Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at these Replacement Left Hand Brake Shoes for the Dexter 12 1/4 inch Duo-Servo Hydraulic Brake Assembly. If you are needing to replace the brake shoes on the driver's side of your Dexter 12 1/4 inch by 3 3/8 inch Duo-Servo Hydraulic Brake Assembly, identified by our item number 23-402, then these are the shoes that you are going to need. These front and rear pads use automotive grade friction materials, which are molded to the brake shoes, and the pads are fully bonded, so they're not riveted to the shoes, that's gonna give you a lot longer life and more braking torque. The shoes are also stamped L right here at the top, L for the left side, might be kinda difficult for you to see, R for the right side, and that is important, because it indicates the position that these are gonna go on your brake assembly. But another way to tell the position that these are installed is if you look at the size of the pad on the shoe, the shorter pad that we have here is the primary shoe and that will always face the front of the trailer, so that's another great way for you to know how these will be installed on your brake assembly. Now, this includes everything that you see here on the table before me, you're gonna get the primary shoe and the lining, the secondary shoe and the lining, you're gonna get two washer shoe hold downs, and two lock nuts, along with the instruction sheet.
Now, since these left hand brake shoes are the replacement from Dexter, you can trust that they are going to fit your 12 1/4 by 3 3/8 inch Duo-Servo Hydraulic Brake Assembly. Again, these are for the left hand side, if you are also looking for the right hand side, we do have those available on our website using item number BP04-270.
