Installation was easy, good instructions. used this in conjunction with a Prodigy brake controller on a 1973 Chevy K20 square body pickup, replacing my original. wired using crimp on connectors, fast easy, clean. Re taped all connectors and loom. Used silicone on the back of the to seal off moisture. 694034

After a year of constant use the everything works perfect. So nice to hook up, plug in and go. Perfect.

This has worked great on my vehicle. I put a 30-Lb magnet on bracket and that gives me the flexibility to mover the connector when in use. 722127

his is the product if you do not have the trailer package on your vehicle. The 07 F150 I bought does not have the trailer towing package so I could not buy the plug and play version of this. The wire length is good so that you can easily locate the socket and still reach the vehicle's wiring harness. The instructions were good but I had trouble finding the correct lead for +battery to hook up to. Great price and delivery from etrailer as always. 690062

Product was just what I was looking for. I would like to say something more about the etrailer.com customer service if I may. I received a call from Molly with etrailer letting me know there was a slight shipping delay of one of my items in my order so if I did need it right away I could make necessary changes. I would like to personally thank Molly and the team at etrailer for going that extra mile! 766399

Although parts have only been installed less than a week this was a direct replacement for my Chevy Silverado 1500hd harness and outlet. I relocated from the side of the receiver to the bumper. Everything is provided in the kit. I used different hardware due to installing through bumper and different butt connections with heat shrink tubing because this was one of my reasons for replacing, the other being corrosion in harness to socket. 740168

As always, great product, good price, and very fast delivery! I appreciate being instructed to verify my trucks wiring, because, although I thought my 7 pin was original it turned out that my truck was only wired with 6 wires. My truck had no red wire and the yellow was used in place of it.i hooked the new adapter's red wire to my feed yellow, abandoned the new yellow wire, and I'm good too good! 647263

This was a perfect replacement for an old worn out 7-pole connector on my motorhome. This unit has a heavy guage wiring harness with standard color coding for each wire. The socket has a sturdy spring loaded cover that should keep out water a dirt. The instruction sheet includes a wiring diagram. I like that the connector socket can be easily removed from the wiring harness if it ever needs replacement. 636918

  • 7 Way Connection with Junction Box With Traditional Wiring Scheme vs RV Wiring Scheme
I have a solution for you, but we aren't going to have any 7 way connections and junction boxes that are wired with the same color wires/pin locations as the traditional wiring setups you're looking for. I recommend using the 7 way connector # 54-77-003 and hard wiring your plug the way you want it setup. You can get wire by the foot (12 gauge) # 12-1-1 or (10 gauge) # 10-1-1 and a Trailer Wiring Junction Box # 3375601100 to finish off this project. This will allow you to use the proper...

  • Recommended 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness To Install On Trailer
The Pollak 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket w/ Wiring Harness and Mounting Bracket part # PK11898 is what I recommend that you use on the back of your trailer in order to install a 7-way as it comes with the trailer connector, wiring harness, mounting bracket, and the hardware to connect the mounting bracket. The wire connectors however will need to be swapped out with part # SWC501746-1. You are correct in that you will need to splice into the tail lights on your trailer in order...

Although I can't give you the wire colors of your specific truck, I can give you the color and function of the wiring harness so you can match function to function. • Installing a 7-way Trailer Connector for an Electric Brake Controller on a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado
The wires for a 7-way connector should be under the rear of your 2001 Chevrolet Silverado already. Use a circuit tester, like # 40376, and test the wires for their function. Then you can install a 7-way like # PK11898. Or if you wish to keep the 4-way and add a 7-way use # 37185. Then you can install an electric brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195 using the wiring adapter # 3025-P.

Since your truck tail lights are working properly but you're not receiving voltage on the harness, we can isolate the issue to the 7 way wiring on your truck-specifically the left side. First thing to do is to check your vehicle's 7 way connector and make sure that there is no corrosion or dirt. If you're seeing any dirt or rust, make sure to clean it off and see if that addresses the problem. Next, check the fuse box and make sure that you don't have a blown fuse on the LH trailer wire...
