Unit sits in the sockets in your truck bed for easy installation and removal.B&W hitches are excellent products. Unfortunately what I received from etrailer was damaged. The box had been used several times & retaped. The base was scratched & several bolts & brackets apparently were lost through a hole in the box when shipped. I have a current need, so don't have time to return it so will have to live with the scratches. Fortunately there was no structural damage. See attached photos.
Sierra K - 05/04/2022Like all B&W products, this is top quality. I upgraded my truck and the newer model had a different puck system. Purchasing this base allowed me to save around $[XX] over buying a whole new hitch assembly. With the previous truck and B&W Companion hitch, I logged 15-20K pulling my 5er with no issues whatsoever. I'm a big fan.
I changed trucks from 2019 to 2020 and of course the older hitch would not work in the new truck because puck system was relocated. I ordered a new B&W base from etrailer, it arrived as expected, fit was great, everything works. We appreciate the quick service and support.

The product arrived as promised. My only issue was with the way it was packaged. It came in a BW labeled box, so my assumption is that etrailer did not package it. The box was not suitable for shipping that heavy of an item. The item was not damaged of course because it is made of heavy gauge metal. Aside from the condition of the box when the package arrived, everything was great and it performs as advertised.
I had a little problem with UPS on the shipping with my first hitch. E trailer was very accommodating on getting a second base sent out. It arrived today in perfect condition. Thanks etrailer.

Received the hitch replacement base this morning. Just got it installed. Absolutely perfect fit and function. The old saddle fit perfectly on the new base. I recently traded our 2015 Denali HD 2500 for a 2020 Denali HD 3500. A very special shout out to Korren in customer service for helping me get exactly what I needed. Stabilizer kit missing but no issues my old B&W hitch had the part I just swap the head stabilizer. Service was great fast and a great experience thank Y’all for being so pleasant and helpful. I will recommend y’all to all my friends.

Packaged arrived earlier than expected. All in a single box. Instructions are clear and assembly takes only a matter of about 10 minutes. Would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a Fifth Wheel setup for a GM prep package.

We received the new base unit and are excited to get it installed and hit the road. We were notified the shipment of the part was delayed and thought we would no receive it until Jan. 11th, however it arrived Dec. 21. Can’t wait to get it installed and hit the road. First unit was damaged during shipping. I experienced a first class service from etrailer in getting the damaged unit returned and a new one in a timely manor. Not my first time dealing with them and definitely will use them in the near future! Fist rate company and this is coming from someone that usually doesn’t leave reviews. Definitely five stars!!

Order arrived quickly, this why I continue to buy from etrailer. The package was pretty ruff but considering there was a hitch inside it is to be expected. There was one missing retainer clip however.

This replacement base was to upgrade my existing B&W 5th wheel hitch for a new 2022 GMC 2500HD vehicle that have the 4 mounting holes sockets factory installed. As advertised, I was able to re-use the top portion of my Older Companion hitch (6 years old) which sits on top of this base and interfaces with the 5th wheel trailer pin box. This replacement base is a less expensive solution to buying a completely new hitch. Even though the packing box was a little beat up through shipping, everything came on time un damaged. Installed in under an hour.

Everything from B&W is excellent. This new baseplate has a smaller footprint than previous ones so might require a little tighter adjustment on the pucks than before.
