Best 2013 Honda Pilot Cargo Carriers

Its pretty great. Simple, but works as intended. Doesn't rattle around with my Honda Pilot. Easy to install and remove. Store upright when not in use. Would recommend.

Great basic cargo carrier. Great value. We just went camping with it and it worked great. Very secure and felt very sturdy. We had no trouble traveling with it. We bought a bungee net (not included) to secure our three totes in it. Our totes are 18”x 24” and are 14” tall—they fit great with room left over, however, I would recommend purchasing one big fitted box for the carrier so that there isn’t wasted space. With our totes being 14 inches tall, the carrier still sits far enough away from the car that we were able to open the back door of our Honda Pilot without taking off the carrier or anything from it—so that was very handy when making pit stops to let our dog out and just to get stuff from the back. We have a large (85 lb) dog who was able to get in and out of the back of the car with the carrier still on (although a little tight). If you are traveling somewhere where theft is a concern, I would recommend purchasing a pin with a lock on it. Fun tip: We also used the carrier as a drying rack for towels after swimming and just as an extra table. It was nice being up off the ground. (This was just when we were parked at our camp site.) After a good amount of research on cargo carriers, I settled on the Curt C18152. One year later, I couldn't be more convinced that I made the right decision. This carrier is rock solid. No swaying or bending like I see on the roads with other products.

Purchased for a 2017 Honda Pilot. I feel like this was a little wide for the Pilot, but it certainly was enough room to put a lot of stuff back there!

What a great product. Easy to assemble. Loaded well and rode so well, I didn't even notice it was back there while driving. Very glad I purchased this and the price was awesome as well.

Product was/is as advertized. Easy to assemble, very clear directions. Have already used twice, removing debris from Hurricane Matthew, expect it will work well for going to the beach next summer. Very satisfied w/etrailer service, UPS not so much,

This was easy to assemble and integrated nicely with our 2017 Honda Pilot. Combined with the Cargo Bag, it provided reliable storage for our trip. Very sturdy construction.

I purchased this item due to its lighter carry weight as I will store it in an attic when not in use. Reasonably light considering the capacity. When I inventoried the fasteners included for assembly against the instruction sheet, the quantities appeared short. I decided to assemble what I could and then contact the company with what was missing. It all worked out and seems the instructions are for multiple models of similar design. Unit is stout and well made. Assembly was easy over a large cup of coffee.

Excellent customer service and shipping. Cargo box arrived when they said it would and delivery driver went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied. I honestly couldn't be happier. Thule pulse large size is perfect for our family of five, and the duffel bags are also great.

Overall, we are pleased with this carrier. My husband and son installed it easily on my 2017 Honda Pilot, and I could still use my sunroof. The only noise was when it was empty and we hit one big bump. 99.9% of the time, it was not possible to detect the carrier was there. It did not seem to effect gas mileage either. It did not get 5 stars for the combination of price and quality. For the cost, I might have expected it to be a little less flimsy feeling, and a little more precisely constructed. However, once in use, these minor issues disappeared. We use it for luggage holding clothing, and it held 2 large pieces with room to spare. Overall, we are satisfied. However, do not forget you need space to store it when not in use !

I love the rack and the extended length is great on my Sequoia. I am disappointed with the finish on it as the connector plates are already showing signs of rust….. I like it enough that I’m going to repaint it with something more suited to our climate…

The rack and extension arrived in sturdy boxes, well packed and no damage in shipping. The parts fit together easily. The welds left something to be desired, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. As a precaution against corrosion,I got some plasti-dip, which is a rubberized vinyl sealant and sealed all the places where moisture could get into the various tubes of the rack. I was satisfied with the quality of the powder coating on all the parts. The mounting system to the roof rack is interesting and appears well-designed. The assembly and installation instructions are OK, but could have been written better. For example, there is an extra tightening knob for the U-bolts, but no description if it is there as a spare.

Product seems to be heavy duty and well built. The installation instruction were very hard to read. The diagrams were way to small. It was missing hardware and one of the larger bolts was stripped prior to installation. So I had to make a trip to the hardware store to complete the assembly. The tools provided would be helpful for those that do not have the proper tools for assembly. When I initially placed my order it said it would be delivered before Christmas and that was over 5 weeks away. But it arrived in less than a week. So shipping was faster than expected. Overall, this carrier seems to be a well made product. We will be using it on our family vacation in a few weeks so I will update this review after we get back.

This hitch was easy to install on a 2016 Honda Pilot.

I LOVE MY CARPOD!! We (my 3 kids and parents) took my Pilot to a 3 week road trip across 8 states, crossed the border to Canada including two provinces, and drove 4900 miles! This product held 5 duffel bags, 1 luggage, and other things we could stuff in there!! It rained the WHOLE state of Montana and only one side of inside the bag was wet. I think it was because I didn’t fold the flap down properly so some moisture seeped through the zipper and the sides of my girls’ duffel bags got wet. Tammy, the sales rep, was so helpful! I had many questions and she took time finding out the answers to my questions and helped me decide which product was best for me. She also suggested the anti rattle device, which I highly recommend, since I drove and felt like there was nothing behind me. It was so quiet!! It also made a prefect table for our roadside lunch breaks! I highly reccomned this product!!

I absolutely love this skybox. I put a roof rack (just the two rails that go across the short width of the roof) on my Honda Pilot, and this box fits perfectly. The key cannot be removed unless the box is securely fastened, a nice safety feature. Only once was it an inconvenience because of low clearance in a parking garage. It has enough space for all the tent camping gear for a family of 5, and we use it for skis, snowboards, and snowshoes during the winter. I never take it off because we are using it all the time! Additionally, it protected my roof during the last horrible hail storm we had in Colorado. One of the Yakima stickers had melted off during transit, and a second one fell off shortly afterwards (I couldn't have cared less about the stickers, but just in case someone does).

This thing has been great. Easy to install/remove. Comfortably fits 7 people's worth of skis, boots, poles, and duffle bags for a weekend ski trip. Only struggle is sometimes it is hard to lock, but don't let that stop you. This has let a Honda Pilot get 7 people to the snow (three trips now)

Easy to assemble and install. Looks and works great on our new 2023 Honda Pilot using OEM cross bars.

The MegaWarrior is a great Roof Rack. The only thing I didn’t like was the fit to the roof rails. My rails that I purchased from you are shaped like aircraft wings and the basket clamps seem to be designed for round rails. However I was able to complete the attachment and the rack remained secure for a 2,000 mile trip.

I've had this on my Pilot only once in anticipation of a full vehicle for a family outing. I mounted it on the Pilot's roof rack bars but didn't need to use it. Traveling down the interstate at 70 mph and no noise or rattling from the basket. The downside for me is the attachment bars. They are universal fit for multiple vehicles and I would perfer a specific fit for my 2018 Pilot; guess I need to spend more money to get that. All in all it's a nice roof basket and sufficiently robust for it's purpose (and it's a good price point). I would recommend this to a friend. Sorry, I don't have any pictures.

Holds a lot of stuff! Opening from both sides is convenient. Hooked right onto my factory roof bars. My Honda Pilot requires 8' (90" really, with 6 more for safety) clearance with this on the roof so be careful in parking garages many of which have a 7 foot limit.

XL fits a 2020 Honda Pilot very well. Nice option to have the box open from either side, and it stays open on its own. Lock is secure. Requires two people to lift the box on top of an SUV. Easy to secure the box to horizontal bars. Overall, very happy with the box!

Greetings, I am giving these items 3? Because I was offered alternative products that did not fit together. Originally, I intended to purchase a roof rack cargo basket type and a spare tire holder from Yakima manufacturer that go well together, but one of them wasn’t in stock. So, after 3 weeks waiting time, I was offered alternative items via etrailer website, and I accepted them…after all, they are the experts. I got the recommended items through UPS, then I assembled them by myself. The roof rack cargo basket fit well on my car, but the spare tire holder was not compatible with the roof rack cargo basket. They couldn’t be assembled together. I submitted my claim to return the spare tire holder. Now, I have not achieved my goal to carry my spare tire. Understanding the needs and expectations of your customers is critical to maximize customer satisfaction. I am sure both products are good, but they are not compatible together, even though they were manufactured by the same company. Distributors should know better! I returned one item and I hope to be refunded.

Great product. Easily puts together and I was able to install on our 2016 Toyota Highlander OEM roof rails with no problems. The mounting brackets slide to make for a easy fit. Have taken it on two long road trips with zero issues last summer one to the montains and one to the beach. Was able to fit our jogging stroller on in the basket. Had some heavy rain on one trip and seen no signs of water getting into the rails as that was a concern of mine when researching the different racks. The high sides allowed for easy tie downs for the weather bag we put the stroller in. Seemed to add a little road noise with nothing in it but that is to be expected when hauling things on the roof but the wind deflector seemed to keep the noise down. Easy to put on and off with a single person able to lift it. Great product, great fit for the car. Plan on using it for some more upcoming trips.

Super easy install... I mean Scraping the sticker off the side of it took 4 times as long as actually getting it secured on my roof. Plenty of room for the tailgate of my Honda Pilot to fully open too. Highly Recommended!

Perfect sized box for carry sized luggage and softball game day gear. Proven space saver. Receiver is showing signs of rust otherwise would be a ten. Would buy again.

The cargo carrier generally performed as intended, but it took a lot of tinkering and a warranty replacement of the lid to complete things to our satisfaction. On delivery we found that both two aluminum side stiffeners had been bent during shipment, and were replaced fairly quickly. We then found excessive play in the fit with the receiver, and it was impossible to accommodate a "noise reduction clamp" properly at the hitch, so I used part of a bent aluminum stiffener to apply pressure across the connection between the receiver and the hitch. And lastly, the lid section was warped by over 1", which still kept rain out, but did not keep fine dust out, and it was very unsightly. After a bit of discussion, a replacement lid was provided at no cost, which I have not yet had the chance to inspect as it was delivered to our Arizona home over the summer, and we spend the summer in Canada.
