24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I ordered this cargo carrier for my 2012 Chevy Traverse (along with the hitch receiver and cargo bag) for my recently completed family vacation. I wanted to wait until I got back before I wrote a review so I could give accurate info on the products. First of all, my items were received within 3 days of placing my order so I was already off to a good start! Assembly/installation took about an hour and the items came with detailed, clear instructions and all necessary hardware. I stored all of our camping gear (8-man tent, queen size air mattress, double sleeping bag, 3 self-inflating single air mats, 3 regular sleeping bags, 5 camp pillows, and a large plastic tub containing a camp stove, cookware, etc.) in the cargo bag and loaded it onto the carrier. It all fit nicely and there was a bit of room to spare. It was also below the tail lights of my vehicle so I didn't need additional lights for the carrier itself. (I did remove my license plate and used the bracket to attach it to the carrier...you'll need your own nuts/bolts for this.) There are canvas straps supplied with the bag, however, I just used 3 ratchet tie-downs that I already had and it worked fine. I also ordered the anti-rattle locking hitch pin which was $20 well-spent...I didn't have to worry about anyone stealing my carrier and it there was virtually no noise from bumps in the road. I chose to go with this carrier rather than a roof-mounted carrier for two reasons. 1) I think it was MUCH easier to get stuff in and out of without needing to stand on something or constantly reaching over your head. 2) The effect on my overall gas mileage was negligible as compared to something on top of the vehicle encountering all that wind resistance. I put 6200 miles on my vehicle over the span of a 4-week roadtrip from Ohio to California and all of these products performed exceptionally. No problems whatsoever and no worries. Purchase with confidence!
I loved this product! We put it on the back of our Traverse and took it for a 10 hour trip. It worked so well and was exactly what we needed. We packed the luggage of two different families on the trailer and had space in the actual vehicle. I would definitely recommend this product. I also purchased the anti-rattle trailer hitch receiver lock, and the etrailer cargo bag to go along with this product.

20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
Very much appreciated the quick delivery of my order - thank you! My husband assembled the carrier and it seems like a good sturdy product. Unfortunately, a severe illness in the family forced us to cancel our vacation and we have not had an opportunity to use the hitch & carrier yet.
This was the first time I have ever order something from e-trailer. They did a great job. I would order from them again. I purchase a folding cargo carrier, anti-rattle device and lock and a Highland cargo carrier bag. The folding carrier works great on my 2010 Traverse. I will say that on the Traverse if you have the carrier in the upright position you will want to turn off your back up assist other wise it will go off every time you put the vehicle in reverse. The cargo bag did a good job protected my bags from a heavy rain storm. Overall a great purchase.

22x59 Rola Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 600 lbs
Bought this rack for my 2013 Traverse. The outside of the carrier fit within the width of the vehicle, so there was no overhang. The light kit installed easily. Carrier does wobble around a bit when it is unloaded, but wasn't noticeable once it was loaded. I only used the standard pin to secure the carrier. Liked the open bars around the carrier. Made it easier to install and to secure the cargo. My only comment (not a complaint) is that the carrier would be designed to more readily install the light kit. A small notch in the back plate would allow you to run the wiring along the main support tube. There was a slight gap on mine, so I could still run the wiring there but I'm guessing that wasn't intentional.
Received the Rola Cargo Carrier and couldn’t be happier with it. Very solid construction, has lots of tie down spots, and can add trailer lights if I want to. I’m good with the reflectors for now, but may add the lights later. Definitely recommend this if you need extra room for carrying items. Trailer is first class! Excellent customer service and very helpful people. Free shipping was a minor plus. I would buy again if I didn’t already have one :).

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
Very easy to assemble but it did not fit in the upright position on my 2011 Chevy Traverse. The license plate is in the bumper and the sides of the carrier impact the bumper on either side of the license plate when folded upright. The sides of the license plate are molded plastic that protrude from the bumper to house the lights for the plate. The simple fix was to bend the sides in a bit. That solution was better than trying to figure out how to extend the carrier further from the bumper to allow for another inch of clearance. The bend was easy using vice grips as the sides are aluminum. For the price and the 2X/year that I'll use this for beach chairs or extra luggage it's fine despite the fact it was not a perfect fit. What I like best is that it folds up and that it is very lightweight. It would be easy to stow on the roof rack if parking is tight or just to get it out of the way when accessing the trunk. And it'll come in handy if I ever have to haul the mower or blower to the shop since it's low ground clearance makes for easy loading and will keep my vehicle's interior from getting dirty. It would be nice if it came with a license plate holder that could be used in both flat and upright positions. I'll drill holes in the sides to mount the plate. A notice should be included to ensure that the license plate is not blocked from view when in use. We are driving to FL again this year and our concern is that Barney Fife will hassle us for an obstructed view of the plate. Last year we used a turtle top carrier but it is so high up on an SUV its impractical for quick trips to the beach. This carrier will be great for the cooler and sandy beach chairs and stuff. I'm thinking a large mesh utility bag to help keep all the stuff contained and make securing the load easier would be a nice extra. Last, it shipped on time and the order was complete with an additional item , a hitch lock, that all arrived in perfect condition. You need a lock for this b/c it is so light it'd probably be gone if you left it unlocked in a parking lot. Ordering was very easy! Thanks E-Trailer
The carrier worked great. I purchased a large nylon cargo bag that not only kept stuff clean and dry it gave added peace of mind to ensure my stuff stayed put. I found a license plate holder that I attached to the bottom so when folded up I could move my plate from the rear side of the tray to the bottom mount quickly by using wing nuts. I looped two ratchet tie down straps around the base of each rear door shock and then hooked them to the the outside corners of the tray to keep it from sagging and wobbling. The straps also gave peace of mind when hitting bumps in the road that would otherwise make me cringe thinking it would reduce the stress on the unit overall. I recommend padding if you are using a cargo bag to prevent the metal from wearing on the bag. The downside of not using the turtle roof cargo carrier is that having stuff easily accessible from the ground means you have to be more vigilant about security when stopping to eat. We did not not over night anywhere but had we I probably would have taken all my stuff off the tray and into the room which is something you might not have to do with a lockable rooftop carrier. But for day trips to the beach you cant beat the value bc it is close to the ground and keeps all the sandydirty stuff outside and or off your roof rack.
C18100 carrier seems well made and easy to put together. Fits my 2020 Traverse perfectly, was worried about garage fit which worked perfectly and its light weight is great for easy install and removal.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
I ordered this on a Monday and it was shipped (free shipping) from MO to MA and I had it on my door step by Friday ! It was Very easy to attach to our vehicle (2018 Chevy Traverse) , my husband was able to do it by himself. We used it the next day to go to the beach and it worked out wonderful! It will fold up to get out of way when unloaded. Will also tilt down with the load on so we can open back hatch. This is perfect for us and the price was very reasonable!
Excellent product. Carried two coolers and two large plastic totes with room to spare. Plenty of tiedown options. etrailer videos are a big help with assembly.

MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair Carrier w/ 60" Long Ramp - 2" Hitches - Folding - Steel - 500 lbs
I got my carrier in rapid time. I took it out of the box, and went through the instructions for assembly. It went together with very little effert . What I like about this unit is it is made light enough to handle, yet heavy enough to do the job. I recommend that after you get it assembled that you get a little help in installing it into your hitch receiver. I did it alone and took me a little more effert then I wanted but being a rather large man I did ok. The ramp works great, it allows me to load and carry my 26 inch snow blower from my house to my other jobs I have down town without having to hook my trailer up to the truck. It is wide enough and long enough to fit this blower, which is a 2 stage, and to heavy for me to lift. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to be able to haul an item that is to heavy to lift into the back of your truck, yet you don't need a full blown trailer, especially in the winter time. Easy to put together, and to use, plus when you are done it folds up right next to your vehicle, which lets allows you the plus of not having to take it off when not in use.
Still doing the job, used it this mornig to haul my snow blower to the store fronts that I clean snow away from. One of the most successful investment I have ever made
I am 73 years old on a wheelchair and my sister who is 63 is my caregiver. WE live in Hawaii and go and have a lot of outings with the family. We are are very happy with the wheelchair carrier as it makes it so much easier for my sister when we leave from home and when we return. I only wish we had found it earlier. I highly a100% recommend all family members and caregivers who transport wheelchair patients to purchase one of the carriers. It will save on your back and can be used for so much more. Thank you A 100 TIMES AND MORE ETRAILER for being there for us.

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box - 14 cu ft - Black
The RocketBox Pro14 cargo box was a great acquisition. It worked perfectly with my factory rooftop rack on my 2004 Toyota 4Runner. It remained firmly in place for a 1,000 mile plus trip to Florida and on our return. I could not be more satisfied as the box handled a fair amount of cargo freeing up space for two passengers and a dog. Will be loading up again this year for another trip to Florida. The box is easy to load and fasten and is most secure when in place.
Worth every penny. Used the cargo box atop my 2004 4Runner with factory carrier racks for two trips to Florida and back to MD. NO issues. All contents remained dry and safe, that’s over 4,000 miles of travel.
I've taken one 1500 mile trip so far with the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 mounted on my RAV4. I found the box to be quiet and not to have much impact on gas mileage. I lost maybe 1 mpg with it mounted to my flush mounted Whisperbars. I drove through some very heavy rain and had a minimal amount of water inside under a thin rubber mat I had placed on the bottom of the box; none on my luggage got wet. This box works great to give me more carrying capacity when traveling with my two crated Dobermans.
Ive taken the cargo box on a couple more trips and its worked great. I really like that it can be opened from both sides. That feature comes in handy when someone parks too close to you on one side. You have the option to unload your gear from the other side.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
Greetings, I am giving these items 3? Because I was offered alternative products that did not fit together. Originally, I intended to purchase a roof rack cargo basket type and a spare tire holder from Yakima manufacturer that go well together, but one of them wasn’t in stock. So, after 3 weeks waiting time, I was offered alternative items via etrailer website, and I accepted them…after all, they are the experts. I got the recommended items through UPS, then I assembled them by myself. The roof rack cargo basket fit well on my car, but the spare tire holder was not compatible with the roof rack cargo basket. They couldn’t be assembled together. I submitted my claim to return the spare tire holder. Now, I have not achieved my goal to carry my spare tire. Understanding the needs and expectations of your customers is critical to maximize customer satisfaction. I am sure both products are good, but they are not compatible together, even though they were manufactured by the same company. Distributors should know better! I returned one item and I hope to be refunded.
It was a breeze to install on my 2018 Ford Explorer. Two reasons why I bought this. #1 the price for the size of the rack #2 The ability to adjust the universal mounting brackets from front to back or length wise. I had tried another brand rack but the mounting brackets were from side to side and did not line up with my fixed cross bars. I used silicone to seal all the connection points. I have not seen any rust as of yet. I like it so much that I might sell this one locally and upgrade to next size up.I've had compliments on the appearance also. with the plus up sized tires and the rack. It has given the Explorer a sportier look. I definitely would recommend this rack to anyone.

Yakima SkyBox 21 Rooftop Cargo Box - 21 cu ft - Black Carbonite
It took awhile to get the skybox in stock but etrailer stayed on top of it and kept me informed every step of the way. I know supply chains are delayed everywhere but they never gave up. Special shout out to Erica at etrailer.

Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box - 22 cu ft - Black AeroSkin
We call this our rooftop sarcophagus because it’s King Tut sized! For storage reference, other than an ancient entombment, it held two inflatable K2 two person kayaks, four life jackets, four paddles, a folding wagon, four camp chairs, a slim profile ladder (to easily access the carrier on top of van), three pumps, and a few soft items to secure the load. It’s like having a full second vehicle atop yours… installation was relatively easy once your crossbars are in position. Overall we would recommend for anyone with a family who camps, bikes, boats, travels, etc and expect it will last a lifetime. We do remove it from the vehicle for winter or whenever not in regular use to preserve it and also since it adds considerable height so be sure to measure your full vehicle height once it’s on so you don’t drive into a parking garage or other area that’s too short.
Used the Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box for 6 trips of about 4 hours each. Worked very well. Although it seems to be a bit flimsy when you handle it, when it is latched to the rooftop, it is solid.

Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
We were very happy with our Thule roof rack. The low profile design works well and does not have too much wind noise compared to others I’ve had. It’s held up very well also through the seasons.
Still in great shape. No rust. No rattles. Great cargo rack
The Canyon XT installed with ease & also provides multiple mounting brackets for attaching to crossbars. It will definitely give us more interior room or additional cargo capacity! I highly suggest reading the directions a few times before you start & during assembly. Some parts are in the same bag for a step while other steps need parts from different bags. Depending on your vehicle, all parts may not be used. So make sure the parts you have left over are the right ones!

Yakima SkyBox 16 Roof Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black Carbonite
This box was perfect! Added an enormous amount of additional storage capacity for our Rav4. I was able to fit one large "checked-bag", a "carry-on", a pack-n-play, small storage bin, bungee cords + some kids toys all on the roof! Standard Toyota cross-bars. Installation was super simple; the box closes very securely and stays quite snug to the installed position. It was a bit unnerving at first carrying so much on the roof (i've seen the horror stories of boxes opening/flying off at 80MPH) but this box held up perfect! We averaged about 75-80MPH over 3000 miles of driving with maybe 100lbs of load in the box. Fuel economy dropped by a few mpg (36 -> 33) but overall this was a great purchase. etrailer was a fantastic retailer as well! Delivery estimates were right on schedule, and delivery was relatively straight-forward.
Just what the doctor ordered. The unit came by UPS freight and was delivered to the curb outside my house. My friend and I unboxed and installed the unit on the roof of my SUV in about 20 minutes. The unit is a bit flimsy, but once it is mounted, it is sturdy. Driving around town, the wind noise is minimal and there is very little drag. This unit will be used to carry the larger objects that won't fit into the rear of the SUV. Overall I am pleased with the build quality and the ease of installation.
Great, The cargo box is holding up well and has traveled almost 11,000 miles

23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 450 lbs
I purchased this for a 800-mile round trip vacation to Mammoth Lakes. It greatly extended the amount of luggage and gear we could bring with us, as we head 4 adults and a dog in the car. I could hardly tell the cargo carrier was back there while driving, and it didn't impact my gas mileage at all. I assembled and installed this myself, and it was super easy (although would be easier with a second set of hands.) I also purchased a stretchy net cargo cover, which allowed us to pack above the the actual height of the carrier itself. I attached my license plate to the cargo carrier work zip ties, although I will need to get a bracket with lights for the future of doing nighttime driving. I have no regrets on this purchase and highly recommend!
Have used this on many trips now with zero issues! Just purchased a Yakima Backswing hitch and the cargo carrier works great with it!
After purchasing a 2018 Honda CR-V Touring, my honey-to-do-task of having to bring trash to the dump every week must be done. I am not a big fan of placing trash inside my new car, despite having a rubber liner. So I purchased the Curt 2 inch receiver hitch and had it installed by my local mechanic. I did not want to have to hook up my small utility trailer to go to the dump since I have to go to work and park in a parking garage after making my trash drop off. I came across this Carpod M2205 walled carrier. I am thrilled with this and like the way it folds up when not in use. There was a simple assembly process to go through after it was received (quick shipping by the way). It is a little heavy placing into the hitch receiver, but note it is easier to place it into the hitch when folded up. I wrapped a piece of duct tape around the exact place of the insertion bar to line up the holes of the hitch pin. Its carrying capacity is well within what I need, and I am quite impressed. There is not much movement of the carrier while driving except for big bumps or potholes. This is an excellent alternative to carrying household garbage inside my new car. The walls are held in place with metal pins and a strap, that is a little short and could be a little bit longer. That would be my only complaint about using this car carrier. Otherwise, I highly recommend this for anyone who needs to carry items outside or to need more space.
Still doing great and loving this product.

23x59 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
In addition to carrier, trailer hitch receiver (part #75528) was ordered. Both items were promptly shipped and delivered. Straight-forward receiver installation for 2015 Chevy Traverse and carrier assembly was simple. Your website is thorough and accurate. Thank you for the quality product at a reasonable price.
A good size and very strong. I like the fact that it has a grated bottom, as opposed to a few bars like many of its competitors. There are many holes and notches present for any customization desired. Also makes for a great chair to relax. I also ordered the anti-rattle pin so as to fasten this tightly to the hitch. IMO that should be included with any of these trailer-hitch-Mount accessories.
Works great I use it mainly to carry sod

Keep it in mind too, we do get a lot of space in the Traverse, however, when we start getting a lot more people especially in those back rows, not a lot of room.

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Traverse
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, we're going to be test fitting the 24 x 60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" hitches, Part Number C18152. This has a carrying capacity of 500 pounds, it has this nice mesh floor here, which makes it easy to clean. We also have this railing all the way around the cargo carrier and that can serve as a tie down point for either you ratchet straps or your bungee cords. This is excellent for keeping sporting goods equipment, things that are wet, camping gear, anything outside of your vehicle to make more space for your family inside. It has a raised shank here, so for vehicles with a little bit lower clearance hitches, there's not going to be an issue between the space of your cargo carrier and the ground. I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple quick measurements now. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outer edge here, we've added about 31" to the rear of the vehicle.
