Video Transcript for DIY 2020 Chevrolet Traverse Installation for the Michelin Stealth Ultra Windshield Wiper Blade

Hey everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look at the Michelin Stealth Ultra windshield wiper blades on our 2020 Chevy Traverse. Now these are a hybrid style blade on here. As you can see, we have a very good nice hard cover at the top here. One thing I like about this as you can see, it does actually split in a couple of different hinges, which can be good about this, as this actually contours to our windshield.

We're gonna get multiple points of contact on this whole thing. So hopefully, we're not leaving any gaps as we're squeezing, as we're actually getting different points of pressure throughout the entire blade. Make for one nice swoosh. So, let's go ahead, take a look to have them get them installed. Now insulation's gonna be pretty straightforward.

Now I recommend definitely picking up either a towel or a foam block that you can actually go ahead and throw underneath this blade here. As you can see, once we do take this off, we are gonna have this metal frame. It is spring loaded, so we don't want that crushing down and cracking our windshield doing any kind of damage to our car. So let's make sure we have something protecting us and a nice steady hand as we take this off. Now, this is when things get a little different at home.

Now these windshield blades are usually pretty easy to take off. Today, we just have a simple little tab here that we need to pop off. And now we do have a J style hook with us today. So to take that off, all we have to do is simply walk that down and right off. As you can see very easy to take off, and this is our J style, so we're gonna go ahead and use our J style adapter.

Now that normally does come included with you on these wipers. As you can see, we have one installed here already, however Michelin does go ahead and throw in a couple of different adapters, however, I think most of us are gonna be working with these J styles. So let's go ahead and take a look at how to get that on. Now as I mentioned before, we do have this pre-included adaptor here, and what we're gonna find is this curved edge on here in the middle, and on the inside you can see we have a nice circle round mount for it to actually clip to. So let's go ahead and slide that on, just getting those up, sliding this through, and then just going till we snap. As you can see, gonna hold itself in quite nicely there. Getting a pretty good rotation here. It's gonna be good if we have any angle or other, we can get these tucked up and away, not getting ice on our windshield, so it's nice that that can spin. And look at that. We're ready to wipe. Now when you're on the passenger side, now keep in mind, this is gonna be a shorter blade. Today we're only using the 20 inch ultra stealth here. As you can see, it's gonna be the same thing for the installation. Gonna go ahead and pop this tab up. It's gonna be a little finicky on me. As you can see, and then we'll just slide that right out like we did the other side. Removing that J style and taking the same adaptor on this end and see that those rays mounts are over on this side. So I'm gonna flip it around. Get our J style tucked up and just walk it right on as you can see. Not coming undone on its own, and we're ready to wipe. And as you can see, it's doing a really good job. I'm not seeing any streaks. I'm not seeing any gaps so we know those hinge flanges are working really really well. I really like how these hinge flanges actually work. As you can see, in our demonstration with just our wiper fluid, you can see it was doing a really good job of getting all those points of contact. I think it was doing a good job of just kind of getting enough pressure just to make sure we're no leaving those little bit of residue that you might leave. So, I think it's a pretty cool option. Well I think that about does it for a look at the Michelin Stealth Ultra windshield wiper blade on our 2020 Chevy Traverse. I'm Bobby, thank you for watching..
