Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
We were very happy with our Thule roof rack. The low profile design works well and does not have too much wind noise compared to others I’ve had. It’s held up very well also through the seasons.
Love my new Thule canyon xt roof cargo basket!! Fits on my 2022 Toyota Prius Nightshade, it was easy to assemble!! Shipping was awesome came in quicker then I expected!!

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 39" Wide x 7-1/4" Tall - 150 lbs
I love the rack and the extended length is great on my Sequoia. I am disappointed with the finish on it as the connector plates are already showing signs of rust….. I like it enough that I’m going to repaint it with something more suited to our climate…
The rack and extension arrived in sturdy boxes, well packed and no damage in shipping. The parts fit together easily. The welds left something to be desired, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. As a precaution against corrosion,I got some plasti-dip, which is a rubberized vinyl sealant and sealed all the places where moisture could get into the various tubes of the rack. I was satisfied with the quality of the powder coating on all the parts. The mounting system to the roof rack is interesting and appears well-designed. The assembly and installation instructions are OK, but could have been written better. For example, there is an extra tightening knob for the U-bolts, but no description if it is there as a spare.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
Greetings, I am giving these items 3? Because I was offered alternative products that did not fit together. Originally, I intended to purchase a roof rack cargo basket type and a spare tire holder from Yakima manufacturer that go well together, but one of them wasn’t in stock. So, after 3 weeks waiting time, I was offered alternative items via etrailer website, and I accepted them…after all, they are the experts. I got the recommended items through UPS, then I assembled them by myself. The roof rack cargo basket fit well on my car, but the spare tire holder was not compatible with the roof rack cargo basket. They couldn’t be assembled together. I submitted my claim to return the spare tire holder. Now, I have not achieved my goal to carry my spare tire. Understanding the needs and expectations of your customers is critical to maximize customer satisfaction. I am sure both products are good, but they are not compatible together, even though they were manufactured by the same company. Distributors should know better! I returned one item and I hope to be refunded.
Great product. Easily puts together and I was able to install on our 2016 Toyota Highlander OEM roof rails with no problems. The mounting brackets slide to make for a easy fit. Have taken it on two long road trips with zero issues last summer one to the montains and one to the beach. Was able to fit our jogging stroller on in the basket. Had some heavy rain on one trip and seen no signs of water getting into the rails as that was a concern of mine when researching the different racks. The high sides allowed for easy tie downs for the weather bag we put the stroller in. Seemed to add a little road noise with nothing in it but that is to be expected when hauling things on the roof but the wind deflector seemed to keep the noise down. Easy to put on and off with a single person able to lift it. Great product, great fit for the car. Plan on using it for some more upcoming trips.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
I am very pleased with the quality for the price.Just the right size for my 2017 Chevy Trax.the "U" bolts that are used to clamp the basket to the roof cross bars were a bit long so I cut them shorter & installed rubber caps on top of each stud. This keeps the studs from damaging items in the bssket.See pictures.
The reason I bought this basket is due to gas prices. I have a 4X4 suburban I use for camping and hunting but it takes a small loan to fill up the tank. Actually this basket cost less than it does to fill it up. So my thought was if i can get all my gear on my daily driver then i could save some money and maybe even sale the burb. So i gave it a shot last weekend. The rack was easy to put together. I had it out of the box and on the roof in under 30 minutes. As you can see in the pic, i have a rather large ice chest, chain saw, 6 man tent, gas stove and my chair on the roof. My camping destination was about 3 hours away. First was a hour of highway driving at speeds around 70. No issues there. Then 2 hours of windy back roads. No issues there either. The basket made it possible for me and my two kids to load up in the car and head to the hills for three days. The plus for me was it only takes 50$ to fill up the car. :-) I had the max weight in this basket with no issues. I'm very happy with this basket.

I’ve got several 1400+ mile trips with this on both a 2017 4Runner and a 2023 Kia Sportage. The basket is well made, easy to install, very solid and so far rust free.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 57" Long x 42" Wide - 165 lbs
Great product. Great quality. Instructions not real clear, so took me a couple of hours to assemble. Then another 15-20 minutes to secure to roof racks. I was working alone, extra hands would have helped. But extremely happy with quality and looks of product. We have lots of family that visit us, so I plan to carry luggage on the rack to free up space inside the vehicle on trips to and from the airport.
Love it! It's big enough to fit a bike carrier and a cargo bag on top of my MINI. Easy to assemble and install, solid construction. Great value for your money. If I have a gripe it's that the wind fairing on the front is VERY thin/fragile. I caught it with my bike tire when loading one day and the corner snapped right off like nothing. It's only about $XXX for the replacement.

Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 74" Long x 48" Wide
Roof rack arrived dented and scratched which complicated the installation because I had to hammer out dents to get the pipes to fit. Apart from that, the paint/coating scratches off fairly easily and the installation design is pretty awful. Instead of threading the pipe to accept screws they have this complicated plastic gasket mechanism which takes forever to align. I expected more from Yakima and for the price. Quick delivery from etrailer and good fit overall-- just need to wait and see about rust.
Initial quality was excellent and assembly a snap. Finding a roof basket that wouldn't look like a tiny hat on a Jeep Commander was difficult, but the MegaWarrior is perfect! Assembly and mounting took less than an hour and it looks great. Now it just needs to be outfitted with a set of off-road lights. ;-)

The Rhino-Rack pioneer platform is great for solving the problem of not enough space in your vehicle or you wanna make more space inside your vehicle by letting up your luggage, your sporting goods equipment, or your camping gear. This cargo carrier is nice and flat with plenty of tie-down portions and plenty of space to load your gear as well. There's a wide variety of features that you can utilize and put on the T-track systems up on the top, anything from eyelet tie-downs to shovel holders as well. You can find these all on etrailer.com.As far as the carrying capacity is concerned, what they recommend is you go by the manufacturer's weight recommendations for your roof and load it from there. And as you can see, there's plenty of space between our hatch and the pioneer platform, so that's not gonna be an issue either.Now that we've gone over some of the features of the pioneer platform, let's go ahead and show you how it installs.
Thule Roof Basket Review - 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan
Speaker 1: Today in our 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to bet test fitting the Thule Canyon XT roof cargo basket, part number TH859ST. Thule Canyon XT is great for those situations where inside your Grand Caravan you either need more space, don't have enough space, where you can carry your luggage, your gear, your sporting goods, your camping equipment, anything on the roof of your vehicle and frees up a little space inside your vehicle.Now like most things that you can put on your roof, they're gonna get noisy. Now this does help to cut down the noise with the included frame that comes pre installed on our actual roof basket. Right now we have attached aero bars but this will also work with square, round, elliptical and most factory roof racks as well. You can see at the end here there's a plastic lock. That can be replaced with a Thule lock core which is sold separately, so you can secure this to your roof rack system but you can also purchase several of these and make a key to like with your roof rack system as well.It provides several tie down points on the side here as well as below to help keep your gear secure and not moving.

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be test fitting the Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number C18115. The Curt Cargo Basket is great for solving those problems such as not enough space inside our Grand Caravan, or we need to make more space in our Grand Caravan by loading up our luggage, sporting goods, or camping gear up on the roof.There's plenty of space for storage with the cargo basket being 41 1/2 inches long by 37 inches wide and by 4 inches tall. That four inches is consistent all the way around the cargo basket unlike some others which can have that kind of curve to it so you lose a little bit towards the rear. This can carry up to 150 pounds of cargo, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights and go by its recommendation. Also, traveling with these cargo baskets or pretty much anything on your roof, you're going to encounter a lot of noise while you drive. But the Curt basket here does come included with this fairing up at the front which is going to help quiet down some of that while you drive.Looking how we secured this to our roof basket, there are plenty of spots both along the side and beneath to tie down your gear.
Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan

Now this basket mounts to the roof rack of your vehicle. It's gonna allow you to haul any cargo that doesn't fit inside your vehicle up on top of your roof. As an open basket design, meaning that you'd want to be careful of what you put up there, because they're going to be exposed to the elements, so anything that's sensitive to heat, cold, or water, you probably want to try to keep that inside your vehicle. We have a fairing on the front of our basket.
Stallion Roof Basket Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be test fitting the Stallion Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number 288-09200. This basket measures 44 inches long by 39 inches wide by 7 inches deep. It has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual, to make sure that it can withstand those weights on the top, as well as your roof rack itself. We have most of it installed already, but we'll show the last U-bolt going into place. It's gonna be back here at the passenger side rear. Set anything off to the side here, first.

We've already got it loaded up on the Grand Caravan, as you can see. This is going to be great for getting your gear out of your van and up on the roof of your vehicle, so you can carry more passengers and pets. Like always, when loading things up on the roof of your vehicle, you want to be sure that you've got enough room to open up your rear hatch. You can see where we've got the basket positioned on our factory roof rack system, we're not going to have that problem. A few features to know about this basket, it's going to add a stylish look to your van.
Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan
Today on our 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're gonna be testing the Rhino Rack roof-mounted cargo basket, part number RMCB. This measures 47 inches long by 35 inches wide by five and a half inches tall, and has a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure that your roof can withstand that weight. It does have an aerodynamic shape to it, plus it has a fairing installed on the front, which is gonna cut down on the wind noise and drag while you're driving, and this will work with, as you see here, factory cross bars, as well as square, round, elliptical, and aero. It's very easy to install, and we'll show you how the last bracket goes on. We're gonna come here to the back corner of the driver's side, where we already have our plastic piece installed between the cargo basket itself and the crossbars. We also have our metal piece installed in the top here, and it just pushes into place like so. We'll put our bolts through, and these are Allen-head bolts, like so, and then we'll take our bottom bracket, line it up, and start tightening our bolts down. Some things that this can actually be used for are anything from sporting goods equipment to camping equipment, anything wet you want to keep out of your vehicle, or just anything you want to keep out of your vehicle to make more space for you and your family as you travel. Try not to lose the tightening tool as you're tightening it.
Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan
Today on our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan we're doing a test fit of the Yakima LoadWarrior roof-mounted cargo basket with extension kit. That part number is Y07070-74. Now this basket is going to have a 196 pound weight capacity, though you do want to check your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure it can withstand that much weight. The basket is also going to be 62" long by 39" wide by 6-1/2" tall. We already have three of our four mounts secured down. We're going to show you how we do our back passenger side one here.
