Good for what it is, but note that these are too short to go through, say, tie-down racks then plywood sidewalls, and into the metal framing of a utility trailer. The picture does not really show the relative length of the threaded part and the drilling part for this length screw. 114164

Worked well on my boat trailer for mounting lights on metal frame. If you have never used self tapping metal screws the secret to making the process quick and easy is to drill a pilot hole just slightly smaller in diameter than the screw threads. If your drill bits are not the sharpest in the world another tip is to start with a smaller bit and then use successive larger bits until the hole is slightly smaller than the screw. 675530

  • Parts Needed to Add Electric Brakes to Trailer and Tow With 2010 Toyota Tacoma
  • We have all the parts you need to install and use electric brakes on your 1999 Jayco and tow it with your 2010 Toyota Tacoma; since you already have a 4-flat and have the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 and Wiring Adapter # 3040-P you won't need anything else for your truck. As for the size of your brakes, there are numerous models of a1999 Jayco Heritage Manistee so I was unable to confirm the exact size you need so you will need to measure the diameter and depth...

  • Light Kit and Other Ways to Add Visibility to Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier C18153
  • For the Curt hitch-mount cargo carrier # C18153 there is no specific light kit offered but we can help you with the individual parts you'd need to install one. What you will need to do is use a light kit like # 98174LED, and then add 2 brackets # BK70BB. You will also need some self-tapping screws # FA1131822, or drill and use the hardware of your choice to mount the brackets. I noted in your purchase history that you have a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, which will need to have a 4-pole...

  • We don't have anything custom fit to allow you to install lights on your Hollywood Racks SE2 E Bike Rack part # HR1450Z-E but the part # 98174LED is an LED light kit for cargo carriers that would be the best starting point we could offer. You could use the brackets # BK70BB to secure the assemblies to the rack with self tapping screws like part # FA1131822.

  • The Solera 12V XL Power RV Awning - 12' Wide - Extra-Long 9'8" Projection - White Fade # LCV000334919-362241 will not allow you to use the Solera Screen Room for 12' RV Awning # LC362215. The longer extension will not work with the screen room as there would be additional fabric still on the roller connection point. The screen room is compatible with the traditional 8 foot extension and will allow you to keep bugs out and enjoy the breeze. It will also provide you with additional...

  • Since there isn't a specific light kit that will fit the Curt carrier # C18153, what you will need to do is use a light kit like # 98174LED, and then add 2 brackets part # BK70BB as they work with 6-1/2 inch oval lights. You will also need some self-tapping screws # FA1131822, or drill and use the hardware of your choice to mount the brackets. Also, ensure that your 2015 Subaru Forester has a 4-Way trailer connector to plug the light kit # 98174LED into. If you need to add trailer wiring,...

  • Installing a Brake Controller in 2001 Toyota Tacoma
  • Based on my research, the 2001 Toyota Tacoma did not come with a factory trailer connector. However, since you already have a 4-way connector installed on your truck, you will be able to start here for your brake controller installation. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller with a digital display. It will level automatically when mounted within a 360-degree vertical range. The brake controller installs in your...

  • Is a Light Kit Required When Using a Cargo Carrier Like the Curt # C18153
  • Adding a tail light kit to a cargo carrier like the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18153 is a great idea for better visibility, but isn't required unless the cargo that you are carrying happens to cover your tail lights. If this is the case then I recommend using the Tail Light Kit # 98174LED, along with 2 Brackets # BK70BB using Self-Tapping Screws # FA1131822. This kit will plug into the 4-Way connector at the rear of your 2014 Honda Pilot. If you do not already have a 4-Way connector...

Just line the screw up where you want it through the Loom part # A0500 and let the drill bit end of the screw drill the needed hole and the threads will pull it through and secure it.

  • Recommended Trailer Connector and Wiring to Add 7-Way Trailer Connector to 4-Way for Reverse Lights
  • For your reverse lights on your boat trailer, I recommend you start with converting the 4-way you have into a 7-way trailer connector. I recommend the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector # 30717 for this. You will simply plug in your current 4-way and then connect the white wire with the ring terminal to your frame bare metal to metal using # FA1131822. • What Screws To Use When Installing E-track To the Side Of Aluminum Trailer Frame
  • Zinc plated screws are going to be the best option for use with aluminum to resist galvanic corrosion. This corrosion you are referring to is from two dissimilar metals reacting so you want to use the most similar metals when installing your E-track to the side wall aluminum frame trailer. It is always safest to add a rubber or sealant to keep the metals as separate as possible even when they are compatible metals. Many times self tapping screws like # FA1131822 are the best solution.

You would then need two brackets, part # BK70BB. To attach the brackets to the carrier you will need self-tapping screws like part # FA1131822 or you can use other hardware to mount the light brackets. • Trailer Warning Lights Flash in Vehicles Message Center
  • The trailer warning lights flashing in your message center sounds like either a ground issue on the trailer or a corrosion problem between the trailer connectors. I would first start off by disconnecting the trailer connectors and using a bit of electrical spray to clean the pins. Once done, I would also use a bit of dielectric grease like part # 11755 between the two connectors before mating them back together to prevent future problems. Before you move onto the trailer wiring, I also...

  • Trailer Fender Installation Clearance and Mounting Project
  • Thanks for the photo. Honestly 5 inches of clearance from the fender to the top of the tire is fine if that is what you desire. We normally recommend 4 inches to allow for the suspension travel whether with leaf springs or torsion axles to allow enough space so you won't have contact between your fender and the tire. Based on your photo it appears there is a bend in the fender, so I'd personally drop the fender down a little more which would relieve that binding. I'd adjust it...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring on 2015 Honda Pilot

I recommend starting with the relays and the best way to determine if one is bad is to replace it with one you know works. Once you have determined the relays are good, then I recommend checking the plug connections on your harness. Each connection should be clean of corrosion and debris and have dielectric grease like # 11755 to keep moisture and debris out. Then if you are still lacking...

  • Recommendation for Attaching Aluminum Diamond Plate Flooring to Utility Trailer
  • To attach the aluminum diamond plate to the floor of your utility trailer, you can use self-tapping screws like # FA1131822 or something longer depending on how thick the aluminum is. I recommend using one about every square foot if possible. These particular self-tapping screws are 1-1/4 inches long and have 1/4 inch - 14 x 3/4 inch long threads. If you will be attaching the diamond plate to the metal grate on your trailer, you will need some type of anchor or lag bolts.

  • Hardware for Securing E-track to Wood Trailer Floor
  • The # TF01150 screw is meant to fasten a wood floor to a trailer, it wouldn't be my choice for attaching E-Track to a wood floor. I'd use 1/4 inch diameter lag bolts whose length is a bit less than the thickness of the floor. How many bolts you need would depend on what you're using the E-track for. I'd probably want a bolt fastening the track about every 12 inches or so, maybe closer together for a heavier load. Use a self tapper like # FA1131822 to attach to the steel floor supports.

  • How to Make Best Ground Connection for Re-Wired Boat Trailer
  • It does sound like your new trailer wiring needs a stronger ground connection. If the coupler and frame are both steel you can use one of the coupler mounting bolts to secure the ground ring terminal for your main wiring harness but you may need to sand off any primer or powder-coat to allow for a bare metal to bare metal connection. This bare metal contact is necessary for a trouble-free ground. You can certainly use a self-tapping screw like # FA1131822 to secure the ground. You can...

  • Self Tapping Screw Recommendation for Installing Exterior Light on Trailer
  • Self tapping screws like the part # WLS100 which has a Torx head or a part # FA1131822 which is a hex head style bolt would work well. We don't normally see people seal the lights to the trailer as most light assemblies are a weather proof or waterproof design and don't require it. For a sealant we recommend the # 0160297 for sealing trailer roof vents. This would work well for a light assembly as well.

  • Troubleshooting Optronics Uni-Lite LED Clearance and Side Marker Light Not Coming On with Aux Switch

You will want to run a wire from the positive terminal on the vehicle battery to the auxiliary switch, then from the switch to the first light, from the first light to the second lights, so on and so forth. The easiest way to connect all of the lights to a...

Or another option would be to drill from the backside, if possible, so you can avoid the wiring for sure. Or another option would be some type of anchor bolt or screw but that would still require drilling.

The Stromberg Carlson jacks are more than enough capacity for your 2019 Aspen Trail 2480RBS trailer because scissor jacks do not lift the trailer like landing gear jacks do.
