Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Hopkins heavy-duty emergency snow shovel. This aluminum heavy-duty shovel is going to help you clear away snow during winter emergencies. I do wanna let you know that the color that you get may vary. I have this kind of a dark green color, but you might get an another color instead of this one, maybe like a blue one or maybe another color. There's no way to actually choose the color that you want.

It's gonna be based on what is chosen when this is shipped to you out of our warehouse. So just because I have a green one here doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna get a green one. So just be aware of that. This shovel blade, as you can see here, attaches to the end of this handle to form a basic shovel to help you easily scoop up and hold the snow to get it out of your way. And the handle extends up to 30 inches long for ease of use.

So let me go ahead and just confirm that measurement with you. Measuring from the bottom of our blade all the way to the top of our handle, you can see there we're sitting right at 30 inches long overall. And then a really cool feature that this has is you can remove this shovel blade from the handle by pushing that button. That's going to allow you to pull this off. And then you can attach it to the handle and then just secure it, pushing that button in, and then it locks into place.

And let me go for a wide view here. And then this is going to allow you to easily dig your car out of the snow. This is going to help you remove snow from underneath your vehicle. You might be tempted to use this to clear snow off of your windshield off of your car. I would advise against that.

This is aluminum as I mentioned, so this could easily scratch up your car and your windshield. So just be aware of that. But this is a really great feature to help you dig your car out. And then when you're ready to transform it back to a regular shovel, you're just going to push this button again and that's going to allow you to remove the blade from the handle and then just put it back down at the bottom of the handle. Then it secures into place and you're back to normal shovel mode. Now this does collapse down for easy storage. So I'm gonna go ahead and push this button down here and that's going to collapse my handle. And I'm gonna push this button here to push up the blade and then push this button here. So that's what it looks like when it is fully collapsed in the most compact form. And again, measuring from the bottom of our blade to the top of our handle, it collapses down to about 17 inches. So quite a difference when you have this fully collapsed. And then this could fit underneath the seat of your car or in your trunk or in your cargo area. So it's gonna take up hardly any space whatsoever. So this durable aluminum construction is going to do a great job of resisting corrosion. It's going to hold up really well against the elements. And so even if it's a little bit damp when you put it back in your car, you're not gonna have to worry about it rusting or anything like that. So here it is back in when it's fully expanded. So overall, I think this is a great addition to have in your car, especially if you're in an area where you get heavier snows during the winter season.
