Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to take a quick look at the 7-Pole Wiring Bracket. These are going to be really handy anytime you're mounting any kind of 7-pole wiring or round 7-pole on the back of your vehicle, maybe on the back of your RV, truck, wherever you might want to use this. A lot of times they don't come with a bracket, so being able to attach it to your hitch makes it really easy. There are two holes at the top, so you can attach this to an additional bracket, one of those universal mounting brackets. We've got a lot of those here at etrailer.com.
There's even one as a related product on the product page here. And then that would just attach with a couple of screws and nuts or nuts and bolts to that plate. It has some pre-drilled holes in the front of that as well, so it should match up with most, if not a good portion, of your other 7-poles out there, even things that are not Curt branded. So let's take a closer look and I'll give you some measurements just for reference to make sure it fits for your application. So this is just a nice piece of steel, high strength steel construction. Has a black powder coat, so it doesn't get rusty on you too quickly. Of course, paint is only good for as long as it isn't scratched.
I've got a 7-pole adapter here just to give you an idea of what it looks like whenever you have something mounted up. Now, this is a Hopkins Wiring, but you can see those four holes on the outside of that wiring, they're going to match up with the holes in the bracket, as long as I can get them to line up there. So as you can see, pretty universal, so it should work with a lot of things. There are kind of two sets of mounting holes on the front face there. So between those, you should be able to get just about anything mounted up to it or any kind of brand. As far as the dimensions, I'll give you the overall first.
It's about two and three quarter inches wide by about three and three quarter inches tall. That little flap going back is about an inch and three eighths deep. The distance between those mounting holes up at the top center to center is about two and a quarter inches. And then our holes around the outside will have a distance about two and a half .. Or excuse me, about one and a half inches, and then about two and a quarter.
And going in the other direction, probably going to be pretty similar. Yep. About one and a half, and then about two and a quarter. So it makes it pretty square. The diameter of that hole is about two and three eighths of an inch.It is cover by a limited lifetime warranty. And that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Curt Mounting Bracket for your 7-Way connector. Again, you can find any kind of other brackets to mount this to your hitch here at etrailer.com. One note that I want to give you is that you really, most of the times, are not supposed to drill straight into your hitch, so keep that in mind. You do want to get a bracket for that, so you don't cause any issues with that. I hope this video has been helpful. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Won’t work with end connection of 7 pin connector had to by one at orileys it’s holes don’t line up not even close
Hole pattern did not line up with Curt wiring harness kit I purchased. Not wide enough to be able to modify/redrill. Kind of worthless!
So, just a piece of metal in this package, no mounting hardware for wiring or for attaching to the vehicle. Also, the wiring outlet mounting holes do not line up with the bracket so necessary to drill out a wider hole. Luckily, I scrounged some bolts and nuts from the toolbox to finally mount the bracket.
Bolt holes do not line up wth 7 pin plug that was sent
Solid part but only two holes matched the 7 pin plug supplied with my Curt custom wiring kit. I also chose to drill the mounting holes larger to use 1/4” screws.
Pre drilled holes on bracket which I had to purchase separately didn’t match holes on the 7pin receiver purchased from etrailer? I had to drill new holes to match 7 pin receiver.
Didn’t fit my 7way harness. Problem has been resolved with etrailer, and the replacement part is on the way.
Worked perfectly for my 2015 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor!
Great little bracket. The only complaint I have is I wish there was a picture showing the measurements of the hole spacing.
Perfectly designed for the Ranger and a simple install.
Fast and easy
Fit easy to holes on trailer hitch. I would have paid a few dollars more for nuts and bolts to be included to save me time.
Curt Mounting bracket did not have 1 hole line up with a Curt RV 7 blade wiring harness receptacle. Had to oversize 2 holes to get them to match and drill two holes through the bottom of the receptacle mounting plate to hold everything in place.
Very nice solid bracket and it is finished very nicely.
The holes did not line up to CU86FR. Wasn't even close but drilled holes and made it work.
Everything that was provided by etrailer was excellent. The only thing that needs improvement is the installation instructions. [video] filled in the bad spots so the installation went well. Alex was great to work with.
Great price on a great product
Works well
Fit and function as stated.
High quality, strong metal.
Only 4 star because it does not come with any mounting screws.
The 7 way plug holes do not match up at all with this mounting bracket
Worked great
Great material, just double check for size on your 7-way connector.
Great customer service and products well made and always received quickly
The product is exactly as advertised and the staff is both knowledgeable and helpful. It was a pleasure doing business with them.
