Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey well be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Over the Top Trunk-Mounted Two Bike Carrier for vehicles and spoilers, part number HRF2. Well begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles rear bumper. The bottom portion of the bike rack should rest on the upper tier of the rear bumper. We can then use the middle set of black levers to adjust to fit the middle of the arms which will rest on the vehicles rear window. When you position the arm on the rear window you want to leave enough space between the rear window and the bike rack so that the cradle arms can swing out without coming in contact with the window.Once youve established this position you can lock down the black plastic levers. If need be you can use the top set of black levers to adjust to fit the overhanging part of the bike rack whereas the top two straps will help connect to the rear hatch. With this done you can then lock them in place. Well then take the top two straps to go over the top portion of the rear hatch. Well then take the side straps to go on the side of the rear hatch down here on the corner and the bottom two straps to go on the bottom portion of the hatch.Well then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle.

Hollywood Racks Expedition Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition Trunk Mounted 2-Bike Rack, part number HRF6-2. We'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up on the vehicle's rear bumper. The bottom pads of the bike rack should rest on the upper tier of the bumper. We can then use the top two black levers to adjust the fit of the top of the bike rack up on the rear window of the vehicle. When figuring out this position, you're going to want to leave enough space so the cradle arms can swing out to a level or slightly angle the position. If you have the bike rack up too close to the vehicle's rear hatch this will prevent you from bringing the cradle arms out. We can then snap the black plastic levers in place, securing our bike rack and position.
