Pilot Truck Bed Swing Out Step Installation - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado

Today on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be installing the Pilot Automotive Truck Bed Swing Out Step, part number AS-550. Here's what our step looks like installed. As you can see, it's nice and tucked up underneath our vehicle and not noticeable when it's not in use. When we want to use it, we just need to pull back on this handle here, let go of it, and it'll lock into place because it's spring loaded. Now, we can store it to the rear or we can also store it to the front if we want. We'll put it back in the use position here and we'll show you how it works. Now, the step is useful for helping you get stuff out of your bed. You can step up on it and you can easily reach up inside your bed that's stored off to the side versus having to hop up on the back and walk all the way in.
