What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. To we're gonna be checking out this pentil mount from BulletProof Hitches, and it's gonna work with your adjustable ball mounts, also from BulletProof Hitches. This is gonna be good for, if you have a bunch of different trailers, sure, you usually use the ball mount, but if you have that one trailer that has a lunette ring, or you don't need it that often, but every once in a while you might need it, you don't want to buy a whole new ball mount set up for that once. So you can get this accessory and install it in here with a pin, and then with this, in combination with your existing ball mount you have, you can pull that lunette ring trailer, so that's gonna be really handy. And you have to swap this out and you don't have to pull the whole assembly out and get a different one, and you can just buy an accessory and use your existing one, let's check it out. You'll probably wanna leave it in this position most of the time.
Run our pin through right there, slides right through. You got a clip for the other side, I'm not gonna do that right now, but I just wanna explain how this works. So you're gonna leave this set up when you back up to the trailer to that lunette ring, you get that all set up. And then to lock it into place, you bring this down. You see there's also a section here that's gonna go with this pin on the ball.
So that's gonna slide down on the ball and lock it in place, put the pin back in right there. So now you'll have your lunette ring down here and it'll be locked into place, it can't go up or go anywhere and it's gonna be around this ball. It's really easy to set up and use, now I will say, again, this is really only for use if you're only gonna tow a pentil hook hitch a few times a year. Now if you mainly tow one, clearly you'd wanna get a more pentil hook focused, or lunette ring focused ball mount that's gonna work with that. There's some other ones where there are better options out there.
So there's ones that have the auto-lock, so as you lower the lunette ring around the ball it automatically pushes this, comes out, and locks on top, that one's better for if you're pulling that trailer mainly as your main trailer. This one's better if, like I said, only a couple of times a year, you don't need it all the time. You're not gonna be too bothered by just dropping this in place and lock it in by yourself. Manually adding that block in there and putting it down into place isn't so bad and it doesn't take that long. That's why I recommend, if you only pull a lunette ring trailer a few times a years, this is probably the way to go.
You don't wanna invest in a whole other ball mount set up, or a pentil hook. Now, if you do pull a trailer, mainly that is lunette ring, I would suggest going with those options because they have other options that are just gonna make it easier to use. One of the one that comes to mind that I really liked that we worked with was the CURT Pentil Hooks, they had a better latching system. I don't have any problems with this block, like I said, it's easy to drop that into place. but on that one, one, on the backside, you could kind of back the lunette ring into a certain spot, it was aimed, you could aim for it with the truck. So as you back it into it, it would hit that, you would hear that on the inside, and then you know you could lower it down. So then as you lower it down, it's gonna hit this latch, so the latch will be flipped around, lunette ring would lower here and go around the ball, it would flip out that latch, and it would be in place. All I had to do is add that pin when I came back out here, that way, it's all good to go. It's just gonna save you some time in the long run if that's what you're doing as, like your main trailer you're pulling. When comes to the block itself, it's gonna have that black powder coat steel, so it's gonna match the adjustable ball mount, it looks like it's part of it, so I liked that, it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb or anything. And with that black powder coat, it's also gonna be very resistant to rust and corrosion. So you can leave it in your ball mount if you want to, or throw it in the back a truck when you're not using it that way it stay natural longer too. I will say that it can only be used with the two and five-sixteenth inch ball. So just keep that in mind with what set up you wanna use it with. Overall, I think it's a great accessory to have, again though, I really think it's good for if you only pull a lunette ring trailer every once in a while, it's good as an accessory. If you do it all the time, I would go with one of the pentil hooks, those are made for that situation, and have more convenience features that, if you're doing it all the time, why not save some time if you can Well, thanks for hanging out, and I hope this helped..

Use this pintle lock to turn your 22K, 30K, or 36K BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount into a pintle hitch. Lock installs directly above the 2-5/16" hitch ball on your ball mount so that you can connect to a lunette ring. When I purchased the hitch, it was my understanding the pintle hitch would work with adjustable ball mount. It does not work. They are not compatible. Otherwise, it is a excellent product.
Quick and easy transaction, speedy delivery, Keep up the great service.

This addition to the bulletproof hitch system is great. It really helps provide versatility. It is easy to use.
Easy to use. Doesn't completely close for use with straps or rings. Seems overpriced, but very well made in the USA.
This is a great addition to the Bulletproof hitch, but it can be a bit difficult to remove in some parking conditions. We ALWAYS chock our trailers. Please secure yours as well.
Very ingenious product. I can’t believe it took so long for someone to come up with such a simple product that can turn your standard hitch into a pintle hitch.
Excellent service and delivery was on time and web site was very detailed and easy to navigate
Stronger and heavier than I thought. Used the day after it arrived a d it worked perfect. So much easier than swapping out hitches all the damn time.
