I have ordered a couple things from etrailer.com com now. I set them up in my browser favorites as my "Go To" trailer parts. I am not sure how big of a company it is, but the personal customer service is exceptional. In addition to just overall service, the product itself is exactly what you should expect it to be. Every item I have order as been perfect without defects. I have not found any other sites with service like this. Thanks George. 567233

Delivery was quick and electeical was just what I was looking for. Was able to mount bracket to hitch and running the wiring was easy with it all color coded. The single sheathed trailer plug was also what I was looking for and priced below anywhere else. Was very industrial and was almost an exact match to replace the existing one on my triton trailer. 553765

I really cannot grade the product as I never got to use it. The trailer where the wiring harness was needed ended up being in worse condition than I thought and got recycled. As far as customer service, you were great. 544757

I bought two of these previously and liked them so much that I bought 3 more. 16 gauge wire is way heavier than most trailer plugs/harnesses come with, plus the plugs are heavier duty and the cable is clad in heavy rubber for protection. I would buy more but I only have 5 trailers at the moment. 489442

I bought this to replace the one that came on my boat trailer. This is a good quality cable and molded connector. I'm sure that if I am careful with it , that it will last for as long as i need it. I have bought a number of items from etrailer and have yet to be disappointed. Good stuff, good service. 470969

  • Wire Gauge Recommendation to Power 20 LED Trailer Clearance Lights
LED lights don't typically draw very much amperage, but since you will be installing 20 of them on one circuit the best option is to use a heavier gauge wire like 10 gauge part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot). With 10 gauge wire you could run all of the wires in series so that you wouldn't have to run a ground wire for each light back to the junction box. So basically you'd take the running light circuit power wire and run it to the first light's power wire, and then use the ground wire of...

  • Can Trailer Lighting Be Grounded to Main Ground Wire
If you wanted to run a ground wire from each of the assemblies to the main ground wire of the trailer wiring you certainly could. 14 or 16 gauge wire would work well too since LED lights do not draw that much amperage.

  • Wiring In Trailer 4-Way to Trailer with White, Brown, Yellow/Beige and Green/Beige Wires
Your trailer wiring is pretty standard in colors so it would be pretty easy to wire up a standard 4-way to it. The colors would mainly match but where you have a yellow/beige you'd just run the solid yellow to it and the green/beige would get the solid green ran to it.

  • Is 16 Gauge Wire Adequate for Trailer Wiring for Lighting
Most trailer wiring that runs to trailer lights is 16 gauge. I would rather people use 14 or 12 unless the lights are LED which draw considerably less. But for most people 16 gauge works just fine for basic trailer lighting. If you are planning on running several running lights or just more lights in general you would want thicker wire. I attached a help article on trailer wiring for you to check out as well.

  • How to Install a License Plate Light on a Cargo Carrier for Use in California
I believe I have a solution for you, but it will require you to install trailer wiring on your 2010 Toyota Prius. For trailer wiring you will want the Tow Ready wiring harness part # 118505. This will give you a 4-way with a running light circuit that you could use to power a light for the license plate that would only come on when your headlights are on. You will then have to mount a lighted license plate bracket on your cargo carrier like the part # LPL55CB. You will run the black...

  • How To Replace 4-Way Flat On Trailer That Has 7 Wires To It
When a 4 flat connector on a trailer has 7 wires it usually means it either has extra grounds or extra tail light wires. Most likely if the extra wires are white then it is ground, if they are brown then they are most likely tail light wires. The only way to know this for sure it to test the wires for function using a 12V battery and a jumper wire.
