Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon we're doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That part number is TH9034. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you one of the key features of this rack. We're going to come here to the back and squeeze our handle together. What's great about this rack compared to others is that you don't have to reach in between your bikes and maneuver around them to try and grab any handles or push down any levers to be able to tilt your bike rack away.



Swagman Titan Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Titan. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. It's designed for use in both the 1-1/4" and 2" hitch. Its part number is S63410. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll want to line up the hole in the shank with our hitch pinhole. We'll then thread in our anti-rattle bolt.



SportRack Roof Bike Racks Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback, we're going to be test fitting the Sportrack Roof Mounted Bike Rack with part number SR4622. Bike rack's made to fit onto the roof rack of your vehicle and offers a fork clamp style connection point here at the front. To begin our test fit, we'll bring one of our black, rubber coated, metal U-bolts around the underside of cross bar and thread two wing nuts onto it. We just going to get these hand tight for now. We'll go through our final tightening process once we have them both in place. Bring our second one up through now, thread the wing nut done onto it and one more here at the rear. We'll get it positioned where we want it, we'll have this skewer centered just about over the top of our crossbar and then we'll tighten both of our wing nuts down on each of the U-bolts. All right with the front secure, let's move to the rear.



Saris Thelma 3 Bike Rack Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback we're going to be test fitting the Saris Thelma. This is a tilting 3-bike rack platform-style. It's designed for use in 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. Its part number is SA4239B. Now to begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this we want to keep an eye on the threaded hole to see when it lines up with the pinhole in our hitch tube.



Thule Helium Aero Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback we're going to be test fitting the Thule Helium Aero. This is a folding and tilting 2-bike rack that's designed for use in both the 1-1/4" and 2" style of hitch. Its part number is TH9042. Now to begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do we need to hold onto the black attached pin, slide it in so our pinholes line up, and allow that pin to go right into the hole. We'll then turn the black knob here; this is going to engage the anti-rattle device further securing our rack to our vehicle.



Yakima FullTilt 4 Bike Rack Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Full Tilt. This is a folding and tilting 4 bike rack. It's designed for use in both the 1 1/4 and 2 inch hitches. It's part number is Y02462. To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in, we'll want to watch through the pin hole for the small silver tab to appear. I like then to pull back on it to give us as much clearance as possible.

Today, on our 2013 Subaru Outback, we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom. This is a platform style, tilting and folding 4 bike rack. It's designed for use in 2 inch hitches. It's Part Number SA4414B. Now to begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube our hitch. As we do this, we want to keep an eye through the pin hole and the side of our hitch to see when the threaded hole lines up with. With our holes lined up, we'll take our anti rattle bolt.

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback we're going to be test fitting the Saris Axis. This is a folding and tilting 2-bike rack. It's designed for use with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches. Its part number is SA832. Now to begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we slide it in we want to line up our threaded pinhole with our hitch pinhole.



Saris Freedom SuperClamp 2 Bike Rack Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback we're going to be test fitting the Saris Freedom SuperClamp. This is a two-bike platform style rack. It's Part Number is SA4025. To begin our test fit we're going to slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll slide it in far enough so our threaded hole lines up with our hitch pin hole. We can then thread in our anti rattle bolt and we'll run that down hand tight, and we'll use our wrench to finish it off. We can then use the provided lock from Saris, clip it on the other side to secure it. We're going to have about 11 and a half inches worth of ground clearance here at the base of the shank and about 18 and a half here at the rear of the rack.



Softride Element Hitch Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback, we're going to be test fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram. This is a folding and tilting 4 bike rack. It's designed for use in the 2 inch hitches, it's part number is SR26248. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we want to line one of our threaded holes up with our hitch pin hole. I'm going to line up the first one to give us as much clearance room as possible. We can then take our anti-rattle bolt and thread that in.



Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback, we're going to be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram. This is a tilt away style 4 bike rack. It's designed for use in 2" hitches. Its part number is SR26247. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the rack right into the receiver tube of our hitch. As we do this, we're going to want to line up one of the sets of holes that we have. We're going to be using the furthest one, or the one closest to the car, just so we have as much clearance room as possible.

To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll go ahead and line up the hitch pin hole then we can thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it with a wrench. Now we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of 12 inches. The closest part of the carrier to the rear of the vehicle is about an inch.



Yakima DoubleDown Ace Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Doubledown Ace Four Bike Carrier Part Number Y02451. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver to move our hitch. Line up the pinhole and install our pin. Then we can move to the back of the shank and tighten the hand knob, engaging our anti-rattle device and securing our carrier to our vehicle. Now, we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance.

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon we'll be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 bike carrier, part number TH9029. To begin our test fix we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the pinholes and then thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it with a wrench. Now we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of 12 inches. From the closest point of the bike carrier to the rear of the vehicle is about 2 inches.

Today on our 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon well be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding tilting four bike rack part #: TH934XTR. To begin our test fit well slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, well line up the pinhole and then thread in our anti-rattle bolt and tighten it with a wrench. Now well go ahead and go over some clearance measurements. We have about 12 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the rear of the vehicle is about 5 inches. With the bike carrier in the folded position weve added about 14 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.

To begin our test fix we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. Line up the pinhole and install our pin and clip. At the back of the shank we can then hand tighten the hand knob to engage our anti-rattle device. Now we'll go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of 12 inches.
