I'm not sure how the OEM hitch installs on your 2020 Mazda CX-5, but the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902 requires zero trimming of the bumper. It is designed to fit around the muffler and the receiver hangs just below your bumper as you can see in the attached photo.
We actually had the chance to install this hitch on a 2020 CX-5 so you can check that out as well. If you let me know what you plan on using the hitch for I can make some recommendations for you. view full answer...
To find the correct brake light switch wire on your 2017 Mazda CX-5 you will need to use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 and find the wire that only shows power when the brake pedal is depressed; that will be the correct wire to hook up.
To install a brake controller like the best-selling Prodigy P3 # 90195 on your 2017 Mazda CX-5 you first need to install Wiring Harness # 118746 to get a 4-way connector and as you mentioned, you'll also need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer... view full answer...
To determine the brake assemblies that will fit your trailer, you would need to know your axle's weight capacity, the size of your wheels, your mounting flange bolt pattern and the inside diameter and depth of your hub. Depending on the type of brakes you want, different parts will be needed. For example, to add hydraulic drum brakes you would need a hydraulic drum brake actuator, a brake line kit and the brake assemblies.
I've left a link to our page with our selection of brakes for you... view full answer...
I attached a picture that shows the correct way to install the Lippert Jack-it bike rack part # LC429756 that you referenced. We do not recommend installing it in any different way if you are towing with it. There is a way to use it in a trailer hitch if you weren't towing but that wouldnt' work for your application. Most likely you'd still have access to the rear cargo door but it may be limited slightly. It's harder to say. view full answer...
You are actually covered by the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act which states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question. This means that unless the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11435 that you referenced is the reason that you are needing repairs on your 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata the dealer has to honor the warranty.

To tow your motorcycle trailer with you 2016 Mazda Miata you will need both a hitch and a vehicle wiring harness.
For the 2016 Miata, if you do not already have a hitch, them I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11435.The hitch will install to your vehicle without any drilling or welding required.
For a wiring harness, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness With 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # C56300 is confirmed to fit the 2016 Mazda Miata. The connector will plug into... view full answer...
Trailer tires are only rated to go 65 miles per hour unless indicated. Trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall, to handle vertical loads, that get hot enough to fail when you exceed 65 miles per hour. view full answer...
So I pulled up an online copy of your owner's manual to see if I can help you make some sense of it. One thing is for sure, the terminology is pretty misleading and can be confusing. The main takeway, I think you need to be concerned with is the gross combined vehicle rating (GCWR). It also talks about the total trailer weight (TTW) or 2,000 pounds but when you read what they define as the TTW it gets too confusing. I think you can simplify it by using the GCWR which the manual states... view full answer...
Since the Curt 4-way kit part # C24ZV plugs into the factory trailer wiring port it would put the vehicle into trailer mode when towing a trailer like you are wanting it to. view full answer...
I suggest the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 76020. When installed it won't completely prevent the sensors from picking up movement but you will need to kick at either side instead of the middle. So the feature will still function, just with a more limited kick area for the sensor. Please note the attached image.
If you will be using the hitch to tow instead of just accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier. I suggest the following items too. The T-One Vehicle... view full answer...
You will still be able to use the hands free lift gate feature on your 2021 Mazda CX-9 with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13284 installed, but you will need to put your foot on either side of the receiver and move it in and out until you find the sweet spot of the sensor.
After doing this a few times it will become second nature on where to place your foot.
I included a video of the # C13284 being installed for you to take a look at. view full answer...
Yes, we have the Kat's block heater part # KH11409 that is a confirmed fit for your 2023 Mazda CX-9. This fits in place of a frost plug which is located around the back side of the block as your facing front of car on the driver side. view full answer...
Yes, both Class II # C27DR and Class III # C38BR Curt hitches that fit your 2024 Mazda CX-50 install in the same way. I recommend going with the Class III option because it has higher weight ratings as well as a larger 2" hitch receiver so it's compatible with a wider variety of accessories.
We've actually had the chance to install this on a 2024 CX-50 so I'm linking that installation video as well as a photo of the finish product for your reference. view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 76138 is indeed a fit for a 2022 Mazda CX-5. Because the muffler on your vehicle is very large and is positioned at the center of the vehicle, it'll need to be temporarily lowered as shown in the linked install video.
It will be very difficult to lower the muffler without the rear of the vehicle being raised, so I'd recommend using a set of ramps such as # FT11909MI to provide some room under the rear of the vehicle.

Yes, to install the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24984 on your 2023 Mazda 3 you will need to remove that panel and it won't be put back into place.
Hitch instructions only mention this when the hitch either prevents the panel fitting back into place or there is excessive trimming that needs to be done on the panel for it to fit back in place so it's easier to just remove it and leave it off.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing I recommend installing the T-One Wiring... view full answer...

The Rhino-Rack roof rack for your 2022 Mazda CX-5 is a great selection that I know you'll be happy with, and it includes the parts you referenced:
46" Vortex Crossbars - # RRVA118B-2
RCL Legs - # RRRCL4
RCP Fit Kit - # RRRCP48-BK
The fit kit you're talking about installs with bolts that mount to points under the channel trim on your roof right above your doors. You don't have to modify your roof but you will need to cutout some holes for the bolts to install... view full answer...
On some vehicles like your 2016 Mazda CX-5 it has been determined that the electrical system cannot or should not handle the load from its own tail lights and the trailer lights as well so they need a powered converter. These converters like the Tow Ready Wiring harness part # C56310 get power for the trailer lights primarily from the vehicle battery. This protects the vehicle electronics. They only use your vehicle taillights as signal wires. If you ran the wire to the power source you... view full answer...
I spoke to Rhino Rack about using the Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points part # RRRVP51 on a 2019 Mazda CX-9 and they stated you must use the forward and middle mounting points. The last mounting point is only used when there are three crossbars. The crossbar spread if using the first and last mounting point would be too large for most accessories. view full answer...
Here at etrailer, we do not recommend using a wheel-mount bike rack like the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # KU64FR for bikes with fenders. The reason why is because no matter where the hooks are attached, there is always the possibility that the hook can shift on the wheel and crack or damage the fenders. The racheting hook will not be able to attach to the front fork.
With that being said, we do not carry any single-bike options that attach via frame.... view full answer...
The Curt Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # C56377 for the 2022 Mazda CX-5 attaches behind the rear tail lights. You will have to take apart your cargo area to remove the trim pieces to access the tail lights. The T-one harness plugs in line with the tail light harness so you won't have to cut or splice any wires. I have linked a video that shows the entire installation process including the removal of all cargo area trim to access the tail lights. view full answer...
