they're waiting on. I asked if they would send me a separate set of legs (the missing package) so I could get this trailer moved, and they refused to do so until UPS responds to them (I guess etrailer cant make phone calls, email only). I should have went with my gut and ordered elsewhere. Oh well. I know where to NOT take my business now. Package your products better and provide realistic estimated shipping times.
This hitch is much easier than my Pullrite, and a lot less weight. I'm a newbie with 5th wheels and I really love this hitch.

Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Roller - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs
Etrailer sent me a one year follow-up email. Since purchasing this I've used it to tow our 11k lb camper about 5k miles. The hitch and slider have worked exactly as they should and I have no complaints.
Well, I haven't towed with it yet but we'll see how that goes. I purchased this hitch because I needed to drop the height as much as 6 inches. My previous hitch was dropped to the lowest setting and still 17 inches high! This E16 goes down to 14 inches... Assembly was straight forward and all pieces were present ( even 4 big washers which were not illustrated anywhere in the instructions as to where they went) The hitch seems well built but the welder needs to be more thorough in cleaning his Slag (got my finger good when I picked up the top plate) Stickers were falling off everywhere (my heat gun fixed those) But a couple notable design flaws... The top cradle for the 5th wheel plate is a triangular shaped arch and the top plate has an axle which is perfectly round. So when the 5th wheel assembly is down in the cradle, there are only two little points of contact instead of the cradle fitting uniformly around the axle rods...we'll see what kind of wear this causes. Next, the green ring on the indicator rod looked like a 3 year old toddler wiped lipstick on it. (Green paint is supposed to be in the little groove cut in the rod but instead, is smeared all over the end of the rod) Lastly... The side plates have a two rows of holes for height adjustment...I have installed the bolts to position the overall height at the lowest possible setting. However, there are two more holes in the tie plate but the casting prevents the sideplates from dropping down even lower. Definitely confused as to what the extra holes are for and disappointed that I can't drop this even lower... Definitely seems heavy duty, but again, I haven't towed yet, so hopefully the play in the base rails doesn't translate into obnoxious clanking and rattling.... If so, I will definitely be doing another review

I purchased both the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs - C16120, and Reese Pull Pin Lock Plates for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - Qty 4 - RP58093 for my F350 SD 4X4 Crew Cab Long Bed. I'm pulling a 30' Retro 5th. Wheel and at times I pull my tandem axle UTV Trailer (Double Trailers) . I already had the rails installed in my truck, this fit right in and I used the new Pins and Lock Plates for securing to truck. I have pulled all over from South Dakota and the Northwest. The Hitch has performed Flawlessly. No bucking, nor clunking. Very quiet and smooth ride. I would recommend this set up to anyone for convenience of Hook up and Disconnect, Excellent towing, quiet, and the security of the lock pins. I use Disc locks to prevent access for bolt cutters.
I was fully expecting a hitch in excess of 100 pounds to show up in a destroyed box. This did not. They had taken the Time and effort to cover the box with an additional layer of cardboard and it must have had a million staples in it. It was almost comical, you will need a crowbar or large screwdriver to get it open. However, when I did finally get the package open I found a perfectly un scratched hitch with no missing parts. I have not pulled with the hitch yet but , it does look like it is going to perform great. I'm using this in a 2006 ram 2500 4x4 short bed pulling a 2015 forest river Salem and it allows 91 degrees of turning due to the clipped corners on the front cap of the trailer. I will be curious to see how long the rubber isolators last before needing replaced and if they are readily available. Also the curt sticker on the hitch was peeling off when I took it out of the box, would be nice to get that replaced.

Love the hitch. Hooks up easily and solid. Gives plenty of clearance. Only downside is it’s very noisy and you really feel the trailer. But for the price and weight it’s still 5 stars. Going to go up to a highway payload truck and will be getting the B&W companion for that. Not a reflection of the performance of this hitch though

B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs
6000 miles towing this year; loaded trailer weight 16,480 lbs (based on CAT scale weight tickets). Hitch is awesome. Very secure with no noticeable chucking. I can remove and install this hitch by myself. The two pieces are very manageable. My fifth B&W hitch over the years; 2 turnover ball goosenecks and 2 tow & stows. Quality hitches which I recommend highly.

Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter - 20,000 lbs
We have the Anderson Hitch installed on our 2017 Ford SuperDuty and pull a Reflection 337RLS. We have traveled over 4,000 miles and have been extremely satisfied. The hitch allows plenty of clearance between 5th wheel, bed, and the truck cab. Hook-up and disconnect has always been easy, even with RV lots that were uneven dirt lots. I use Curt thin rubber sound dampeners (item 16900) and this provides a quiet, tight fit between the rails and hitch. Of course the light weight makes it easy to remove when not towing and less weight when you are towing. A great product for the right truck, trailer combination.
After receiving the kit i saw another one on the shelf at a local store. I noticed the one on the shelf had a steel ball cup mounted to it. Mine did not have that part. I called andersen and asked if the ball cup was available for purchase seperately. They told me no need to purchase bevause they will ship me one for free! Later on, i towed my trailer to a camp site and upon arrival i could not get the release pin to open to drop the trailer while we stayed in it. I called andersen and described the problem i had, they shipped a whole new block and cable assembly for free!! I am ver pleased with the product and also impressed with the level of customer service!

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the B&W Companion Sliding Fifth Wheel for OEM-prepped Ford trucks. Now, today we have it in a 2024 Ford F-250. Now if you have the factory prep, or puck system as they call it, on your Ford, this is gonna be a great option, especially with those short beds because of the sliding function. And if you've towed fifth wheels before, you know that when you start to make tight turns with those short bed trucks, you can run the risk of damaging the cab corners with that fifth wheel hitting the truck. Well, the great thing about having a sliding fifth wheel means you can still keep your short bed truck and not have to worry about hitting those cab corners because when you make those tight turns, you can slide the head back, giving you more clearance. (metal thudding) Now in that sliding back position, you gain 12 inches of travel, and that's gonna make the world a difference when you get yourself into a tight situation where you just can't turn anymore but you really can't get out of there, sliding this is gonna allow you to get that clearance, make that tight turn, and get out of that situation.

So it's really cool that Ford offer that OEM prep package in some of the trucks. Just makes it super convenient to put a fifth wheel hitch like this one in or even a gooseneck for that matter. Essentially it just drops right into that puck system. But be careful though, not every one of these trucks has that prep package.

B and W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today we'll be showing you how to install the B&W Companion OEM 5th wheel hitch with slider base here on our 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty. If you own a newer Ford truck and you have the Ford towing prep package in it and you're wanting a 5th wheel hitch that can give you a little bit more turning clearance because you have a shorter bed and just can't make those tight turns like you could if you had an eight foot bed. Then the B&W Companion with slider base is going to be the hitch for you. With this slider base, it has feet designed to drop straight into the puck system that comes with your Ford towing prep package. The handles are super easy to use, simply just pull them out to unlock your hitch or, once you have your hitch dropped in, just pull 'em in towards the base and then lock 'em up with your pin and clip. This makes installation and removal for an empty bed to tow any other items, maybe you're moving some furniture, maybe you just wanna load this up with some other gear and don't want to have that hitch in the way, just makes it super easy to get it outta here.

Now this is gonna go onto your Band W under bed mount kit for your gooseneck. Now this is gonna be on a 2019 Ford F250. So let's go through, take a look at it and see the install portion, and this is a great option because it's pretty easy to put in place. So if you're going from your goose neck to a fifth wheel with an extra set of hands or two, you can get this loaded in place and ready to rock in less than 10 minutes. Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Ford F-250, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Reese Elite Series Preassembled Fifth-Wheel Hitch with Slider, part number RP30144.Here's what our fifth-wheel and slider looks like installed. Now, the reason you're going to want this particular fifth-wheel and slider compared to other options on the market is that if your Ford truck, such as this one, has the factory rail system, this drops right in with no modification to the vehicle required at all. Also, you're going to need a slider if your truck does not have 8' bed. This particular truck has a 6-3/4' bed.As we make sure quick turns or do tight corners or pull into gas stations, we run the risk of having the overhang of our fifth-wheel contacting the cab of our truck. Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider Installation - 2015 Ford F-250
Today on our 2015 Ford F250 we're going to be taking a look at the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package, part number C16520-16020. Here's what our 5th wheel hitch looks like fully installed. It's going to allow us to tow a 5th wheel trailer, and even though we have a short bed truck, that's where the slider's going to come in and it gives it that little bit of extra clearance. We come to the driver's side of our hitch here, the vertical bar here, it's going to be a latch for our slide. Now, this red indicator is letting us know that it's unlocked. When it's in the unlocked position, it's going to allow our hitch to slide back so when we make a turn, we don't have to worry about our 5th wheel trailer making contact with our cab. Then when we're ready to straighten back out, the hitch will slide back into the towed position, and we can lock the handle. Now here on our slider on the other side, it's going to show a green indicator letting us know that we're ready to tow.
B and W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ford F-250
Today on our 2015 Ford F250, we're gonna be taking a look at the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package, part number BWRVK3370. Now, our fifth-wheel hitch is gonna allow us to tow a fifth-wheel trailer, and since it has a slider base on it, it's gonna give us that extra clearance when we're making tight turns so our trailer doesn't come in contact with our cab. Our handle's down here. It's gonna have it labeled. It's in the locked position. If we go to the unlocked position, we're gonna be able to slide our hitch a full 12 inches to give us that extra clearance.
