Expert Answers about Jeep Spare Tire Carrier

  • Can Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier be Used with a High-Low Adapter
  • Roadmaster recommends against using their Spare Tire Carrier # RM-195225 with a high-low adapter. For another solution you may be able to use a high-low adapter for the tow bar and carry the spare tire carrier on the back of the vehicle being flat towed. If you'd like, let me know the year, make, and model of the toad and I'll make a recommendation for you.

  • Can Ultra-Fab Folding Spare Tire Carrier # UF15-954730 be Mounted on a Trailer Frame
  • Yes, provided that the trailer frame is 4 inches square you could mount the Ultra-Fab Folding Spare Tire Carrier # UF15-954730 on a trailer frame. Since your frame is smaller (the picture looks like you started measuring at the 1 inch mark on the tape which would make it 3-1/2 inches tall and 2 inches wide) you would need alternate u-bolts and would have to modify the carrier for the alternate u-bolts. I have no doubt that the frame will handle the spare tire without any issues.

  • I spoke to my contact at Stromberg Carlson about the Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier part # TR-1 and they said that you can use the spare tire carrier on your c-shaped bumper so long as you use a block of wood inside the bumper where the u-bolts attach to give more support. The weight capacity of the bumper will also need to be taken into consideration but you should not have any issues otherwise. Please note that you will want to use a spare tire cover on the rear spare tire in order to...

  • Hitch, Spare Tire Carrier, and A-Frame Cargo Tray Recommendation for a 16 ft Casita Trailer
  • As long as can install a hitch at the rear of the 16 foot Casita travel trailer that you have the Curt Spare Tire Carrier part # C31006 that you referenced would work very well for you. I attached a review video for you to check out as well. Since you don't have a hitch yet the one I would recommend is the Curt Multifit Hitch part # C13703. This hitch can fit frames that are between 22 and 72 inches so as long as your frame falls somewhere in that range you would be good to go. As...

  • Recommended RV Spare Tire Holder for 2005 Tioga w/6 Inch Bumper Flat Towing a 2016 Jeep Wrangler
