Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
Super easy to install and works as advertised, no issues.
# 2
Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
The assembly of the rack was straight forward and quick. I have used it once and had no problems. Loading the bikes was very easy compared to a roof rack. Overall I like the rack. After the installation, I bought a bolt lock to replace the standard hitch bolt. The bolt lock made the rack sway slightly during travel, but not a real concern. Being able to fold the wheel rails up when not using the rack to carry bikes is a nice feature. I am pleased with this purchase.
I am impressed with this company's professionalism. They kept me informed from start to finish with emails and tracking info. The product is just as advertised and expected.

Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
Easy to follow instructions - easy assembly. Fits great on my Highlander and has fittings for many, many other cars. Holds bikes well - ample distance between car and bike so no scratching! No need for a hitch style carrier - this works great.
Easy to install and remove. A great product if you don't want to mess with a traditional rack that uses a trailer hitch. We have no hitch so works perfect on our Toyota Highlander.

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Received the bike rack shipment today and did a partial assembly, following the easy to understand instructions. Plan on completing the installation on the vehicle tomorrow. We were concerned on possible missing parts as the package was badly damaged - see pics - but all were there and we are very satisfied. Suzanne L.
This rack is mounted on our 2-inch hitch and feels very solid. Two regular adult bikes were easy to mount. The wheel loops tighten so you don't have to continually readjust if you put the bikes on in the same order. It does stick out from the vehicle and because it is low I am worried that someone will hit it in a parking lot. For now, I decided to take it off while not in use. We made our first trip today and went on the freeway no problem. Overall I am very satisfied.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Bought the Draw-Tite trailer hits together with the Swagman XTC4 4-bike rack. Bought based on reviews on e-trailer and other sites that this is a sturdy and good-working combination for carrying 4 bikes. * Delivery: Fast (<5 days) * Packaging: Package had holes, which is not unusual as the box with the hitch has a lot of empty spaces. Others had same issue, but nothing to worry about. The hitch cannot really break easily and the hardware is safely stored in the 2inch receiver. * Installation: Very nice video instructions on etrailer. Installation really can use two people, but it's fairly easy with two people. Had some problems with one of the nine screws to bite although I did a try run before mounting the hitch. Worked after some minutes of wiggling the hitch so that the screw got the correct angle to bite. * Usage: Installed the day of delivery and used it the next day. It's the first time I used a trailer hitch and for sure the first time I used to carry 4 bikes. Stopped looking in the rear-view mirror after 1 minutes seeing that it's barely moving at all. So with a limited use so far I can confirm other's reviews of this combination and I think it works great. Recommended.
What we like about it: Easy on-off for 3 bikes; adjustable; folds up when not needed; transports very securely. Lock built in to bike rack offers mental security as well. What we don't like: hard to get 4th bike on--have to be strategic about placement of bikes/directions they are pointing, to fit 2 adult & 2 kid bikes, one with stunt spikes. Also, when it's up you can't access cargo space at all, and when it's down, it's hard to access the cargo space b/c the bike rack gets in the way of opening/reaching into it. And when flipped up (not using), it still sticks out quite a bit, making it hard to park in tight spaces. it's not very difficult to remove it, but it's heavy. Finally, one of our adjustable "hooks" (the part that hooks over the middle of the bike to secure it) doesn't adjust easily--need 2 hands' strength to squeeze it hard enough to get it to move. It's been this way since we first got it. For these reasons, can't give it 5 stars--but we give it 4 b/c we think as we use it more we'll get the strategy down, and the convenience and security and clever design make it worth 4/5 stars. We've definitely done more family biking since we bought it and that was the goal.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Easy to install and remove. A great product if you don't want to mess with a traditional rack that uses a trailer hitch. We have no hitch so works perfect on our Toyota Highlander.
Easy to follow instructions - easy assembly. Fits great on my Highlander and has fittings for many, many other cars. Holds bikes well - ample distance between car and bike so no scratching! No need for a hitch style carrier - this works great.

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
This was installed in a 2" hitch but can accommodate the smaller receiver as well. This rack holds on to my large frame mountain bike just fine with virtually no sway during the short trips to my local trail. All features work as advertised, but please note that while the kit comes with a long strap to hold multiple bikes together (to prevent the frame bouncing against each other I assume), the kit does not include a strap to hold the front wheel/fork steady. I improvised one with a short bungee cord. Shipping from etrailer was fast and communicated well via notifiactions.
Check out my other review on the hidden hitch for a 2015 BMW 4 Series for the majority of the review, but this thing is great. Easy setup and install, does all the things it's supposed to do. Mounting and removing bikes is a snap with the included clips (big difference from some of the cheaper variants with nylon ratchet straps). Fits very snugly in my 2" receiver, and pretty solid on the highway and over bumpy roads.

Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
It was obvious that we received a product that was returned by someone else when the box was overly taped shut, a support collar was broken, and most of the pieces were out of their ripped plastic bags. However, it was a great price to hold 5, 26" and/or 27" Trek bikes. I used a piece of the broken collar and went ahead and assembled the rack. Due to the weight of the 5 bikes it did not wobble that much when driving, as one of the bike tires was up against my car. I can only imagine that if we received an untampered product that this review would have been 5 stars. The picture is a little hard to see, but there are 5 Trek bikes on the rack on my 2020 Toyota Seinna.
We received a damaged box, damaged items, no instructions, the nuts and bolts are completely stripped and not inside a bag. This was obviously used, returned, not checked for quality and sent out. We are extremely upset.

Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Bought this for my 2019 Toyota Highlander. Installation was easy, especially after watching the etrailer video. I've had the rack for about a year and it's held up and worked well the dozen or so times I've used it. I have had zero issues even on very long road trips (NYC to Outer Banks, NC). Folds up nice and tight when not in use, which is great for storage. Would recommend.
Great exterior bike carrier. Easy to use and positioning on the car is good.
# 10
Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Great "universal" rack for a lot less $ than other brands. With just minimal knowledge of nuts, bolts and spacers this rack can easily be attached to a slightly curved roof rack, like my toyta highlander.
Work as advertised. Easy to fit to a caf roof rack. I work buy again.

Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
The rack is great for using with Lectric folding bikes. Did need a set of the fat tire straps in order to completely tie it down. I’m over 80 years old and the ramp is essential. Love the product.
Excellent bike carrier.

Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting
Fits my Highlander like a glove. Fairly easy installation thanks to the etrailer videos. Local garage was impressed that I did it myself.
Purchasing the product, pricing and speed of delivery were all awesome. Have used etrailer before and they have always been great. Assembling the bike rack was not too difficult. Their instruction manual could use a little work though. It took some decifering to figure out. But I LOVE the bike rack. Much easier to use than any previous bike rack I have owned. And it can stay on the vehicle for extended periods, without being bothersome. I LOVE IT!
RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away 2 Bike Rack Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty SwingAway Bike Rack and how it fits on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This is gonna be a very feature-rich bike rack where you can not only tilt it away, but also swing it away, and it has a great weight capacity for electric bikes and bikes of different shapes and sizes. And we're gonna focus on how it fits this car. If you want quick and easy access into your hatch, you don't have to swing this whole rack away, you can start with a tilt-away feature. So that's this bright blue lever here.
Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at how the Saris SuperClamp EX Two Bike by Platform Rack fits on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this bike rack is really good if you want something that has a lot of features without having to spend a lot. You have a good weight capacity for heavy electric bikes, it tilts away. And if you have fenders, this will work with that. It has some downsides too, though, like it takes a lot of extra time to put your bike on and off of this rack. So we'll talk about that.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the Swagman XTC2 TILTing bike rack and how it fits on a 2019 Toyota Highlander. So if you're familiar with the Swagman XC2 that's really popular because it's affordable, it's lightweight, it's compact. This takes those features, but it now adds the tilt to it. So there's pros and cons to it. The main pro is its affordability. Now the downside is you're gonna have to go through a little bit of extra work to get your bike on there and it can't carry every single bike.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hi, everyone, it's Aiden here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 Single Bike Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. And it's gonna be a platform-style rack that's gonna hold your bike down there at the back wheel with a little wheel strap and up here with a wheel hook. Now, what that means is you're gonna be able to carry a lot of different styles of bike because there's no frame contact here. So, our carbon frame bikes are gonna be good to go with this bike rack, as well as some of your e-bikes, sometimes those have alternative frames, or women's bikes, those will be good too because again, we're not relying on this top tube for any sort of securing this down to the bike rack. Now, I really like this too because the Kuat Transfer is super easy to use.
Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Rob: Hey everybody, it's Rob here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman XC 2-Bike platform rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. Now, our Swagman bike rack is going allow us to carry two bikes to and from the trail pretty easily. That way we could take maybe a friend with us or a family member and take a bike ride. Now we're not only going to have one point of contact holding the frame. Our wheels are going to be held in wheel trays. We're going to have a total of three points of contact holding our bike in.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the Thule Helium Two Bike Platform Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. Now, I really liked this rack mainly because of how it's designed. It's going to have two wheel hoops so there's no frame contact. So, it's extremely good for those carbon bikes where you don't want that frame contact, you don't want to have anything scratching the paint job or anything like that. But the other thing I like about it is, is once you get two bikes on here a lot of times we end up with interference. You can see the handlebars here are already coming into the space where this second bike trailers but the nice part about it is we have our two wheel hoops, we can loosen them up.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we'll be taking a look at the Thule Camber 4 hanging style bike rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. Now, our Camber's going to allow us to take up to four bikes with us to, and from the trail. And in my opinion, I prefer a bike rack that attaches to the hitch rather than a trunk mount or a roof mount rack. Mainly because I'm a little bit on the shorter side and I don't really like the idea of lifting my bike up over the head and potentially scratching the Highlander.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks TRS 2 platform style bike rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This one is going to be for e-bikes, so it is going to be able to hold about 65 pounds per bike. One of the nice thing about this, yes, it can fit the heavier bikes on it, but we can tilt it away with the bikes installed. All we really need to do is just come down here .. and do your best to kind of prop it up a little bit while we undo this pin here.
Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 Bike Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this is going to be a platform style rack, it's going to get two bikes to and from your destination. And one of the main things about this one that I noticed right off the bat is that it doesn't tilt, so you won't have that feature. But, it is going to have a significant rise to its shanks so we're going to have a lot of ground clearance. So for those maybe off-road applications it might be something for you.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi everyone. Adam, etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule T2 Pro platform style bike rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this is going to be the black version of the two bike rack version, but we actually will have a four bike rack version as well. So you can either buy the four bike rack version at the start or you can just buy the two and you can actually just add extensions on the end of it. So you do it however you guys want.
Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Saris Glide EX 5 hanging style bike rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this is the five- bike rack version but we do have a four-bike rack version, it's going to be around the same length here but just a little bit more space in between each of our bike mounts. Those also are going to come in three different colors, we're going to have black as you see here, bronze and blue. So if you have a blue car, bronze car, whatever, you'd just like to have a little bit of color in your hitch, you can go ahead and pick one of those up at etrailer. We carry them all here.
Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Saris Freedom EX2 Platform Style Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this is going to be a bike rack that we'll be able to hold up to 60 pounds per bike. And we are going to have wheel cradles that will hold tires up to about four and a half inches wide as well. So with that weight and the tire with, we will be able to get some of our electric bikes on here as well.

Adam: Hi, everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman Current Bike Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This Current is going to be made for some of your e-bikes. We're going to be able to hold about 60 pounds per bike. We do have massive wheel wells here, about five inches of tire width that we can hold up to. So if you even have one of those fat tire bikes as well, they're going to be able to fit on here too.And the nice thing about this bike rack is we can actually tilt it with our bikes installed, which is awesome. There's a little lever right here, and all we really need to do is just kind of pull up on that and that's going to access our tilting feature to allow access to our back hatch.
RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo Bike Rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This one right here is the Solo, so we're only going to be able to carry one bike to and from our destination, but we can actually grab an extension, and that's going to allow us to have two bikes on there. Also, we actually do have a two bike version that comes with a two inch shank. Unlike the one we have here, it's going to be both, but that one, two inch shank version of the two bike version of this bike rack, we can actually add another one onto that, so there is some options here. If you like the MonoRail, we're going to be able to get either just the one, or two, or even get the three bike rack version for this.
Malone Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Malone Hanger 3 on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. But the three is what we're looking at today and it is going to be able to hold three bikes with two tie-down points per bike.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hi, there, Highlander owners. Today on our 2019 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at Kuat's transfer platform bike rack. This is available in either a two- or three-bike rack version, in either black or gray. This bike rack is a platform-style bike rack, which is going to be ideal, particularly if you have carbon fiber bikes, due to the way it mounts to the rack. This is going to hold it in place with the hook here in the front, clamping your front tire down inside the cradle, and then the smaller cradle here in the back holds your rear tire using the cam buckle strap. The step-through design of this bike rack makes it easier to remove your bike. Once you've got the first bike rack off, if you're only carrying the one, you can just move this arm out of the way and you can get right up in there inside of the bike rack to more easily pick up your bike and set it aside. Hop on it at the trail.
Rhino Rack Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hi there, Highlander owners! Today, on our 2019 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at Rhino-Rack's hanging style two-bike rack. This bike rack will hold your bike in place using the frame. There are three points of contact that holds it in place. There's two on top for your top beam, and then one for the vertical beam here that will keep it from swaying back and forth, to prevent bike-to-bike contact as well as bike-to-rack contact. It features grooved cradles, which gives you a channel for your brake cables to sit down in-between. So, that way, when you're going down the road, your cables aren't scratching up the bottom of your frame. When you're ready to remove your bike, simply pull down on the rubber straps, and release them from the hooks. Then you can pick your bike up, pull it off, and you're ready to hit the trail. You'll want to keep in mind that when your bike rack is installed on your vehicle it is going to add to the length of your vehicle. This is important to remember when you pull into your garage, before you shut the door, or if you're in a parking lot where you have any tight maneuvers you need to make. From the edge of our rear bumper to the furthest point, it's going to be about 26 inches; from the ground to the closest point, it's going to be about 17 inches; and the closest point of our rack to our rear bumper is going to be here, at about seven inches.

Hi there Highlander owners, today on your 2019 Toyota Highlander we're going to be taking a look at Reese's Explore bike rack. This bike rack is a hanging style bike rack that'll hold up to three bikes. It secures the bikes in place using the cradles here at the top and then secures it at two points using the hook and loop fasteners on each side. The cradles that your bikes will sit in is rubberized, which will give it extra grip to keep it in place and there's a channel located in the bottom for your brake cables to go to keep those from rubbing up against your frame, causing any scratches or abrasions. When you're ready to take your bike off, simply pull the hook and loop fasteners loose, feed them out of the eyelets, and then you can just lift your bike off. You'll notice here with our Highlander if we try to open the door, it will contact our bike rack there. So we'll go ahead and shut the door and tilt it away.

This rack holds your bike in place on your top bar at two locations using the rubberized straps, and one on your vertical bar, using a rubberized strap as well. The one here at the vertical bar is to help prevent movement back and forth, to prevent bike to bike contact, as well as prevent bike to rack contact. Each cradle's going to have grooves in it. These grooves are designed to let your brake cables fit in them so that way there's clearance so that way they're not rubbing up against your frame causing any scratches or abrasions.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro two bike rack. Now, my favorite thing about this rack is that it's going to be made from aluminum. So it's going to be incredibly lightweight and easy to maneuver. We're not going to have to worry about any rust or corrosion issues either. And since it is fairly compact, if we're not using it, we're able to store it inside of our car without any issues.

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Today on our 2019 Toyota Highlander we're gonna be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 platform style two bike rack. That's part number HR1450Z.I've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea what it looks like and how it's gonna hold our bikes. It actually holds our bikes with this rubber coated frame hook. It goes over our top tube and puts down pressure into the cradles and then wheel straps keep our wheels in place. Not a bad way to carry our bikes. A lot of platform style racks go this route.
Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Today, we have a 2019 Toyota Highlander. We're going to be test fitting the Kuat NV 2.0 two-bike platform rack, which is part of a NV 22B. It's a very high quality rack that Kuat has produced. It's got a lot of great features. We'll go over a couple of them right now. The first one that I want to point out is that, like most platform racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle with bikes loaded.
What our customers are saying:
"great experience!!! I've been looking for a hitch. With the experience I just had with the bike rack, I;kk definitely come back and order the hitch when I have a little more $$$. delivery was quick! the product was awesome!!! Frank"
