etrailer is the only place I could find a repair kit ( if you will) to fix a bad nutcert instead of buying the kit that includes the lift (since I already had that).
etrailer also provided good tracking information and fast delivery.

How To Remove the Nutsert Fitting From the DeeZee Tailgate Assist
If you are referring to the brass nutsert thats comes attached to the nutsert tool in the Replacement Bracket Kit for DZ43200 Tailgate part # BKT43200 you will need to use a small pick or set of needle nose pliers to remove it. The nutsert is merely pressed into the tailgate and will just need to be carefully pulled outward.

To replace the ball mount bracket portion of the DeeZee Tailgate Assist # DZ43200 you can use part # BKT43200, which infludes the torx wrench, nutsert tool, and plate. The ball mount is not available by itself. I'm not quite sure why this piece is braking on your setup. I recommend making sure that the ball mount is properly torqued to 8 foot pounds when installing it and that you are using thread lock on the threads to help keep it in place.
