RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2002 Ford Escape

Today on our 2002 Ford Escape, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part number RKY1014. To mount our carrier up on top of our roof rack, place it on top of our load bars. We'll fit the rubber coated steel straps at the front of the carrier around our front load bar, threading them back into the head of the carrier, and use an Allen key to tighten them down. Once we have those straps tightened down, we can reinstall our front cover. We also want to make sure that our skewer is open in preparation for loading our bike. At the rear of the carrier, we'll fit the clamp around our rear load bar and use the Allen key to tighten it down as well.
