My wheel chock was received quickly and I am well pleased with the construction and appearance. I plan to add small wheels to allow winching a 650 pound bike up a tilt trailer without it turning over. Time will tell; and allow multiple uses for my existing trailer and eliminate a significant injury hazard. 697726

I purchased two of these, quality is about what you'd expect for $74.95 each. Assembly is straight forward and take just a few minutes. The "feet" are difficult to tighten due to the bolt size verses the access. One of the tie towns threads was nearly stripped and it wouldn't tighten. Since I need these now I didn't have time to worry about replacing it so I just used a high speed cutting wheel to remove an end cap, welded it internally and re-welded the cap. Do not over tighten the front support bar as you can crush the metal easily ... I used some over sized 3/8" washers to create more contact for the metal and spread the load. 177839

I ordered one MT702701 wheel chock from Strainer and to my surprise the item arrived two days later. They gave me an upgraded shipping without my having to pay extra! The product is well constructed and made from a thick gage metal. Needless to say, I ordered a second unit which arrived the following day after placing the order. I have a newly constructed trailer with a great deal of goodies and theses chicks are apart of that! I definitely recommend the product! 453369

Wheel chock and other items arrived as expected. The wheel chock was easily assembled, but did not include washers which I furnished. Installation in my trailer was also easy. I would recommend this product. 362240

I gave one of their representatives the tire size and told them that I have duel rotors on the front wheel of my motorcycle and want would be the best fit for a wheel chock. They gave me Item MT70271 and EMO5729. I had them express deliver so that I would have time to mount it on my trailer. It was a great, the easiest to assemble and mount and had plenty of clearance for the tire and rotors. It was simple who ever designed this item had a lot of thought put into it to work so well. Great help and product . Thank You again. Louie 656565

Worked out perfectly for taking my motorcycle to the track. Holds the motorcycle securely. The uprights can be removed easily, so that I can use my trailer for hauling other stuff.

I bought this item or my new trailer I just purchased. I really didn't want to mount it. However, with a brand new HD Ultra Classic, I felt I was best. The product led it to its reviews and I am extremely happy with the purchase. Trailer was just the ticket. Should I ever need other products, "etrailer" will be my first stop. 484960

Too big and heavy, slides on ground too easy when putting mcy on or off. Is stable and would probably work very well if bolted down. 466019

Ask the Experts about this MaxxTow Wheel Chocks

  • How to Secure a 2018 Harley Davidson Tri Glide to a Trailer
In order to secure your 2018 Harley Davidson Tri Glide I recommend using the MaxxTow Adjustable, Self-Locking Wheel Chock part # MT70271 for the front wheel so long as it is not greater than 22" diameter or 5" wide. Then in order to secure the two rear wheels I recommend using an e-track system which is composed of the Erickson Horizontal E-Track part # EM19147 and the Erickson Adjustable Wheel Net with E-Track Fittings part # 77314. You can also add the Erickson E-Chock Wheel Chocks part...

  • Wheel Chock Recommendation for a Honda Goldwing 1800
It looks like the front tire on your Goldwing is a 130 width meaning it is just a little bit over 5 inches wide. That would be just slightly too large for the MaxxTow Adjustable, Self-Locking Wheel Chock # MT70271 which accepts tires 3 to 5 inches wide. There is a similar option for wider tires, # MTMWC-01R, which will take a tire up to 7-1/8 inches wide. There isn't a backing plate that comes with it or a specific one designed for it but I do recommend using one such as # BPEZ since...

  • Recommended Wheel Chock and Tie-Down System to Secure 2017 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra
Yes. The MaxxTow Adjustable, Self-Locking Wheel Chock part # MT70271 for the front wheel will not work because the factory tire is 5.2 inches wide and that chock will only fit up to 5 inches. I recommend instead using the MaxxTow Adjustable Wheel Chock with Pivoting Bracket - 7-1/8" Wide Tires - Powder Coated Steel # MTMWC-01R. I recommend using the Erickson Motorcycle and ATV Tie-Downs w Soft Ties and TCS Buckles - 1"x6' - 400 lbs - Qty 2 # EM05729 to secure your bike in the wheel chock....

  • Recommended Wheel Chock and Tie-Downs for Transporting a 2015 Suzuki Burgman 650
For your 2015 Suzuki Burgman 650, the wheel chock I recommend for your 21.6 inch diameter and 4.7 inch wide tire is the MaxxTow Adjustable, Self-Locking Wheel Chock - 15" to 22" Wheels - 1,800 lbs # MT70271. This wheel chock will hold your tire front and back nicely and doesn't have the side bars that could interfere with your dual rotors. • Wheel Chock Recommendation for Harley Davidson Street Glide with 5-1/2 in Wide Tire
I have a better solution for you that I can guarantee will work. Check out the MaxxTow Adjustable Wheel Chock # MT70075. This can fit tires up to 5-1/2 inches wide and would work well for you so we would recommend it for you. I attached a picture we got from a customer that shows it being used on a similar Harley as well. Even though it's only 1/2 inch difference I can't recommend the # MT70271.

  • Mounting Hole Dimensions of Maxx Tow # MT70271 Wheel Chock
The attachment hole spacing is as follows: Font to back, the holes measure 2-1/4 inches apart, measured center to center. From side to side, they're right at 9-1/2 inches. I'm not sure what you meant by 'bad spot'. If you mean that a portion of the floor is damaged or deteriorated, I'd highly recommend you repair it before bolting the wheel chock in place.

  • Motorcycle Wheel Chock Recommendation for a 5.9 inch Wide Motorcycle Tire
The overall diameter of your tires is 19.5 inches and the width is 5.9 inches. The part # MT70271 can accommodate tires up to 22 inches in diameter and 5 inches in width so your tire would be too wide. The only wheel chock option we carry that would work is the part # TWSPWM that can accommodate tires up to 6-1/2 inches in width. Check out the review video I attached for more info. For a set of tie-downs you could use the part # EM05710.

  • Can Wheel Chock MT70271 be Bolted to Plywood and Put in Trailer as Needed
My Dad used to have a wheel chock setup for his trailer that was two wheel chocks bolted to a larger piece of ply wood that he would set in his trailer when needed. He then used straps to secure the handlebars of the motorcycles to the trailer through eyelets that were bolted to the trailer frame. This worked well for him and would work well for you as well.
