Thule Domestique Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Volkswagen Passat

Today on our 2012 Volkswagen Passat, well be test fitting the Thule Domestique Fork Mount Bike Carrier, part number TH513. To being our test fit, well set the carrier on top of the crossbars; well secure the front of the carrier using the backplate underneath the crossbar and tighten it down using the Allen key. Youre going to need to take out the skewer in order to access the front two Allen bolts. Once you get that tightened down you can insert the skewer and then move to the rear of the carrier where you can swing the bracket underneath the rear crossbar and then tighten it down using the Allen Key. It is important to get the bike carrier perpendicular to the crossbars, so you can get a good solid fit to the crossbars. Once we get the carrier tightened down, were ready to load our bike.
