Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
Installation on my 2012 Odyssey. I thought these pics may be helpful.
I haven't officially used this product, however I have put it on my van and here is my first impression. Overall the product is strong. The only 3 things that I can see is a problem. If you have kids with training wheels, this product wouldn't work. Bikes are to close together for training wheels. If your adult bike has a little curve or the cross bar is large, you will have a little trouble putting it on. The next thing is the bolt that allows you to access the rear hatch is a pain. How they have it set up, you need a wrench to take the bolt out just to get into the rear hatch.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Solid trailer, not too difficult to put together. After putting it together I took a 100 mile trip with four bikes and it worked great. Two tips from others helped. I installed in "on the car" (and was able to do it by myself) and I took some time to put the bikes in the order we would always load it (with our current four bikes), essentially "setting" the wheel holders to the exact bike. Great product and great price.
As noted by other reviewers, this is a heavy rack. But it is extremely well-designed and well-built. Easy to assemble and mount on our 2012 Honda Odyssey though it can't go to upright (storage) position due to lack of bumper clearance. Very easy to get the bikes on and off. And rock solid during transport. My only complaint is the locking pin appears weak. I'll replace it with something more substantial.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I have been using this hitch daily for about 3 weeks. Installation was straight-forward and I had no problems getting it on my 2015 Honda Odyssey. The unit is solid and the amount of sway is minimal. In addition to the rack, I also purchased the Locking Anti-Rattle Threaded hitch pin (S64029). It works fine as well. I did not order the cable that goes with it because of some other reviews I read, but I think I will be ordering the cable shortly. My wife's bike required the use of an Alternate Frame Bike adapter (64005), which I also purchased and it works well. My only suggestion is put additional protective wrap around the frame where the bike is secured on top. I went to the local hardware store and purchased a length of pipe insulation, and then cut it to size. It adds additional protection to reduce scratches and wear on the frame. This was an idea presented in other reviews. I researched a number of other racks, including Thule, and I think this is the best rack for the money. I would recommend this rack to anyone.
This rack it nice and decently made. Really easy to use as long as you use the same bikes in same positions every time. The one thing I was surprised at was very few reviewers if any mentioned that the three bolts that serve to allow the 3 arms to pivot are just simple carriage bolts with regular nuts on the end. All I needed was an adjustable wrench and I the middle arm off in a few seconds. That would mean your bikes are gone even it you use padlocks in the ratchet arms. Seems kind of stupid to use a padlock and key when all a thief really needs is and adjustable wrench. I guess I will take a chisel and damage the extend portion of the bolt threads to make this a little harder from someone to undo the nuts. It really is a weak spot that should be addressed. I am actually thinking a decent cable lock running through the bikes, rack and secured to the car hitch might be more secure than a locking hitch bolt and 2 padlocks for the ratchets. Or perhaps a combination of all the above. As expected Etrailer's service and shipping were excellent.

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Quick and reliable shipping and was able to take to my mechanic to get it installed and it works perfectly with my bike rack!
This is a very solid product! I have used it for over a year now and love it! I have had up to 3 bikes on this without a problem and have traveled over 8 hours in the car one way with absolutely no issues. Many other bike racks like this one that I see on other cars look unstable this is not unstable in anyway. I did have to file some of the paint off of the rack to get it to fit in my 1 and 1/4" hitch but once that was done it has been perfect. I also bought the locking hitch bolt which is awesome too.

Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Planning on bringing bikes while camping. I mounted 2 of the Swagman bike racks to my new Sportrack on my pop-up camper. The bikes fit perfectly. The racks seem sturdy enough. Not heavy duty, but for my needs they should be fine. Assembly was relatively fast and easy.
We have used the Swagman Roof Rack a number of times when we have needed the additional bike carrying capacity. It took a couple attempts to get the initial spacing of the bike rack properly balanced on the van’s roof rack as recommended by the instructions. But it was easy to do and once set was very easy and quick to put on and take off. The rack works great, the bike is easy to put into place and secure. The bike and rack are very stable and quiet and haven’t required any mid-trip adjustments. We always put the cheapest bike on the roof (lol) but do use a bit of duct tape to protect the finish just Incase. We are very satisfied with the rack and consider it quite a deal for the money.

Yakima FullSwing Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Swing Away
Seems like a great product based on the specs and the positive reviews definitely swayed me. But, my experience was only 3 stars. Here's what I found. I have a 2" hitch provided and installed by U-Haul on our 2007 Odyssey, so no flimsy 1" adapter. This thing still moves around a great deal. No failures, but just be prepared when you first mount bikes, go over bumps, etc. LOTS of surface rust after just a year of use where the connecting rod fits into the hitch; took 30+ minutes to work it free last time I took it off the car. We tend to leave it on because we use it often and it is heavy and beastly to put on. Consider some sort of release agent before installation or removal. Operation was fairly straight forward once I got the hang of it. However, over time, certain functions started to fail or become difficult. The key lock is a bit tricky to engage even out of the box, but became very difficult to turn the longer it has been in use. After 10 years, OK. After 1 year, not so much. The locking pin on the arm also started to come out of alignment with the hole in the arm (not much, but enough, has me wondering about the years to come) and required quite a bit of additional manipulation to get it to engage. But, my largest criticism is bike management. We have two adult comfort / mtn bikes, one kid bike and a tag-along. We bought two of the cross bar attacher thingies. No dice. My own men's bike was easy to get on and always went on first per instructions. Next was my wife's, a Trek with a pretty standard triangular frame. TIGHT, TIGHT fit to get that thing on and not the ideal placement to make it work. Our oldest son's bike, another Trek, wouldn't go; could only get one arm through. The cross bar adapter was NO help. What a waste of money, those. Can't use them on anything. They are very limited in their range of use. To get it on, I had to have the bike cocked at about 60 degrees. The crazy fit of bikes #2 and #3 eliminated any chance of getting that tag-along on it even though it is much smaller than a bike. Into the trunk it went, defeating the whole point of a 4-bike carrier. The detachable tie-downs seem like a great idea, but they sure are easy to drop when wrestling a bike, or lose OR STEAL. Where are you going to put them, or the extras, when not in use? Something else to figure out and deal with. The sliding lock downs? Again, another seeming good idea, but after a year, they become very difficult to slide back and forth. I have really had to wrench on them in certain cases to get them to move at all. Can't be good long term and very aggravating since it is supposed to be a slick feature. Why not just leave them in place once you figure out the best spot? Well, there's the principle of it, but there is also this thing called my kids' friends! Yeah, play dates or whatever. Requires a total rework. Not fun. Two adult bikes was very workable even if you couldn't move lock downs...just used the next ones over. And the swing out feature was, in general, very useful. Maybe it's an impossible task, a great 4-bike rack, I dunno. Maybe it's me. But, maybe it's the rack. If you can, try YOUR bikes before buying. Maybe a friend has one already? Maybe it requires some kind of care and feeding not mentioned anywhere. I wouldn't say don't buy it, but just be aware of what you're getting into. Talk to owners of this and other types and brands to see what their use issues might be.
Installation today was pretty straight forward. We had no problems. It may require two people to install the bike rack onto the hitch because it is pretty heavy. But, as a 41 yo woman I was able to attach the bike rack to the hitch by myself. We haven't used it yet to transport our bikes, but I imagine that will be seamless too.

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting

This Yakima 5 bike rack is exactly what I needed. It's very easy to mount and very sturdy.

Swagman XP Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
Purchased this after reading some of the other reviews and Q&A on etrailer - i hadn't thought about the fact that how the crossbars on the bike are configured makes a difference - 3 of our 5 bikes wouldn't have fit on a two bar bike rack because the openings are two small (I ended up measuring them before selecting a rack). I still ended up having to use the adapter for one of them which works great. Installation was easy (I had uhaul put a receiver hitch on my 2012 odyssey the week before) - you do have to pull a pin on the bottom of the rack when you tilt it, which some might consider an inconvenience compared to some of the other brands that just have release levers, but i view it as less stuff to break compared to those racks. If you're going to have it on a lot and park in a garage, consider the fact that it doesn't collapse because it does add significant length to the vehicle. 5 bikes are definitely doable if you set it up correctly. I think its the most versatile rack you can get based on the way it holds the bikes and would definitely recommend.
I will describe the few issues first: 1) the bike rack does not fold down. It tilts away from the car, but it doesn’t fold down when in use. So, the giant bar is always sticking out from your vehicle unless you remove the hitch. 2) the weight limit is 100 lbs total. For 5 bikes, this is typically NOT enough. My kids bikes (20”) are 20 lbs each, my bike is 30 lbs. 3) cross check the price. Prices from Swagmans own site are better than listed here. So I did price match. The construction is sturdy enough and the clasps look good, but we returned for the first two issues above.

Curt Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
Installation on my 2012 Odyssey. I thought these pics may be helpful.
I ordered etrailer hitch and Curt bike rack for our 2015 Honda Odyssey. Happy to write that the install went as smooth as shown in the self install videos. Bike rack is sturdy enough to do pullups .... I waited long and hauled bikes inside the van for few years and this purchase was best for long distance recreational outing. If you know how to use a screw driver, you can do the install... You could also get the feel like a mechanic crawling under the van..

Hollywood Racks Road Runner Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
So, one year in, this works well for the price. I have successfully hauled around 5 bikes a couple times now including a couple vacations. Bikes got there securely despite 4+ hours of driving at interstate speeds, including one harrowing stretch on bumpy roads with 70 mph speed limits (wow Texas, seriously?) where the car got significant amounts of "air" at random intervals. Getting the bikes on and off is still a major pain. I had to buy the adapter for 3 womens/children's bikes. My own full size mountain bike barely fits on, too, the pitch between the bars seems a bit challenging and requires me to contort the bike dramatically to get it on and off. If you are trying to actually get 5 bikes on here, figuring out the bike handle tetris game is not easy. Will take you a bit. It still takes me ~15 min to load 5 bikes up every time. On short trips I sometimes skip the tiedown through all the bike wheels and it's fine, although I wouldn't do it for long trips. My biggest regret here is not buying one where the rack will pivot out to allow access to the rear minivan hitch with the bikes attached -- this means this is the last thing to pack in the car and the first thing you unpack, every time on vacation. It requires planning and forethought. The rack does fold down nicely which we used extensively on vacation once the bikes were unpacked, just don't drive around that way. On my Honda minivan the bottom of this sags a bit when fully loaded with bikes, to the extent I scrape hard every time exiting my slightly inclined driveway. We found a few other low spots along our way, from restaurants to other businesses, that resulted in similar cringe-inducing moments. We drove it on the beach quite a bit, after a healthy wash with the pressure washer there is some mild rusting where the handles rotate, but the rack is otherwise in good shape.
Bought several bike racks and trailer hitches from etrailer. They followed up to make sure all was good. I would highly recommend buying from them. Good people and they care about the customer!

Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey, we're doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Trunk Mount bike carrier. This is designed to work with vehicles with spoilers and the part number for that is HRF2. We already have our bike in place. We're first going to show you how we secure that down, then we'll go over some features. We have two cradles in place with three straps, two on our frame and one as our anti-sway strap in the back. We'll start by pulling down and lifting up to remove these and we can pull our bike off of our rack and set it off to the side. With our bike out of the way, I always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage them.
Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be doing a test fit on the INNO Aero Light. This is a folding and tilting lightweight four bike rack. It's been designed for use an inch and a quarter or two inch hitches. The part number on is INH301. Now it's going to use three connection points to hold the bike in place, two for the frame here on the top, and one here in the rear. That's our Anti-Sway Cradle, that keeps our bike from going up, making contact with the rack or coming back and making contact with the other bikes.
Curt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2012 Honda Odyssey
Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey we're going to be taking a look at and doing a test fit on the CURT premium folding and tilting 4-bike rack. They've designed this for use in 2" hitches and it has a 4-bike capacity as we've said. The part number on it is C18064. Now there's a 3-strap system that's going to hold the bike in place. We've got two straps here on the top and also on the backside here an anti-sway cradle. That helps to prevent the bike to rack or bike to bike contact as we travel down the road. A really big highlight of the rack are going to be the narrowing arms as they come here to the rear.

When I come to the back here, lift slightly up and then pull on the leg pin, that's going to allow us to tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle. I've already checked; because this is pretty close to our door, we aren't able to open our door all the way.
Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2012 Honda Odyssey
Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Paceline Roof-Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH527. We'll begin our test fit by placing the rack on top of our vehicle. If you're on the shorter side, you might want to have a ladder handy. This vehicle is fairly tall. Our Odyssey is equipped with the factory roof rack system. So to begin our test fit, we're going to first open the front nose of the rack, and then the lever here in the back. That's going to drop the T bolt down and allow us to unhook it from the strap. So we're going to fit the strap underneath of our cross bar, and then slide the T bolt back in, and we'll check our tightness. There was a little bit of resistance as we cammed it over, but we're going to get it just a bit tighter, so we'll pull it back out, tighten it up a few turns.

We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. You'll want to watch for the hitch pin holes to line up. With those in line, we'll take the threaded anti-rattle hitch pin bolt and thread that into place. The part that it threads onto is an insert that goes inside the shank, so you'll want to make sure that that's in line, otherwise it's not going to go in. Once we get this hand-tight, we'll go ahead and take a wrench and finish it off the rest of the way. Tightening this down will help eliminate any movement in the shank of the rack, which helps eliminate movement overall when going down the road. We'll attach our clip to the other side and grab a couple of measurements. The closest part of the rack to the vehicle is going to be here, this wheel cradle, or excuse me the frame cradle, that measures about 3-1/4" from the bumper.

Well now go ahead and pull the hitch switch here at the bottom of the bike rack mast to allow the mast to tilt down.
What our customers are saying:
"I ordered a trailer hitch and a bike rack carrier the order was shipped with in three days. To put the hitch on only took about 30 mins. only had to drill two 1/2 holes. fit like a glove."
