Now, we've already gone ahead and installed our cargo carrier into the hitch and put our hitch pin in, securing it to the vehicle. This is what your carrier would look like on your truck. Now, we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. The cargo carrier's closest point to the back of the vehicle is 4 inches and it will add an additional 28 inches of overall length to your vehicle. The ground clearance at the back of the carrier is 17-1/2 inches.



Surco Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Dodge Ram

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier by Surco, part number 52018F. Now, we've already gone ahead and installed our cargo carrier into the hitch. We've lined up the hitch pin hole and installed our hitch pin. With the cargo carrier in the stored position, this is what it will look like on your truck. Now, we'll give you a few measurements. Your ground clearance with the cargo carrier folded is 17-1/2 inches and from the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 4-1/2 inches.



Curt Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Dodge Ram

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20x60 Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier, part #C18100. Now, we've already gone ahead and installed the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin and installed the hitch pin. So our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. We'll go ahead and give you a few measurements here in the stored position. We'll then fold the platform down and give you a few more measurements. In the stored position, the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is three and a half inches and the ground clearance 13 inches.



Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Dodge Ram

Today on our 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20x48 Cargo Carrier for both inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches, part #C18145. With our vehicle equipped with a two-inch hitch, we've already installed our adaptors so we're ready to go ahead and fit it. We'll simply place the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and insert our hitch pin. And with our safety pin installed on the other side of our anti-rattle bolt, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. And this is what it would look like on your truck. Now we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements.



Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, we'll be test fitting the 72 by 32 by 39 Let's Go Aero High-Profile Enclosed Cargo Carrier with ramp, part number HCK673. It offers us 51 cubic feet of space, has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. We can go ahead and begin our test fit by taking a few measurements. Now we've already got the shank of our carrier into our receiver and tightened down and with our included anti-rattle bolt. We've already got our supports tightened down to our fixed anchor point underneath our vehicle or our bumper. It's always good to have a helping hand when you're loading this thing up, because it does weigh a few pounds. For our nearest point from our bumper to here, it's going to be about 7". Overall to our Dodge Ram we've added about 47".



Detail K2 20x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab we will be test fitting the Detail K2 cargo carrier, part number K2HCC602. Now this cargo carrier is for 2" hitches. It offers 500 pounds of capacity and its dimensions are 20 by 60". We'll go ahead and start by inserting our shank into our receiver until our pinholes line up. Once we got those lined up, insert our pin and clip. We can go ahead and take some measurements. Offers about 15" of ground clearance.



MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab we will be test fitting the MaxxTow cargo carrier, part number MT70107. This cargo carrier offers 500 capacity and has dimensions of 17 by 50". Now I'll go ahead and insert the shank into our receiver until our pinholes line up. Once we have those lined up, take our pin and clip. Once we have that we'll go ahead and take a couple measurements here. As you can see, we've got 16-1/2" of ground clearance. To the nearest point we're looking at about 4" from our cargo carrier to our bumper.



Rola Dart Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab we will be test fitting the Rola Dart cargo carrier. That's part number 59550. This offers 450 pounds of capacity and its dimensions are 23 by 56. We can go ahead and start by inserting our shank into our receiver hitch. We're looking for our pinholes to line up. We can go ahead and begin hand tightening that anti-rattle bolt.



Curt 19x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Series Quad Cab pickup, we're going to be testing fitting the Curt Aluminum Cargo Carrier. This does have a five hundred pound capacity. It's dimensions are nineteen by sixty inches and it's designed for two inch hitches as well. It's part number is C18100. We've got a two inch hitch on this truck here today so we're going to begin by sliding the shank of the cargo carrier into the receiving tube of the hitch until the pinholes are aligned and once they are we're going to push the pin through and then we're going to place the clip in the other end of that pin. Now that that's in place, we're going to do a couple of measurements starting with ground clearance. This carrier is going to offer just about fifteen inches of ground clearance to this point right here.

Today on our 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 we're doing a test fit of the Curt 20x60 cargo carrier. This is a folding cargo carrier designed to work with 2-inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. We're going to start off by taking some measurements here. Ground clearance being first, we're going to have about 21 1/2-inches to the bottom of our carrier. Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 34 3/4-inches. Our closest point here is going to be about 14-inches away.

Today on our 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 we're doing a test fit of the Max Tow 48 by 21 Cargo Carrier. That part number is MT70422. Now, this is designed to work with two inch hitches and have a 500 pound weight capacity. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very light weight. It's made out of an aluminum, so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. First thing we want to do is take a few measurements. Ground clearance being first, we're going to have about 21 inches. Overall, to our vehicle we're going to have about 28 1/4 inches.



Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg Carlson 23x60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is CC-100. We already have our carrier installed. Today on our 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 we're doing a test fit of the Darby Extend-A-Truck hitch mounted load extender. That part number is DTA944. Now, we already have it loaded in our first position here. We're going to go over some features and then we'll show you our second position. One of the great features of this Extend-A-Truck is that we are able to adjust it up and down on these different mounting points to fit the different heights of your truck. If you have a roof rack on your truck, you can always lift this or even lower it to adjust to fit anything that might be sitting diagonal off of your bed. Here we have it just about even with our roof on our cab of our truck.



MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Maxxtow 27x47 Cargo Carrier and this cargo carrier comes with a 60 inch pivoting ramp that's going to be fairly solid almost completely made out of aluminum except for this steel plate here. It's going to come with your 2 inch shank, 500 pound weight capacity and your hitch pin and clip are included. It's going to be part number MT70275. We'll go ahead and put it on our Ram today and it does have a little bit of weight to it with that steel plate on the bottom, so just be aware of that if you are trying to strong hand it by yourself. Go ahead and put your shank into your receiver and line up your pin holes. Once you have your pin holes lined up, go ahead and slide in your hitch pin and your clip. With your hitch pin and clip inserted.



SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram, we're going to be doing a test fit of the 20x60 Sport Rack Vista. It's going to be a steel construction with a 500 pound weight capacity. It will come with your 2 inch shank for your 2 inch hitches and class 3 hitches only as well as it is a tilting and it does have the tilting feature for the stow away. It's going to be part number SR9851. Let's go ahead and get it fitted onto our dodge. Go ahead and insert our shank into our receiver and line up the pin holes. Once you have your pin holes lined up, insert your anti rattle bolt which will look like this.



Darby Extend A Truck Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup

Today on our 2007 Dodge Ram we're going to be doing a test fit of the Darby Extend-a-Truck. This is going to be a steel tube construction with a 2" shank for your 2" hitches. It's going to be part number DTA944. If you looked at it it's going to be adjustable, fully adjustable to where you need it, and it's going to come with two hitch pins and two clips so you can adjust it to wherever you want it. We'll go ahead and put it on our vehicle that we have here today. Go ahead and insert that shank into your receiver. The nice thing about this project is it's going to be handy for anybody that's a contractor or even your do-it-yourselfers.
