It's going to feature this spring-loaded lid that's going to help keep dust and moisture out of interior connections. It also features a two-hole mounting style. This is designed to work with chrome four-pole connectors measuring 13/16 of an inch in diameter. It's going to give us a bolt rating of 12 to 24 volts, with a current rating of 20 amps. The mounting hole diameter is going to measure a quarter of an inch.

The wiring configuration, white wire is going to be a ground, green is going to be right turn and brake lights, yellow/red wire is going left turn and brake lights and then your brown is going to be for your tail lights. That's going to do it for today's review of part number PK11410. This is the Pollack heavy-duty, four-pole, round pin socket. .

Just what I ordered and expected. My former, local source discontinued carrying the outlet which I needed for my vehicles to connect to the lighting on my trailers. Was good to find a new, reasonably priced source so I did not have to change the wiring on all my older vehicles and trailers. 278555

Product arrived on time and as described. I used this for setting up our 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara for a flat tow. Mounting hole spacing @ 2" o/c didn't match our Blue Ox 1126 draw bar so I fabricated my own intermediate bracket, polished it to aircraft tooling standards, then lacquered it before final assembly. I think the finished product came out nice. 210881

Just over one year and its still working out great! Ive fabricated several intermediate brackets much like my own for neighbors.

Ask the Experts about this Pollak Wiring

Do you have a question about this Wiring?

  • Flat Towing Wiring Kit for a 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited
  • The Tekonsha T-One # 118786 that you referenced is for activating the light functions on a trailer when towing with your 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited. It sounds like you are needing some wiring to flat tow your Jeep and for that you need some different parts. If you use the Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152 along with the Hopkins Mounting Bracket # HM48605 and the Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Socket # PK11410 then you will essentially have the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267...

  • Installing 4-way Round Connector on Tow Vehicle
  • If the 4-way on your RV is a round socket, you will need to wire the Roadmaster 4-Wire Straight Cord Kit # RM-98164 to match the wiring on your RV function for function. Since RVs do not commonly come with 4-way round connectors, it is hard to say how the 4-way is wired. You can use a circuit tester like # 40376 to test for the wires functions. If the 4-way on the RV is not round, I recommend using the Hopkins Endurance Flex-Coil Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47043. This wiring extenstion...

  • Recommended 4-Way Connection Between Towed Vehicle and Motorhome
  • The only real advantage of the 4 round over the 4 flat trailer connector is the clean look of the connection point and the protection from elements when not in use. For instance the Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Socket, Concealed Terminals - Chrome - Vehicle End # PK11410 has a clean finished look on the front of a towed vehicle and will protect the connection from dirt and debris with the spring loaded cover. Many people like the connection between the motorhome using a harness...

  • We do not have an adapter in that exact configuration for you, but we do have the parts to make your own adapter. • I'm going to assume that you have a Blue Ox coiled electrical cord, like part # BX88254, which has a 7-way for your motorhome. To replace the connector on the front of the towed vehicle you can use part # PK11410, and for the connectors on the cord, # PK11409 for 4-way and # PK12706 for 7-way. I have included a picture for you which shows each style of connector and part number.

Regarding the wiring configuration there is really no standard way of wiring a 4-Way round connector. But if you are looking at the front of connector PK11410 the bottom left is ground, top left is left turn/brake lights, top right for right turn/brake lights, and bottom right is running lights like in the video I have linked.

This is more than likely what you have now as I am not aware of there being multiple different diameters for a standard 4-round trailer connector socket.
