24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.
Purchased in March 2023. I really like the size, it holds a lot. The carrier is very sturdy, well made and assembled very easily. I purchased the light kit but found wiring could have been a little longer to dress the cables neatly down toward the hitch.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I've been using this Cargo Carrier on my 4 Runner Venture for about a year now. I Purchased this item to haul extra gear to Nags Head from Northwestern Virginia. Installation was a breeze and it's very, very sturdy. I had two Yeti coolers packed with ice and drinks and there was no wobbling at all. I'm a 197 pounds and I was standing on it after I installed it just to check for durability and this thing is a beast. I also used this as a rod holder while on the beach and I caught a 6 foot black tip shark. Overall, I'm very pleased with this item and I would recommend to a friend.
This is a substantial, well-made product at exactly the size I needed - smaller than many, and with sides that keep items secure. It was very easy to assemble, with all parts included and clearly sorted, and with all pieces manufactured to cleanly align. The item arrived promptly, packed to protect the shipment but without waste. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a high-quality cargo carrier.

20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
Installation: Easy Assembly: Easy Attached to: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13163 Use: Camping equipment. Cooler, Chairs, Sleeping bags, firewood, etc. Like: The fact that it folds is a huge positive. What I would change: perhaps adding a ring or two on the sides to allow for bungee cords or rope. Because the hitch is already a bit low on the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander (stock wheels, tires, suspension) the back part of the basket can bottom out rather easily. It has nothing to do with the carrier itself though. I would definitely recommend this product! I'm going to use it again in a month for our next camping trip.
This carrier was super easy to assemble. It is a bit heavy but I was able to mount it onto my hitch alone. I’m using an anti-rattle lock and they work great together.

24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
We just installed our carrier. We love that this is going to free up a lot of space for our vacation traveling. Very heavy duty and bigger than i was thinking it would be.The pin that holds the carrier in the hitch was not included. It would have been an added bonus if it was.
Easy to assemble, nice and solid cargo tray! Bought it with the hitch bracket. Note: no hitch pin included.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
Purchased this 1 year ago. Worked awesome for a 9.000 mile cross country trip with three off road adventures at geology tour road Joshua tree, west side road Death Valley, and kingman wash lake mead. No rattle, always secure, great clearance. Would purchase again.
It works, but I only put two electric bikes on it. The mesh seems to bend pretty easy.

23x59 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Carrier and box will be moved to hitch on 209 Solitude Rv to provide extra cargo carrying ability
A good size and very strong. I like the fact that it has a grated bottom, as opposed to a few bars like many of its competitors. There are many holes and notches present for any customization desired. Also makes for a great chair to relax. I also ordered the anti-rattle pin so as to fasten this tightly to the hitch. IMO that should be included with any of these trailer-hitch-Mount accessories.

20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This is great cargo basket: solid and secure, easy assembly, well designed. The angled neck keeps the basket well away from the ground; I haven’t had any problems with it bottoming out. My first use was actually on a trip back from Florida following Powered Paragliding training. I was intending to bring back just a Paramotor (which would have stood vertically inside the basket), but ended up bringing back a whole Trike assembly! Mounted it on the basket as shown, and it rode just fine back through four states. Got a lot of looks on the way home! I concur with an earlier reviewer that a neat trick is to use a stabilizer strap from the hitch to the corner of the basket. There is plenty of slop in the receiver when the neck is inserted, and a short ratcheting tie down cancels the rattle effectively. I’m very pleased with this purchase; and while I don’t plan to haul around anything as big as that trike, I look forward to many more years of use from it!
First look - not yet loaded up. Ordered this because the less expensive Curt (C18110) was out of stock. It seems like a worthwhile upgrade anyway, with rounded corners and better tie-down options. Finish seems high quality. Significant play exists in the hitch receiver (Curt C11276 - gap visible in photo) to the point that I ordered a hitch immobilizer and don't plan to test the carrier with a full load until that's installed.

19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This cargo carrier worked great. Used it to move a rototiller, 2 hour trip. No damage or deformation to the carrier despite the tiller being near the top of the weight limit. The hitch bolt held the carrier firmly in place. It doesn't come with the lights, I installed light kit Item # 52014. Just had to drill four small holes (I knew this light kit wasn't specifically designed for this carrier, just wanted something cheap). Works great on a Town Car, lots of ground clearance. I'm very happy with this product.
This cargo carrier is sturdy and works well on a Mazdaspeed 3. The rise and slight angle make it so clearance is not an issue. The carrier is very easy to put together. I did install the 8 bolts through the connecting plates in reverse of the instructions so cargo would not be scratched or torn. It adds so much cargo space for our growing family. The only drawbacks are a lack of license plate frame and reflectors which are easily added with very little cost. I used a Cruiser license mount plate with zip ties and Reese DOT approved reflectors. I don't plan to use the carrier at night but there are many license plate lights that can be added as well. I also purchased the Rola carrier bag for hauling luggage and other indoor items.

20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Great quality and serves its purpose. I wish I ordered the slightly bigger one to fit the bins and items I use it for. For example, a white standard igloo cooler doesn’t fit the way I need it to maximize loading capacity. I highly recommend a stabilizer to prevent wobble.
Very nice quality. Took one person and two wrench about 15 minutes to install the cargo carrier from box. It is very sturdy and the finish is very good. I really like the added height this specific carrier provides.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
Super disappointed in this etrailer purchase. The product came in a large box that was fully intact and not damaged. The actual cargo basket was meticulously wrapped and appeared to be brand new as expected. The other components however, like the arm, were in boxes that were smashed, old, worn, and had multiple layers of old tape. The arm itself was scratched and banged up, even rusty in spots. Clearly it was used or had been a returned item. If I wanted a dented, gouged, and rusty Cargo Carrier I would have purchased one used, for half the price. This is not the quality I expect from etrailer.. I have purchased many racks and other items from this company and usually the quality is outstanding. This time they dropped the ball. I have since read other reviews and it is apparent that this is not an isolated incident. I'd have sent it back if it wasn't so damn heavy and awkward to lug around.
This carrier worked out great. The tilt down feature is helpful to have but I didn't really need it. However, the fold up feature was helpful when driving around, so I recommend that as a convenience. The only thing I had trouble with was the hitch bolt. I have a Thule bike rack that I've used with my truck hitch receiver and never had a problem, but this rack's hitch bolt was a real pain to get in at first. Don't be dismayed. With the rack off of the vehicle, I used some WD-40 and some lithium grease on the bolt and then used an adjustable wrench to screw it in and out a number of times. I noticed a bunch of either paint or metal shards gumming up the threads on the bolt each time I removed it. After about 5 times of screwing it in and out, wiping off the bolt with a towel, adding some more grease once in a while, it got to the point that I could screw it in and out by hand pretty easily. Problem solved. I'm really happy with this rack. It fit two big coolers of food and beer plus beach umbrellas and other stuff. It's really strong and sturdy. The biggest issue was not the weight on the rack, but whether the rear suspension on the Highlander could hold it with our other junk in the back plus passengers. :-)

20x48 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
This is a sturdy carrier. Welds all seem good. Paint is just fine. Steel tubing is very strong. The weight is heavy but reasonable for one person to install and remove. I plan to remove it when not in use on our trip to avoid having to fold it up and lose ability to access the hatch on our van. It has a bit of play in both the receiver and on the folding hinge. I’m going to use construction shims taped in place to reduce the wiggle but even without those, it’s not bad. Even with a jumbo cooler, we can still see the plate. This will do the trick for vacation and camping gear without having to haul a massive 60” carrier. Love the size and build.
Product came in a single box in perfect shape. Great construction, easy to put together. I bought this to go on the front of my John Deere Gator 855D. Sometimes, there just isn't enough room to pack everything you need when going down the trail or you don't feel like slinging a Honda generator and a heavy cooler packed full of ice and your favorite beverages up in the back of the bed. This cargo carrier fit the bill perfectly. It took all of 5 minutes to put it together and slide into the front 2" receiver on my gator. With the fold up design, I have 22" of clearance between the ground and the bottom of the carrier when carrier is folded out horizontal. Being the carrier is 48" wide, it is narrower than the gator, so I don't have to worry about trying to squeeze through a tight space in the woods. If the gator will go through the space, so will the carrier rack. When I don't need the carrier, it is a snap to pull the pin, swing the carrier rack 90 degrees up and pop the pin back in. Even when folded into the upright position, you can easily see over the carrier rack. Thanks for making a great product.

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

This is a steel cargo basket with a 500-pound evenly distributed weight capacity, which means that you can carry a lot of things with this basket, expands your cargo space on your Equinox. Ideal for if you want to carry cargo that might be a little dirty, sandy or messy and you don't want it messing up the interior of your vehicle or if you wanna make it easier to lift up into the basket versus having to lift it into your hatch. This is actually a pretty good fit with the Equinox because it does have a little bit of a rise, and since you don't have much ground clearance with this vehicle, this is gonna help you out. Another thing that it's good for is if you have dirty cargo, like let's say you went out in the mud, you went through the stuff out here instead of taking it, put it in the back of your vehicle, or you come back from the beach, it all stays out here. The dirt and stuff will just fall off and it never goes inside. You don't have to clean up all your interior or smelly sports equipment's another good options to throw back here, that way that smell never gets in your car either. Now, even though it is aluminum, it's still heavy duty.

CURT Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the CURT steel folding cargo carrier, and we're gonna take a look at how it fits on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So a lot of people like the folding cargo carrier because since this carrier is made of steel people don't wanna take it off and on of their vehicle more often than they have to. So because it folds up, they can keep it on their car and they don't take up much space as if it was folded down. Now the downsides to this though is if you can see how it fits here on our Equinox, you can see that it takes up a good amount of width, but definitely the height. So if I wanted to open up our hatch here, I would not be able to.
Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be talking about how the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier with a 60-inch long ramp fits on the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So this cargo carrier is pretty unique because it is made of aluminum, so it is lightweight, but it still has a really long ramp. With how it works with the Equinox, some things to keep in mind is I like how low to the ground it sits making it easier for the incline to ramp things up into their carrier. The downside is you are gonna have to have a two-inch hitch receiver and make sure you have enough tongue weight for those heavier items. Also, you are gonna lose access to your hatch once something is loaded up onto that ramp. So with all that being known or being said, if you still think this is gonna be a good fit for you let's take a look at how it works.
Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're gonna take a look at how the Flint Hill Goods 60 by 22 Aluminum Cargo Carrier fits on the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So an aluminum cargo carrier is awesome if you need a little extra space, but you don't wanna put your cargo inside of your vehicle, you want it more accessible, and you want the cargo carrier to be lightweight to make it easier to install. That's where this one comes in handy. It's 60 by 22, meaning you have a lot of width, an okay amount of length for the carrier, and it is lightweight and corrosion resistant, you can leave it on your car and not have to worry about it. We're gonna focus on how it fits here on our Equinox. And the main thing for me with cargo carriers is how easy is it to install, how much space do I have for cargo, can I open up the hatch on our Equinox So in our case here, this sits straight out, and if you wanna open up your hatch, look at how much space it takes to lift that door up.
Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we're talking about how the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier, which is 20 by 47 inches large, fits on the 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. So this is gonna be a small, compact, sweet cargo carrier. If you have very limited space inside the garage or in your shed, but you still need extra space on your vehicle, then this might help out with that. It is made of aluminum, so it is gonna be lightweight, in fact, I measured the inside of your hatch, if you put the seats down, you might be able to fit this inside of your vehicle for transportation purposes. Now, with this on the Equinox, there are some things to keep in mind with how it fits on the car. One is gonna be, can you open up the hatch This does not tilt down.

It'll create more space on the inside if you're just loading up cargo and luggage, and if you want to keep the inside of your Equinox clean with all that muddy gear, it'll do a great job of that as well. Now what's really nice about this cargo carrier is that it's got a lot of space on the inside.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Chevrolet Equinox
Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be taking a look at the Curt 24 x 60 Cargo Carrier, part number C18152. This cargo carrier is going to be great whether we just need to free up some space in our vehicle for a few more passengers and pets, or if we just went camping and have some dirty, wet gear that we don't want to put inside. Our cargo carrier does feature some reflectors on the back, that way other drivers will know that we have a carrier, and we have gear behind us.Now the walls inside of our cargo carrier are going to come in just at under 6", and as you can see we're going to have plenty of points for tie downs, that way we can secure our gear. Now the floor is made of a steel mesh, so it's going to be that easy to clean, and also very durable. Now there's a few measurements I'd like to give you. Overall from the outside edge of our bumper, it's going to come out to be about 31-1/2" that we're going to be adding to the total length of our vehicle.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox
Today on this 2016 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be test fitting the 20x48 Curt Cargo Carrier, part number C18110. This cargo carrier has a 300-pound carrying capacity. If you look closer here, you have this nice mesh floor here which makes it easier to clean. Along the border of the carrier we have these tie-down points that you can use for either ratchet straps or bungee cords, whatever you use to tie down your gear. I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. The first is going to be how much distance is added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is actually installed. Go ahead and measure from the bumper since that's the furthest point out.
Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox
Today, on our 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, we're doing test fit on the Stromberg Carlson 23x60 cargo carrier. This cargo carrier is designed for use with two inch hitches, and it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is CC-100. A couple things I really like about the carrier here, one's going to be the size of that expanded steel on the floor. If you're putting muddy, chunky things on there, it's going to give us plenty of room for dirt and debris and things like that fall down and out. I also like the shorter rail that we've got around the outside. This is two and three-quarters of an inch high, so there's plenty of rail there for front-to-back and side-to-side stability.
MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, we're test fitting the Max Tow Aluminium Cargo Carrier. Now this cargo carrier is mainly aluminium construction, really nice and light weight. It's designed for sure in 2 inch hitches and it has a capacity of 500 pounds. The part number on it is MT70422. THIs carrier's 41, or I'm sorry 21 by 48. You can see it's got the aluminum slatted floor here, this floor's going to allow for plenty of that larger dirt and debris and things like that to fall down in through while giving us plenty of load support for our gear that we do have loaded up. The raised rail around the outside is going to be about 2 inches high.
Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, we're test fitting the Let's Go Aero GearCage. This is a 32 by 48 cargo carrier. It's been designed for use in 2-inch hitches, and it's going to offer us a 300 pound capacity. Part number on it is HCR222. As you can see, this is a nice, big cargo carrier. It's going to offer the solid floor, rather than a perforated floor.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox
Today in our 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, we've got out the Curt 20 by 60 folding cargo carrier. As you can see we're doing a test on it. Now this cargo carrier has been designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a 500 pound capacity. Part number on it is C-1-8-1-5-1. Thing I really like about the carrier, see this nice high raised rail that goes all the way around the outside It's going to be about 5 and 1/2 inches tall. That gives us good support for our gear, side-to-side and front-to-back. And you also see it makes some really nice connection points here for our straps. Also we're going to have reflectors on the side and on the rear to help increase our visibility.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Equinox, we've got out the Curt 20 by 60 Cargo Carrier here. We're going to do a testing on it. Now, the cargo carrier has been designed for use with two inch hitches, and it offers a capacity of 500 pounds. Part number on it is C18150. Something I really like about the carrier is this nice raised rail all the way around the outside, there. This is going to be about five and a half inches high. It's going to give us really good support for our load, once it's on there.

"This is the BEST Cargo Carrier I have ever seen - from engineering to looks to capacity. It exemplifies the old addage the you get what you pay for.. You guys were a pleasure to deal with in this transaction. Your follow-up emails on status of the delivery were much appreciated - and very professional. Keep up the good work!"
