Best 2008 GMC Sierra Gooseneck Hitches

I would recommend saving the extra cash and buying a draw Tite. After 1 year the B&W has alot of surface rust starting and the lever to remove the ball gets stuck all the time even after coating it with oil. I had a draw Tite on my previous truck and couldn't have been happier

I ordered this hitch a year ago, customer service called me to verify the model of my truck and installed my self on a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500hd classic the hitch by far has been the best hitch I’ve owned. I have a 32 foot gosseneck I pull and it’s easy to hook up and holds the weight. The springs on the safety chains still work like it’s new and the best part is if I just need the bed I can pull the pin and filp the ball and have the whole bed

Best gooseneck hitch period. I've had and installed several over the years, for myself and others. Best working mechanism for ball release. Easy installation. Did mine by myself, using a jack stand and a ratchet strap to hold the hitch head.

Superior quality and superior service! Ordered curt p/n 16085 for my 2013 duramax. Placed order and 1 hour later I got email saying my package had shipped. Hitch has a very strong design and has a good protective coating. I found website easy to navigate and I like the videos at the bottom of page. They are very informative on the product they are reviewing. Fast shipping and and great products I would definitely recommend buying from e trailer and will be my first ace to look for future purchases. I have purchased 2 of these hitches. The first one was installed at my local shop. This time I decided to go at it myself in my garage. Super easy instructions made this a breeze. Took about an hour or so by myself to install. Love these hitches, super easy to operate and most of all with the flip over design BOOM the ball is completely gone and flush with the bed. I owned a gmc sierra 2500hd and installed a Pop-up hitch. Never again. The ball would not sit flush due to the slide arm running right into the exhaust pipe making a horrible rattlin sound when the ball was in the down position. Will never buy any other hitch but B and W again!!! Love this product.

The BW gooseneck hitch for my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 is a really nice product. When you make the purchase etrailer sends you a link to the excellent instructions and they send you a [installation] video showing installation. I installed it myself. I did everything they say to do except that instead of cutting a V-notch in the seam in the passenger side wheel well, I removed those four bed bolts and loosened the bed bolts on the driver side. Then I put a short board in between the frame and bed and lifted (with just a little leverage) the passenger side about 1.5 inches. I did the whole installation that way. When you gently lower the bed back down the four inch hole in your bed pretty easily finds the round shape of the hitch because the bed is loose. Also: do remove your bed liner and do cut a 4 inch hole in a board to help hold the 4 inch hole saw stable while your cutting the bed because that can be a bit of a wild ride. Least fun part of the job was getting the bolts tight on the forward and aft crossmembers of the hitch. It’s tight up in there. I could get my torque wrench on a few of the bolts but the rest involved a craftsman 3/4 inch box end with another wrench hooked sideways to the open end for extra leverage. (You gotta make that Craftsman wrench as long as your torque wrench so you know your getting them tight.) I’ll retorque my side plate bolts later because my frame is waxed. Those 3 bolts are easy to get too. As a side note: I’m not excited about the quality of the “in bed” 7 pole plug kit, but I’ll let you know once I get it installed and use it for a while. I’m afraid the 7 connections in the actual plug are cheap and won’t be springy enough to hold a good connection at all 7 points.

I think this hitch is great, it was kind of hard to tighten the bolts that are for the chain hooks but after a year it has held up great and nothing is loose on it. I haul our 14k equipment trailer multiples times a week and a 22k gooseneck with our backhoe at least once every two weeks in between jobs. I also use it to move our 5th wheel with an attachment and it pulls really smooth. The only thing is the dust covers won’t stay on but it’s fine I just vacuum them.

I love it. Has worked flawlessly since being installed. Install directions were good with step by step instructions that were easy to follow. If there was any one thing I would knock, it would be the boxes were pretty well destroyed when it got delivered, but that is t necessarily etrailer’s doing. Nothing was missing and all parts were individually packaged. Solid, sturdy, well constructed. Highly recommend for anybody wanting to add a puck system/gooseneck ball to there HD GM truck.

Etrailer is awesome, not so much for this product. My first and primary issue is that the safety chain u-bolts are positioned to close to the angle iron brackets to allow clearance for them to freely move up and down with the nuts installed (see photos). I can force them up from below with a hammer and stomped them back down from above. This problem is made worse due to the proximity to the ball, if I dont ensure they arent stomped down as much as possible they would interfere with my coupler when turning. I'm honestly still worried about interference if I find myself in any off camber turn. The other problem I have isnt the fault of the hitch, but now that its installed it is still much more intrusive to the bed space when folded flat than I anticipated. In the past I've had under bed mount balls, this being a work truck I thought the cheaper option would work but I regret that decision.

Purchased for a 2006 Silverado Crew Cab Duramax. Previous owner left the underbed portion of the assembly. The actual ball mount is very easy to install with detailed instructions. Plastic trim on top is sort of cheap with unreliable double sided tape from the manufacturer, which I will have to replace. I would not recommend for lifted trucks as the ball sits approx 6 inches higher than a hideaway turnover type, unless you have that much room to adjust your gooseneck trailer. Other than that, I am pleased.

After receiving the parts that were missing from the original order, the hitch was finally installed today, it took more then the 3 hours the video implied, I haven't pulled with it yet, but looking forward to it.. The company was very courteous, very helpful, shipped the missing part promptly. I will do business with them again.

Installed as easy as they said it would. Videos are very helpful. Works great!

The hitch itself seems to be of good quality, well made, and there was no need to raise the bed of the pick up. Still, when it was delivered the box seams were open, the big parts were banging around, and the plastic bag containing all the small parts had broken open and the parts strewn about the interior. The ups guy and I picked up all the parts we could find on the driveway and thankfully I only had to make a couple of trips to the hardware store to buy what was lost. Had one of the custom pieces been lost, the 2 hour installation would have stretched into weeks. As it was, without a hoist and air tools it did take a couple of days. The video on this site was of immense help as the printed instructions were all too brief. I would suggest that the video incorporate wide shots periodically so the viewer can orient to the truck before going in for close ups. Finding a 5/8" hole saw was no easy task either but I did find one eventually. As always, its never as easy as it looks on TV.

No issues with it's intended use. Works great. Installation a little tricky and directions somewhat lacking in the detail department. Took considerably longer than I anticipated. Once in, works great.

Both Cathy and George were awesome to deal with and the product is just what I need. Can't wait to use etrailer.com again. Hitch and brackets are very well made and heavy construction.
