  • What is the Difference Between the Hopkins and Tekonsha Wiring Kits for a 2007 Subaru Outback Wagon
  • Really the only difference between the Hopkins Active Tail Light Converter with Install Kit # 46255 and the Tekonsha Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite with 4 Pole Harness and Hardwire Kit # 119179KIT is that the Hopkins kit comes with Dielectric Grease and the Tekonsha comes with a Circuit Tester. The rooftop cargo box that best fits your description is the Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box # TH615. This cargo box is 16 cu ft and comes in Matte Black. It will be a little like the installation of other hitches for the vehicle, not completely the same, but the video I have linked will give you some idea of the hitch installation process on the Crosstrek. • While I do believe you are correct about the Honda bike rack being a Thule in disguise the mounting hardware # TH7533263 won't work because it will not fit the crossbars on your 2017 Subaru Outback. It is designed for Thule square bars that are 1-1/4 inches wide. In order to use the rack you have you would need this hardware kit and the Ride-On adapter # TH532. • Can Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack be Used on a 2017 Subaru Impreza with a Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver
  • I'm afraid your husband is correct to be concerned. The trailer hitch receivers we carry for your Impreza, like the Draw-Tite # DT24959, are all Class I hitches and will need an expander to fit the Yakima HoldUp for 2 Inch Hitch Receivers # Y02443. Using an expander, like the Brophy # HTAD, will give you a 2 inch receiver opening but it will also reduce your hitch's tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. That puts your maximum tongue weight at no more than 100 pounds using the Draw-Tite...

This is a Class III hitch that would have the needed capacity for carrying 4 bikes. • How to Carry a Dirt Bike Using a 2016 Subaru Outback
  • The best advice I can give you right now is to NOT use the Subaru hitch. The problem with it is that the hitch pin hole is dangerously close to the receiver opening meaning that on nearly all accessories there won't be enough of the shank in the hitch. The use of an adapter will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent so I also do not recommend that for your 2016 Subaru Outback. The other issue is the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle itself. According to the...

The hitch is installed using the bumper beam bolts. I went to the warehouse and took a measurement of this hitch. • Can a 300 Pound Dirt Bike be Carried on a 2011 Subaru Forester
  • I checked the owner's manual for the 2011 Subaru Forester and it has a maximum tongue weight rating of 200 pounds. Considering the weight of the bike alone is 297 pounds you would exceed the tongue weight capacity by carrying the bike and carrier which can lead to damage to the vehicle where the hitch mounts even though the hitch may be rated higher. You can use an extension, such as # C45791. However, using an extension will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. The benefits are many: no pressure on vehicle features such as a rear spoiler, no rack contact with your painted finish, you do not lose use of a rear wiper if the car has one, you can carry far more bike weight on a hitch type rack than on a trunk mount, you retain access to your rear hatch (it cannot be opened with a trunk-mount rack in place)...

  • Weight Distribution System With Sway Control For StarCraft Comet Trailer

The total tongue weight is the tongue weight of your fully-loaded-ready-to-tow trailer added to the weight of any cargo you place behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. You will then want to find a system where your total tongue weight falls near the middle of the tongue weight range for the system. Getting a system that is too small will be useless, but getting a system that is too big...

Basically you would need to calculate the weight of the trailer and the cargo you plan to tow and go from there. For a hitch for your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek we have the Draw Tite part # 76084 which would have more than enough capacity. • The Thule T2 Pro bike rack # TH9034XT will fit EcoHitch # 306-X7203 for your 2017 Subaru Crosstrek. However, it requires a receiver depth of 2-1/2 inches so if you only have 2-3/8 inches it would fit the muffler if that is what is directly behind the hitch receiver. The auto-pin would not be an issue if there was room for the bike rack shank. What I recommend is the Thule DoubleTrack Pro # TH9054. It requires just 1-1/2 inches of receiver depth. No auto-pin to worry about with this rack....
