Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
It was super easy to install...maybe 10 minutes! Especially good for our 2018 Subaru Outback that has the smaller style hitch. Love it!
This is a great rack. I wanted a 4 bike rack that was easy and quick complicated to load but was also not bulky like the platform racks. My kids bikes are a little awkward because their too small to mount them as you would adult bikes by hanging them on the cross tube, but I make it work and they are very secure with the straps. I also can’t use extenders because the bikes are even too small for those. The bikes are stable and steady and the Swamy prevention bars do a great job. This is less expensive and more streamlined than other 4 bike racks and I am very happy with my purchase. It’s been on my car for over a year straight and the only rust I see staring is on the wire for the pins.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This bike rack is sturdy and pretty easy to use, once you get accustomed to it. I had trouble initially with removing the spacer from the arm that goes into the trailer hitch. I mangled an Allen wrench and injured my hand trying to take off the Allen bolt that holds the spacer on. I had to take the whole rack to a bike shop to get them to remove the spacer, which they did in a matter of seconds. Once that was done, getting the rack loaded onto the trailer hitch was pretty simple. I had to make a lot of adjustments with the set screws (the instructions did not include inserting the washers for those screws, and the rack is really wobbly without the washers) but once I figured out how everything is supposed to go together, the rack worked beautifully. I love being able to open and close the hatch on my CRV while the rack is attached to the car. Awesome feature. And the bikes were quite stable on our initial trek with them. One thing I would suggest is buying locks for the ratcheting hooks that go over the top bars on the bikes. I think those locks should just be included with the rack. They are not essential for using the rack, but they make the journey a lot more secure. I would highly recommend this rack to people but if you are a single woman trying to put this together without a decent set of Allen wrenches, I strongly suggest adding a set to your toolbox. The one that is included in the kit works great on the set screws, but if you have to remove the spacer bar you are on your own.
This is a great rack. Received quickly from eTrailer and already took on a 400 mile journey on the back of my suburban, including some off-road. Rack held up perfectly without incident. Nothing to complain about. I did put some pipe insulation on the clamps as they seem a little hard and would probably leave some marring on the frame of your bike so I figured I would rather be safe than sorry. Other than that couldn't ask for anything more. eTrailer processed and shipped my order super fast. Couldn't be happier with their service. All in all, this is a great rack at a great price!

Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
It took a little while to get the arms where they needed to be and straps for the first time to make sure it was secure. But now that we have it set we just put it on tighten the straps and off we go! It's amazing and sturdy a little pricey but it's worth the money, I don't feel like our 2 bikes will fall off. I love It! Just make sure u get a bar adjuster for women's bikes or kids. Etrailer is the way to go, free shipping and it was here in 3 days!

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
We've used this bike rack with our '14 Sienna for over a year now and it works wonderfully. I especially appreciate the way the rack folds against the back of the van when not in use. After many hours of research before making this purchase, I could not be more happy with this rack.

Erik - 04/28/2022If you've done any research or read any of the other comments on either this rack, or this seller...rest assured they really are as good as everyone says! I ordered my rack on around 4pm est on a Friday afternoon and within an hour I received an email that said they have shipped my product AND upgraded to priority shipping. Can't say enough positive things about the customer service! When the rack arrived, it took me a little over half an hour to get it set up. Probably would e been faster if I were even slightly mechanically inclined (or if didn't I didn't have to borrow a socket wrench from my neighbor). We finally had an opportunity to load up the bikes and head out for a ride today. As others have said, the first time you load up your bikes, it's kind of like a puzzle to get them situated. Took about 15 minutes. This rack is awesome! Very sturdy and the bikes were very secure. Only racks I have had in the past were rooftop fork mount racks. This is so much easier! On e we got to the trail (over an hour drive) getting the bikes off was a piece of cake. Afterwards, it was time to load them back up and it was less than 5 minutes to get them all on and ready to hit the road. There were other 4-bike racks on the website, but this one had enough great reviews that I felt comfortable making the purchase. After the fact, I'm very glad I did! I can't imagine the $800 rack can be that much better than this, and I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a 4-bike platform rack. I will definitely recommend this rack and etrailer.com to everyone I know.

Curt Premium 4 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Tilting
The bike rack is great. It was easy to put together, and it is very silent when driving around, with or without bikes on it. The fold-away feature is great for getting into the back of my car without taking the hitch off. Despite the moving parts it doesn’t rattle or shake. The rubber straps are nice to use, much easier than plastic straps or metal clamps. See the photo below of it installed on my 2016 Subaru Outback; license plate edited out. Highly recommended.
Took the bike rack off the pedestal and welded a receiver onto the pedestal. Then put a receiver cargo rack into the receiver. This setup is then mounted into the receiver hitch in the back of my 20 ft RV motor home. Worked great. My stuff in the cargo rack is off the road, I can still parallel park the RV in city parking spaces, backing up is a little easier because I don’t have to worry as much about the cargo rack hitting something. Anybody need an additional rack for the bikes.

Malone Hanger Trunk Bike Rack for 3 Bikes - Adjustable Arms
The Malone rack adjusts to fit my 2017 Trax really snugly and securely. Once we learned how to configure the bikes for best fit, everything traveled without movement. The only downside is that this system seems designed for narrow road bikes rather than the mountain and hybrid bikes we own. Although the anti-sway cradles are sufficiently wide for mountain tires, the close proximity of the individual bike setups sometimes cause a strap to pull loose during travel, so we keep the bikes cabled to the rack frame. We are able to make it work. For narrower bikes, I would recommend this rack without reservation.
I was really surprised how sturdy this bike rack is! On my first test run on my Toyota RAV4 I had two bikes on it and they didn't even wiggle a bit! Great product! Also, I've included pics on how to load women's/girl's bikes. I loaded them on backwards and used the "anti-sway" bar to go around the front tire and it worked like a dream!! I highly recommend!

Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Tilting
The rack is sturdy for 3-5 bikes and only for 3-5 uses. The purpose of the screwed in pin (pic attached) is to eliminate rack swing but it got stripped after few bumps on the road and caused the rack to swing front and back. There’s no way I can avoid bumps on the road unless you drive 10 mph on highway. There’s no way a tiny pin can hold 5 bikes weights load including the rack! I’m not the only one that has this issue so this must be a flaw on the rack. So I called Curt manufacturer because it’s still under only ONE year warranty. They did send me a new shank but If your bike rack swings after 3-5 uses, will you use it? I won’t. You might get away to fix the swing by getting a U clamp but …
About product: comes as advertised and truly holds 5 bikes. solid quality. has a threaded pin when attaching to the hitch and an extra pin by the joint to reduce wobbling. there's still a bit of swaying, but performed very well on the road. the only disappointment is that no locking mechanism was included to secure the bike rack (minus 1 star). there are 2 points where the rack has to be secured to avoid potential theft. at hitch and at the joint. you'd need a threaded locking pin and a normal locking pin, which gets pricey. i used 2 luggage locks that fit through the pin holes instead. About service: etrailer delivered this fast and without hiccups. great follow-up service to ensure that i am all set.

Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Black
I can tell it’s a quality bike rack... the instructions were fairly clear but the [online video] made it a breeze. I have yet to drive with it on, but I can tell already it’s secure
I love it ! I just traveled 4600 miles with it and I couldnt be happier with the rack. It goes on and off my vehicle in less than 5 minutes and my bike was rock solid during every bump in the road. It pays to buy quality. I would like to up my rating to 5 stars.
Stephen - 02/26/2022This rack is great. The adjustable tilt feature is convenient. The price point is solid for the quality. The 4 star rating is simply because some of the plastic melted due to exhaust heat when the rack was in the bikeless up position. Küat warranty and customer service was great. They are replacing the hook. If you're thinking of this for a 2021 Forester, definitely get the Hi-lo adapter so that the hook doesn't sit in line with the exhaust.

Yakima RidgeBack 4 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
It’s relatively heavy but super easy to install and use. No rattles from hitch or bike areas. Red Yakima stickers on the vertical beam are low quality, not firmly attached, and I expect them to peal off. Otherwise, very happy with the rack.
I have the Yakima fullback trunk bike rack and it was really good for my Honda Civic. Now when I traded in the rhe civic for an MDX i need a hitch trailer and a new bike rack. Luckily I find both in etrailer and ordered them. I’ve been using them for a year now and so far it was good. I only use two bikes for this rack so far. I made a mistake because I didnt know there was a full version of this similar to my other trunk bike that comes with built-in security cable. Next time i have to do more research. But dont get me wrong. This is a good tilt bike rack too. Check out the yakima swing arm also.
I’ve been using it more and most of the time it is installed on my SUV. Also, I bought a locking cable accessory also from Yakima to lock my bikes. So far the bike rack is working good and I have spray some WD40 lubricant to the hinges as a maintenance and keep it on top shape.

Hollywood Racks Baja 3 Bike Carrier - Fixed Arms - Trunk Mount
It fits my car pretty well- I have a Dodge Journey. It does not fit quite like the picture shows, but it will work!
Pontiac G6This rack is quite sturdy. I use it on my Pontiac G6, and it works well, but the supports that go to the bumper are a bit too long; it is near impossible to get the bicycle supports level and be able to use all three of the bike slots. However, I never need to carry more than two bicycles, so I just forgo the use of the slot closest to the car. My only other complaint is that the hooks that go to the bottom of the trunk are making marks on my car's paint. I would recommend having some foam or other padding to place between the trunk surface and the hooks. The rack is very solid and super easy to take on and off the vehicle.

One great feature of this bike rack is that you have the ability to remove the arms. You can do this by sliding over the black tab on the backside of the upper part of the mast and simply pull the arm out.

Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we will be test fitting the Saris Freedom, a platform style 4-bike rack for 2-inch hitches, part #SA4414B. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of our bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tighten it with a wrench, then secure it with a clip. With our bike rack in this position we have about 11 3/4 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of the Journey is about 8 1/2 inches and overall we have added about 18 1/2 inches to the length of the car. With our rack in this position, you can see we do have full access to our rear hatch. By pulling the gray lever, we can unfold our rack into the loading position. With our bike in this position, we do have about 20 inches of ground clearance, the closest point to the back our Journey is now about 11 1/2 inches and overall we've added about 41 inches to the length of the vehicle. We will now pull the yellow handles at the base of each mast to raise them into their upright position.

Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 4 1/2 inches away, and we've added about 16 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. We can now lift up on the orange lever at the base of the bike rack and tilt the platform down.

With the Yakima RoundBar Roof Rack System already installed, we'll start by placing our bike rack on the roof rack. Bring the clamp around the bar. Remove the skewer from the top of the clamp. Slide the cover over the clamp, securing the T-bolt. After that, you will re-insert the skewer.
Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2014 Dodge Journey
Today on our 2014 Dodge Journey, we'll be test-fitting the Thule Helium Aero hitch-mounted two bike rack, part number TH9042. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll allow the integrated hitch pin to fall into place and we'll then turn the black knob to engage the anti-rattle device. With the bike rack secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. The shank of the bike rack, we have about 12 1/2 inches of ground clearance. Going further out on the shank, here at the angle- up piece of the mast, we have about 16 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 9 inches away and we've added about 18 1/2 inches to the overall length of our Dodge. Now I'll go ahead and lift up on the gray lever at the top of the mast, which will allow us to swing the cradle arms out. With the arms out we've added about 29 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.

We love the bike rack! My daughters and I have been on a lot of biking adventures since we purchased that rack and we found the rack easy to use, convenient, and very reliable. This week we are moving to Albania so we took the bikes to my dad’s house in Texas to store for the year.
