AJ What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator lights. Now you can put these on a bunch of different accessories we've got them installed on our cargo carrier here today. It's a four-pole that plugs in. And then now you have lights that match your taillights on your cargo carrier or bike rack.
Let's check it out. Take a closer look at them. You see the LED lights here. There's LEDs up on the top layer, and then there's going to be a bottom layer of those. Those are going to come on when we activate our taillights or our hazards.
So we're gonna run through the functions real quick right now we're gonna hit the brake lights first. You see how it lights up a little bit brighter that way, matching the brake lights on your vehicle. Then we can hit the hazards. You don't see that bottom one light up too. You see right there, it's lighting up.
That's going to be the flashing function of it. It's right here as well. It's going to attach via a four pole. So we have our vehicle wiring here, plugged in. And you're gonna get 71 inches of cords.
That's going to be more than enough. You see me kind of bumbled ours up here beside is just for demonstration purposes, but you should have plenty of cord. And if you have access, you can roll that up and tie that off right there like that. Now we've run it down. Our cargo carrier, it's got two points to hook up. It's going to be labeled left and right. And they're even color coded. So we have the blue and the yellow. So of course plugged the yellow and the yellow and the blue into the blue. And it's that easy. We come back out here, we've got both of our lights, like I said, that mark left and right now routing the wire's up to you. We you just kind of used some things just to set up as a demonstration today, you probably want to use more zip ties for more permanent on the backside of the lights. There's also some adhesive double-sided tape. You can peel off and that's what we use to stick it. Now we use electrical tape cause we didn't want to rip off that seal on that tape today. We have them on our cargo carrier today. This is going to apply to bike racks as well. There's a lot of people online and say they don't like that their bikes are covering up their taillights and even a cargo carrier, you can stack your gear up and cover up those lights as well. Now I know that this car care has reflectors on there too, but this is going to work in tandem with your brake lights and your blinkers. So this is going to have that functionality. These are going to be way brighter, pop. That way you're gonna have less to worry about people are going to see when you're stopping or where you're turning because it's on the back of your car carrier or your bike rack the LEDs and the housing are going to be weatherproof So you won't have to worry about the elements, getting to them or damaging them. You're also going to get 24 diodes on the inside. So that's what's going to keep it nice and bright. When setting them up and putting them where you want on your cargo carrier or bike rack I would recommend also getting some wire loom from us just to keep things nice and neat on the other side and protect that wire, Make sure it's not going to be issues with cutting. It's just going to protect it for longer. Overall. I think it's going to be a very helpful thing to have on your car carrier or your bike rack, just because if you're already stacking up full of stuff or you have those bikes loaded people can't see your taillights. I'd be a little worried about that. I want people to know when I'm stopping. So there's no issues. This is going to prevent that. That does it. Thanks for hanging out. And I hope this out..

High quality product arrived well-packed and exactly as described on company web site - which was easy to navigate. ordering was a breeze, shipping was fast and delivered even faster that I had anticipated. HIGHLY recommend this company and their products.
We'll see how well the pads stick to the bike rack I attached it to over time. A little more power cord than I need for my application but I'll tuck it up out of the way when transporting bikes. The light works as advertised and shows up well in daylight and night time conditions. A little piece of mind while out on the highway.
Nice, simple setup. It is quite small though. I don't understand why there have to be connections instead of just straight cable. Also, It seems the 4 pin plug may be the weak point in this. It's fine for occasional use, but really is too small and not very bright for safety.
Mounted the lights to my 1UP bicycle rack. When I have a bike cover on, my tail lights are partially blocked. The auxiliary lights add considerable visibility. Installation was simple and quick.
Grateful to have this when needed. appreciate the versatility that it can move to a different rack or carrier with some Nylon cable ties. And keep in the car with minimal space.
Simple installation and quality materials. This light kit was used as a supplemental system on my bike rack which partially concealed the lights on our RV.
I received a defective product; the light bars are rather narrow and contain only two led banks leading me to wonder how well they will be seen.
Love the lights. I installed them on my bike carrier because I was worried that the bikes would block my brake lights from the cars behind me. I just taped them to the rack in case I want to use them on a cargo rack. Very nice lights. I’m going to buy another pair.
Very easy installation on my Thule bike carrier.
Excellent add-on for road safety.
Thanks for a great product.
already installed on bike rack, works great, just wish they were brighter
The unit I received was defective (turn and brake lights did not work on the right side). I just received the replacement you sent and it works fine. If not for the defective unit, it I would have given it 5 stars.
This is a great add on because the bike rack blocks the turn signals.
Great company. I submitted an email about which items I needed to purchse for my vehicle. I got a prompt and complete response to my inquiry. The follwing day, while placing my order I had an issue. So, I replied to the original email request for clarification. While waiting for I response I seen the customer service phone number so I called and got an immediate answer to my issue. After the phone call I placed my order. The next day I received a reponse to my email with an apology for not getting back to me due to him being off for the holiday. Then after the items are delivered I get another email letting me know that the items have been delivered not from the delivery company but the purchasing company. This company helped me and kept in contact with me, every step of the way.
Thank you for doing business right.
One part of LED's failed to work for one light not too long after using it. Otherwise, a decent product and doing what I need it to do as supplemental light. Will get another one and see if it lasts longer.
It works on my 5th wheel. I'll be mounting it to a bike rack because the rack hides the trailer's tail lights a bit. I only wish the lights were a couple of inches longer and maybe another inch wider.
Great product simple mount and plug-in application! Bought it to use on my Saris bike rack, I mounted it to the rack using zip ties, it has stayed in place and it works really well. Gives me some additional peace of mind that others can see the rack and also know when I am stopping or turning.
The LED lights were a better improvement and better cost than a safety flag with reflective stickers. The LEDs are an extension of the brake light and turning signals. Installation was easy by plugging it to the trailer connection and securing the excess wiring. The color coded connectors made it a cinch to determine the left light from the right light.
The item has arrived promptly and in good condition. We have not yet installed it, because it will need to be stuck to the horizontal bars of our rack, where the wheel cradles attach. We want to be sure that we have settled on a bike placement where the wheel cradles won't need to use the space that the lights end up being attached to. Will update and downrate if we run into any issues.
This is the second set of these that I have ordered. It worked so well on my first RV tow behind vehicle - I am going to install them on my new tow behind vehicle. The lights are very visible in the day light and especially at night. This is especially important to me as my RV's tail lights are mounted down low and are not visible from directly behind the tow vehicle when it is being towed. This time I will be mounting them using magnetic strips vise directly attaching them to the tow vehicle just because there is no good location to permanently mount them.
Great for the back of the bike rack!
They worked well and it arrived quickly.
I am miffed that Thule sells an $900+ rack with no lights in the USA. the lights are required in the EU. anyway thanks to this i am illuminated.
works as stated and very simple yet accommodating to my needs installation
LED Lights work exactly as described. Highly recommend. I used zip-ties to attach the wires to the trailer. etrailer made sure to delivery the product by our deadline before we departed on our trip.
When I attached my bike rack loaded with two bikes to the truck you couldn’t see my brake lights or turn signals. These were just what I needed and were easy to install.
