Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Demco battery disconnect switch. Now, some manufacturers do recommend that you disconnect the battery on your vehicle when it's being flat towed. And this kit will allow you to disconnect the battery voltage to that towed vehicle, so there's no more dead battery when you arrive at your destination. This is designed to connect to the vehicle's positive battery cable.
Does include everything laid out here on the table. Has a nice set of instructions that'll show all the parts and how they install.Comes with this nice battery disconnect switch with the hardware to install it to your mount. Comes with the battery disconnect mount with the hardware to install that, and then this 16-inch long battery cable. Basically, after this is installed into your mount, just like that, has a little tether strap that will attach to one of the mounting bolts, so you don't lose the key. But basically, when you flip that up, that'll disconnect you and then to connect it back, just push in and twist it, and it will put it back into connection.

This switch is very convenient and works well the majority of the time. I have it installed on 2022 Chevy Trailblazer to disconnect battery during towing. It has on occasion when I switch it back on the car would have no power to the starter. All accessories will power up but the starter will not in gauge, If I turn the disconnect off and then back on it will start but I may have to do this two or three times before the starter will engage. I have checks all the cables and connections and they seem to be fine. I installed the item myself. I am a Master ASE technician. That doesn’t mean much because anyone can make a mistake.
