The module worked as expected. A previous package with all the plug play connections had failed. I installed the new module in place of the old module. Used the existing wiring harness. This time I mounted the module as high as possible in the taillight enclosure. The last module was mounted low in the enclosure- Think that is why it failed. This unit has been working fine since it was installed. Install time was about 30 minutes.

The parts are fine and the only problem is that I have been so busy that I have not finished the hook up! The trailer hitch went onto the vehicle just fine and will connect the wiring harness soon.

Easy to install, good fit. Did have to elongate one hole but nothing unusual. Tucks nicely under the car and can barely be seen.Great quality and great service from ETrailer as always.

I installed this on my 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour. I didn't receive instructions, or I may have lost them immediately after opening the package (not unheard of for me), and couldn't download the instructions on my phone or PC; but I pieced together the wiring requirements from comments on other reviews (thanks to all that posted info). I'm going one step further for any Victory owners hooking up this unit, and post the Victory connections that can be accessed under the seat in the wire bundle. This light system worked just fine on my '98 M3. I would skip the extra cost of the kit that includes some extra wire and crimps and get this kit, especially if you already have some electrical supplies. No issues whatsoever with this and relatively easy to install as per online instructions.

One year in, still going strong. Ive pulled various trailers to various places without any issue.

This wiring harness was relatively easy to install, half a day start to finish, with basic hand tools. It has worked reliably since we installed it a year ago. We have an import with a small Class I hitch and we've pulled our small fishing boat and utility trailer many times and never had any problems with the lights.

Wired up easily and has been working great ever since. Good price too.

I purchased this wiring harness to replace a similar one I had purchased in 2008. It was easy to install, and my trailer is once again working perfectly. eTrailer gave me some good advice that saved me some money too. I would definitely buy from eTrailer again. The replacement harness box was about half the size of the original which made it easier to install in a tight space in my trunk. I only had 1 minor concern: the old version had labels indicating the purpose for each wire, but they were missing on this version. These labels were helpful in the original install in 2008.

- 119179
by:

It is a quality part still going strong. Thanks

Got wiring harness in specified time. No instructions came with item. I should be able to use common trailer wiring instructions to attach this kit to my motorcycle and trailer. I will be finding out this Friday when I and a friend work on the wiring.

This product is heavy-duty & robust. It's "potted" so the electronics are hermetically sealed & protected. The wires used are high quality & heavy gauge (for this application). Simple to install but have patience routing the power wire to the battery. Stay clear of hot exhausts & suspension components as well as any hot engine surfaces. Great product!

I have ordered multiple times from etrailer and I am always happy. The prices are competitive with what you would find on amazon and ebay but you get the service here. Questions are answered and tech videos are available to walk you through an install. That is real value you can't find anywhere else. I will only do business here and I appreciate a website that can still give a personal touch in a world where real customer service is lost. I can buy parts anywhere, it's the people that make the difference.

- 119179
by:

The install was easy to complete, took about half hour total by myself. Didn't realize that some extra parts and pieces were required but it wasn't hard to get those items. Functions really well with the lights I have on my box carrier. Also love the looks that I get towing light carts with my Kia now that I can legally tow it.

Robert provided excellent customer service. He had prompt replies, a sense of urgency and great communication skills. I would purchase from etrailer.com again and recommend them. Contact Robert prior to purchasing and he will suggest the best companies to provide the products you need.

Took a bit longer & some re-configuring wiring because Ford decided to make the 2002 wagon wiring different from all other Tauruses (due to no trunk)! However, it wasn't difficult to make the appropriate changes, just a little more time. Been using it w/o any problems & and was best (only?) solution for this vehicle. Fast delivery. I'd buy it again. Happy w/product & co.

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring Harness For a 2021 Kia Sorento
The Upgraded ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119179 is a universal style harness that will work on your 2021 Kia Sorento. I recommend using the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK26FR as it is a custom fit harness for your Sorento. It uses OEM connectors for the taillight wiring rather than splicing. It also includes the wiring, connectors and fuse for running the 12 volt power wire. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT25MR is the receiver...

The 2021 model year was the first year of the 4th generation Sorento. Our hitch wiring vendors haven't yet developed a trailer wiring harness that works with the factory connectors you mentioned, and haven't determined if the harness from the 2020 model carries over. This being said, there is an available option that plugs inline between the taillight assemblies and the wiring harnesses feeding them, and would require that one wire be ran to the engine compartment to attach to the positive...

  • Is there a Constant Draw on the Vehicle Battery when the Modulite Wiring Harness is Installed
The modulite converter only applies power from the vehicle battery when the turn signals, brake lights, or tail lights are activated. When there is not a current draw on any of these lighting circuits the power from the vehicle battery is shut off at the Modulite converter, which avoids battery drain. Hooking the power source to an ignition source is not recommended because the Modulite is essentially bypassing the vehicles sensitive wiring system. Vehicles today are using such thin wiring...

Trailers use a 2-wire or combined system meaning the brake lights and turn signals are on the same circuit. A converter is needed to take the separate signals from the vehicle and combine them so that the trailer lights operating on a combined system will work properly. Wires and fuses connected...
