Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at this Bauer Products four-way plug holder. It's a glass-filled nylon holder, that is basically just mounted to your trailer wherever you see fit. And it's gonna keep your four-way plug up and out of the dirt. So you can see it just hold it in, like that. If it we're not on the trailer, you'd see it'd just be on the ground.
Kind of dangling around. If you're in any sort of wet climate, maybe there's a puddle, it's around water, this is gonna keep it up and clean. And it's really easy to install. Let's check that out. So our installation here is gonna be pretty simple and straightforward.
We wanna mock up about where we wanna have this on our trailer. I wanna have it so that the four-way plug just kind of sits down in the top of it, like that. So I think right about here will be a good location for us. It gets all that slack up off the ground. Now, it does not come with its own hardware, so you will have to provide that yourself.
These are countersunk holes, so you'll want to get some screws that'll fit in there, and sit nice and flush. We can, for ours today, since it's going right here, I'm gonna actually use some self-tapping screws. That'll hold it in place just fine. So I'll just get one side started right now. Right about there looks good.
Okay. Once that first one's in, we can get that second one going as well. Once we've got it secure, we just pop in our four-way plug, and it's all done. That simple. And that'll do it for a look at the Bauer Products four-way plug holder. Thanks for watching..

If so I was not aware of this at time of purchase.

Probably a mismatched item. My 4-way did not fit. Kinda disappointing.
Allen - 07/05/2022Nicely made product but the inside area where you are supposed to insert your plug to hold it in place after you have removed it from the vehicle, is way to large and it doesn't in any way hold your plug securely in place so as to keep it from dragging on the ground. I wouldn't even want to give it to anyone so I threw it in the trash.
Lesson learned I guess. Its hard to believe that before selling this item that someone didn't at least check it out to see if it would do as it is supposed to do?
In all fairness it could just be that my particular 4-way plug just doesn't happen to fit this product. But I just assumed that all (flat style) 4-way plugs are the same and therefore they should all be the same size.
I tried this holder on one other trailer that I have and got the same results.
Not the product that was expected.
Suppose to protect flat plug,but only for physical damage not from the weather.
