Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I bought this bike rack for my 2009 MDX. It is simple to use and secures the bikes tightly. Easy install on the hitch. Light weight, sturdy, and reasonable pricing makes it a great product. I would highly recommend it.
Very impressed with this bike rack. Seems well made. It came partially assembled and was a snap to put together. Well made and not too costly, a very nice carrier. I will buy another for my wife's car. Shipping was free and super fast (two days). Whats not to love?

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Solid unit; fairly easy to put together. Placing 4 bikes (2 adults, 2 kids) on rack is tight, but workable with adjustments to wheel hoops.
So far I’ve just assembled it and took a quick test drive around the block. My initial thought is this thing is perfect. It’s super sturdy and easy to use. My only gripe and it’s not fault of the rack, but it’s heavy…

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
First-time rack buyer / owner / installer. The rack arrived in a timely fashion, maybe a day or 2 ahead of schedule. It was well packaged. I’m LOVING this bike rack. It was easy to put together and to mount on my new Honda Passport. Thus far, no squeaks in my 2” receiver. Hardest part of initial set-up is figuring out the best way to position two bikes. Trial & error and some patience. The directions weren’t clear as to where the 2 left-over screws went. I found the answer in another review and have posted a pic in case others have the same problem (photo with pen pointing at screw). These screws go in the underneath side of both of the folding arms. They appear to keep the wheel wells from sliding off in case in you drive with an empty, un-folded rack, and forgot to tighten down the wheel wells. The folding arm push / pull pins can be difficult at times. I coated the tips with some lube. That and a little jiggling seems to solve that issue. I guess it’s better for the pins to be snug vs popping right out. I added a small Master lock to the hitch pin (in lieu of the provided cotter pin) as a theft deterrent. I read that a 3/16 shackle lock will fit into the bike clamp down arms to also act as a deterrent. I had an old 3/16 lock that did snugly fit and appeared to be locked. HOWEVER, I yanked on the lock and it came open as there isn’t quite enough clearance for the shackle to lock. I discovered that longer 3/16 shackle locks are hard to find. Have attached a photo of the lock that actually fits and works (Ace Hardware). One lock on the upper clamp down arm will secure both arms as the lower arm can’t be removed without removing the upper arm. The clamp down arms appear to be coated to prevent damage to your bike. I’ve tried a simple rag and ultimately settled on pool noodle pieces as a precautionary measure. I CAN NOT open my tailgate (regardless of whether or not the rack is fold up and in the bike carry position). If that’s a concern for you, then spring for the more costly titling version. My back-up camera still functions.
The Swagman XTC-2 platform bike carrier arrived very quickly from etrailer and in good shape, the actual carrier box is inside another shipper box, which I'm sure helped with its condition. Assembly was relatively quick and painless, even though the instructions could be a little more thorough. Installing the carrier on the back of our Jeep Patriot also was quick, it helps to have an extra ratchet & 3/4" socket laying around for just this purpose. Installing the bikes takes a little patience and trial and error the first time you try and put them on the carrier. It's easy enough to adjust the wheel holders to fit the wheelbase of your bikes, but for us at least, the challenge was trying to swing the vertical support bar up into position after putting on the first bike (closest to the Jeep). We couldn't angle the bike enough toward the Jeep to have the bar clear the bike. We learned that the easiest way to secure the first bike was to remove the ratcheting frame hooks altogether, put the bike in the carrier, swing up the vertical support bar, put in the pin, and then slide one of the frame hooks down on the bar. The outside bike is much easier because you can set the bike in the carrier at whatever angle you need, not being limited by the back of the vehicle. One thing we did to protect the bike frames was to use some foam pipe insulation as cushion between the frame hook and the frame (see pictures). Once you get a system for installing the bikes, it is very quick to load/unload them. The rack seems to be well made and doesn't wiggle excessively when traveling. All in all a good product for a good price, would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a platform bike carrier.

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Very good product
Check out my other review on the hidden hitch for a 2015 BMW 4 Series for the majority of the review, but this thing is great. Easy setup and install, does all the things it's supposed to do. Mounting and removing bikes is a snap with the included clips (big difference from some of the cheaper variants with nylon ratchet straps). Fits very snugly in my 2" receiver, and pretty solid on the highway and over bumpy roads.

Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Performed perfectly on a 140 mile round-trip in my 2017 Acura MDX. It took me a few tries to position the anchors inside the top of the hatch, but I got the hang of it and the rack did not shift at all while driving 50-60 mph on the highway.
Excellent quality! Bike rack comes fully assembled. Cam locks hold the upper support and the bike arms in position and are very easy to use.fairly useless included cable lock. Will only work if you always carry 3 bikes. I just used my cable lock and had no problems transporting my bike to the trails.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Fits the car well. Easy to install. However, my bike and my son's bike do no t fit the rack. They are heavy framed mountain bike with an angled crossbar and the bars on the rack are two wide to commodity these bikes. we will make due as my wife's bike fits but it is disappointing that these common bless do not fit on the rack
Fits perfectly on our Lexus CT200h. Only on the old LS400, the side straps have to be fastened to the wheel arch edge, since the upper trunklid gap is to narrow for inserting the strap hooks. Mounting of two bikes is (with some routine) quickly done, and they stay safe even for longer and faster routes. For transporting three (mountain) bikes, though, the design doesn't seem big and robust enough. Nevertheless, the price-benefit-fun ratios are way better than reasonable.

Kuat Beta Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Trailer Hitches - Tilting
This product does the little details that make it a great carrier. It has a snug adapter for the receiver that allows you to crank it tight to remove any wobbling along with others at the hinges that tighten the whole unit up solid. Very light for my wife to use. Beautifully finished, you would hate to see any scratches ever occur on it. Highly recommended.
I did a lot of research and decided this was the rack for me. I was totally correct. First, it has all the most important features but only weighs about 14 lbs. I was concerned as a senior lady with arthritis issues. I can use it well and it performed perfectly with an adapter bar for my Electra Townie. I have had compliments from several seasoned riders and a bike shop owner here at the beach who said it was great quality and I got a great price. Also purchased a locking trailer hitch pin with bike cable from etrailer. All over satisfaction with products and etrailer who provided enough videos to help me.

Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount
Works well for transporting two 29" wheeled mountain bikes. However, after one year it's starting to rust in several areas (see attached photos), and the front wheel arms are becoming increasingly difficult to raise and lower. Finally the locking cable is extremely rusty as you can see in the attached photo. I'm not sure how durable this rack will be long term.
We have had this bike rack for one year and use it every week-end. My wife has a Trek e-bike (52 lbs) and I have a regular Trek hybrid (23 lbs). The rack is very sturdy and I have no issues driving at highway speeds, there is no movement of the bikes. Very easy to load and unload.
Thule Paceline Roof Bike Rack Installation - 2009 Acura MDX
Today on our 2009 Acura MDX, well be test fitting the Thule Paceline Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number TH527. Now our Acura has a factory roof rack, so well begin our test fit by simply placing the bike rack up onto the vehicles crossbars. We need to lift it up, both cam action levers at the front of the rack, so that we can position the L-bracket on the underside of the front bar. Now there are three settings here where you can set the L-bracket to fit the thickness of your crossbar. I set it to about the second notch. Once we tighten that down a little bit, well then close down both cam action levers and move to the back of the bike rack. Ill loosen up two of the wing nuts so that I can position the bracket around the underside of the rear bar.
Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Rack Review - 2009 Acura MDX
Today on our 2009 Accura MDX we'll be test-fitting the Yakima FrontLoader Roof-Mounted Bike Rack, part number Y02103. Our vehicle does have a factory roof rack, so we'll begin our test-fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's crossbars. Starting at the front, we'll need to loosen up the large black T handles so that we can position the brackets on the front and back side of the front bar. With that in place, I'll move to the rear. We'll loosen up the black wing nut and remove the silver T bolt from the slot in the bracket so I can position the bracket around the rear bar. With the bracket in place, I can reinsert the silver T bolt into the slot of the bracket and tighten down the black wing nut to secure it. I'll move back up to the front and tighten down the black wing nut to secure the front part of the bike rack to the front crossbar.
Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Rack Review - 2009 Acura MDX
Today on our 2009 Acura MDX we'll be test fitting the Yakima Fork Lift Roof Mounted Bike Rack part number Y02098. With a factory roof rack on our vehicle we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's cross bars. Starting at the front we'll first need to remove the skewer, slide back the black cover and then loosen up the black wing nut. This allows us to remove the silver T bolt from the bottom bracket and position it around the front cross bar. Now there are three settings in which you can set the front bracket to fit the thickness of the front cross bar. I found it is best to set it to the second slot. With the bracket around the front bar we'll insert the silver T bolt into the hole of the bracket and tighten down the black wing nut. With this done I'll move to the back of the bike rack, loosen up this black wing nut and position the silver T bolt through the end of bracket and bring the bracket around the rear bar.
Thule Sprint Roof Bike Racks Review - 2009 Acura MDX
Today on our 2009 Acura MDX we'll be test fitting the Thule Sprint Roof Mounted Bike Rack part number TH528. We'll start here at the front and bring the rubber-coated steel strap around the underside of the front bar and hook it into the connection point. We'll then turn the speed link lever which will tighten down the strap around the front bar. We'll repeat the same process for the rear. Once everything is all tightened down and secured we're ready to load up our bike. We'll loosen up the AcuTight knob at the front to extend the skewer outward and then we'll undo the cam buckle strap at the back. We'll pick up our bike and place it onto the rack, sliding the forks down onto the skewer.
Rhino Rack MountainTrail Roof Bike Racks Review - 2009 Acura MDX

We'll first need to remove the black plastic cover and use the included Allen wrench to loosen up the silver bolt so that we can bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the front bar. We'll hook them into the connection points, and then tighten the silver bolt just a little bit. We'll move to the back of the bike rack, remove one of the wing nuts, position the bracket around the underside of the rear bar, insert the silver bolt through the hole in the bracket, and reinstall the wing nut. Once that's tight, we'll move back up to the front and finish tightening down the silver bolt. Now that everything's tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our bike.
Kuat TRIO Roof Bike Racks Review - 2009 Acura MDX
Today on our 2009 Acura MDX we'll be test fitting the Kuat Trio roof mounted bike rack in black and chrome, part number TR02. With the factory roof rack system on our vehicle, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack up onto the vehicle's crossbars. Starting at the front, we'll need to take the rubber coated U bolts that are on the under side of the front bar out to the pre-drilled holes at the head of the bike rack. We'll then take our cylinder nuts to thread down onto the U bolts. We'll keep those loose so that we can make adjustments at the rear. We'll move to the rear of the bike rack, remove one of the wing nuts from the black bolts so that we can position the rubber coated black plate around the underside of the rear bar. We'll insert the bolt into the hole of the black plate and re-install our wing nut. Once those are tight, we'll move back up to the front and use the included tightening tool to tighten down the cylinder nuts. Once everything is all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up a bike. With the skewer loosened up, we'll move to the rear and undo the cam buckle strap. Now, depending on what side you install the rack on, you may need to swap out the strap so that it can work for the other side.
