Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT PowerRide OEM fifth-wheel hitch legs for the Chevrolet and GMC towing prep package. They have a 30,000-pound gross towing weight capacity. These legs will fit the 2020 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks that have the eight-foot bed and the factory towing prep package. Because they're a custom-fit part, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide. Put in your year/model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application.

Basically these legs are what'll attach to the cross-member of the CURT PowerRide fifth-wheel hitch head. That hitch head, we do sell separate on our website. It's part number C56WR. Basically that hitch head will go right in between these legs. The legs will attach to the cross-member on the hitch head.

What's nice is these legs are specially-designed to drop into the receivers in your Chevy and GMC truck's factory-installed under-bed towing prep package. Just to show you what we're talking about, you can see these tabs right here. There's one on each corner and two over here. Those are designed to drop into those receivers that are in the factory prep package. It uses a quarter-turn anchoring system, so it allows for quick installation and removal.

With these legs attached to your hitch head assembly, that'll allow you to drop the hitch into place. The way you do that, first what you'll do is remove this clip. Once you get the safety clip out, that'll release the handles. If you'll notice, these tabs right here, as you rotate the handle 90 degrees, it rotates the tab. You do the same on this one, and then you'll do it on the other side, the two on this side.

Once they're all open like this, then those tabs are lined up, ready to be dropped into the receivers on the factory system. You drop the legs of the hitch into those receivers. Once they drop into place, rotate this back a quarter of a turn. Rotate this one back and do the same on the other side. Then take your safety pin, run it through the hole, both of them, and then clip it. Once it's clipped, that'll hold those handles in place. Now your hitch attached and all ready to go. To remove it, it's just the opposite. Open the clip, open the handles, and remove the hitch from the truck bed. They do offer adjustable anchors right here. If you notice, these can be adjusted to eliminate any chucking between these legs and the factory puck system. These parts, if you notice, are a durable, textured, dark gray, teridium finish. Protects against corrosion. They are co-cured in a rust-resistant liquid A-coat. As we mentioned, the gross towing weight capacity on these legs is 30,000 pounds.
