Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the replacement faring. This is going to replace the fairing on your Curt roof mounted cargo basket, as you can see on the screen there, and you can see where the fairing is going to mount right on the front of that cargo basket. Basically, this is going to help reduce the wind noise and drag on your cargo basket. So, if you have a cargo basket, you know one of the most annoying parts of the basket is just how the wind catches or goes over those bars on your roof, it creates a little bit of noise.
That's where this fairing is going to come in. It's going to divert that wind up and over the bar, so you greatly reduce that wind noise. Because this is made by Curt, you can trust it is going to be the same quality material, same dimensions, everything that you need to mount it onto your basket, to make sure that you are getting rid of all that wind noise and doing what you need to do.Overall, great replacement part it seems. Even though it's pretty flexible, I think it's going to do a good job when you have it mounted in place, it will be enough to get that wind to divert up and over. It's going to do what you need it to do.

Replaces the fairing on your Curt roof-mounted cargo basket (C18115 or C18115-117). Fairing mounts to the front of the basket to reduce wind noise and drag.The product arrived undamaged and is what I needed but it seems as if there was an error during production. I mounted my old one with the Curt lettering to the inside so from the front of the vehicle there is no logo and just a black panel. For some reason on the is on you can see a reverse image of the logo on the back side so it looks odd. I now will have to pay to have it powder coated so that does not show. The experience with etrailer however was and always is top notch.
Sierra K - 09/01/2021Overall excellent products. The curt roof rack bars were very easy to install, no tools necessary and they look great. Very nice all black finish. The curt replacement fairing for the roof mounted cargo basket is also better then the plastic one I had before. With both of these I was able to restore my cargo basket and upgrade it with these new parts.
This fairing is made of metal as the original was plastic. Plastic wore outin the arizona sun. The new one was a perfect fit and easy to install.
Shipped out fast and received it fast! We're surprised and happy that when we received it its actually made of metal not plastic like the original. Will be ordering from them again!
The replacement fairing is metal vice the OEM translucent plastic. Much more sturdy and less likely to crack as the original did. etrailer was awesome as usual when dealing with customer service. My order was delayed by the manufacturers for several weeks but etrailer made sure I received it as quickly as possible and kepte updated.
