All went well with the order and installation. Wiring kit did not have enough cable ties. I needed an extra 15 to make it right. How to videos were very informative.

I reviewed the product installation video after which I felt very confident in being able to install the hitch and receiver myself. The receiver is now installed and looks really good. I also really like this site with all their installation materials and valuable reviews.

Came quickly, website was easy. Good product. Lost the pin to hold it in during a trip and still came thru. It jammed into my receiver and didn't come loose until I took the trailer off.

I would give five stars but due to what looks like packaging problems the hitch came very marred and the coating chipping off.

Very solid. I like the cushion feature to prevent damage to my vehicle.

Makes for a great hard-core dirt road set up with a 3000 pound trailer, in conjunction with the Curt rocker ball, Towing with an F150 over many miles of washboards, down through washes where the road was washed out, etc. Really makes for a gentler set up on the equipment in the trailer and the truck. With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.

I have a custom made tow guard. The ball mount I have was too short to allow me to attach the tow guard to my new truck. I searched the web and found just what I needed at etrailer.com. I just purchased a new hideaway hitch system. But the hitch sits only 15 inches off the ground at best. And, my trailer coupling is 22-23 inches off ground. So l needed 7-8 inches of rise on the new 1.25 inch receiver system. Internet research took me to etrailer and the Brophy hitch. I got 5.5 inches with the Brophy hitch, the highest available for a 1.25 inch receiver I could find. The others are limited to 5 inches max. I added another 1.5 inches with your Curt shock absorbing hitch. Voila, with a combined 7 inches of rise and on level ground the trailer now rides perfectly level!!!! Both parts were very easy to connect. Delivery was speedy. Thank you for saving the day and my investment in an expensive new hideaway hitch!

Quality parts, but the extra rise with this and the Curt Rocker Ball still wasn’t enough to avoid scraping the top of my inclined road while towing my boat.

I am an infrequent trailer user, but getting my daughter home from college was necessary in March. This drawbar fits my hitch and utility trailer well, did exactly what it is supposed to do, and was the last thing to be concerned about right then. I have a '11 Mini Countryman S with a Class II receiver from Mini Fini, (which cost twice as much as a Curt) where the hole is flush with the fake grille near the bottom of the bumper cover, so I needed the long bar to reach out past the bumper. The Curt receiver for that car hangs visible underneath the bumper (ugly), which also increases the lever arm on the receiver beam and would have needed an even taller rise. (Curt take note!) All just part of the kit to create an occasional 1 ton pickup out of my Mini, leaving the "bed" at home most of the time.

Needed a large drop hitch to pull my car trailer. This item came quickly and worked perfectly.

Everything came quick. The online video and paper instructions were spot on and made the whole process very simple.

Functionally, this hitch has been great with no issues to date. Aesthetically, the black color did quickly fade to a gray color within a couple of months. Ball surface also presented rust after very minimal use. That being said, I did buy a hitch to tow trailers, not look pretty.

Weights a ton. Seems very strong...10,000 pounds using the 2 5/16s balls. Good paint.

Rather simple product but appears to be built well. Worked great for raising the height of my ball mount because the Kia Sorento sits to low to utilize a straight shank. The people at etrailer were also great!!!

Sturdy construction. Better quality than what I expected.

works well brings the trailer tongue up to level. I have it on an EV so the raddle is annoying, because I just keep on forgetting to buy a anti rattler.

It is heavy duty and well-built. I am not disappointed at all and I get comments everyone smile from people who are used to traveling overseas asking where I got the European style hitch from. The only downside is the lack of interchangeability in the size of the ball itself but I don’t think that’s a big deal because I set it up for what I need it for and keep a vehicle vehicle for longer periods of time.

Solid, heavy as heck. Bought this model because 1) I only have 1 lightweight trailer (Malone xtralight, also purchased from etrailer at the same time) and it’s light weight. 2) I am stuffing this into an adaptor also bought from etrailer to further stuff into a receiver also purchased from etrailer. 3) All this is on the back of my 2018 Subaru Outback. Beings that it’s a Subaru it’s not going to be used to drag a huge or heavy trailer. I’ll repeat this part in my review of the adapter, buy probably from etrailer, a receiver lock that is sleeved, to be both 1/22 and 5/8 and long. That way if you don’t want this sticking way out the back (shin killer) you can use 1 lock and go all the way through receiver/ adapter/ and this ball mount. Otherwise buy you’ll need 2 locks 1 for receiver to adapter 5/8 and a second 1/22 to go through adapter into this unit. A side benefit is it’s just different. It’s not an everyday boring looking ball mount, it’s heavy duty so why not.

I use this hitch when I pull my horse trailer to make the stop/start transitions as smooth as possible for the horses in the back. It works great. I also love that its a category IV hitch. Really heavy duty. My truck sits pretty high, and the amount of drop - 8" is perfect. I never worry about hitch failure travelling with my horses - they're a heavy load, and any failure would be a disaster. E Trailer provided excellent service, and their shipping to Canada was prompt and hassle free. Way to go guys, keep up the great work!
