The Lockrack SUP carrier lets you transport 1 stand-up paddle board on your roof rack crossbars without the need for load straps. The rubber-coated arms can be adjusted to the width of your board and ratchet into place for a secure hold. Once they are set, the arms lock into place and can only be removed with the included keys, ensuring your gear is safe and secure. Because a single person can quickly and easily load a SUP onto the carrier, and since load straps aren't necessary, you'll spend less time loading and unloading your board and more time out on the water.

Quick, Strapless Loading with Ratcheting Arms

Loading a SUP onto the carrier is easy for one person to do. With the inner arms already installed, simply set your board on the carrier's base, making sure it's pressed against the arms. Then just insert the outer arms into the carrier and ratchet them down so they're sitting snuggly against your SUP. Once fully locked around your SUP, the ratcheting arms' curved design creates a lateral and downward force, ensuring your board is secure and won't slide around. And because of this design, you don't have to use load straps to secure the board to your roof.

To ensure your SUP isn't damaged during transport, the ratcheting arms are covered with a rubberized sleeve. This rubber-coating flexes against the sides of your gear to protect it from scuffs and scratches, while still providing a secure hold.

For longer gear and longer trips, we recommend using bow/stern tie-down straps (sold separately). Because the carrier holds your gear in the center, the bow and stern can be subjected to damage caused by high winds. The bow/stern tie-downs provide additional support to help protect against this type of damage.

laying flat

When not transporting your gear, the carrier's arms can be secured flat against your crossbars. In this position, the carrier adds less than 2" of overhead height to your roof rack crossbars. This means you won't have to remove them when pulling into your garage.

Integrated Locking System

Four locking points secure the ratcheting arms and your gear to the carrier. When you ratchet the arms down, they lock in place and can only be removed with the included keys, giving you peace of mind when you're away from your vehicle and gear. For added convenience, the keys hook onto your key ring.

Easy Installation with Universal Mounting Hardware

The rack installs quickly and easily with universal mounting clamps. Simply set the rack on top of your crossbars, attach the bottom portion of the clamp, and tighten the clamps down with the included tool.

To install the rack directly into the top channels of your crossbars, attach the T-bolts instead of the mounting clamps. Then just slide the rack into your crossbar's channels and secure it using the included socket wrench. To access the carrier's mounting hardware, simply remove the rubber strip on top of the base.

Video Transcript for Lockrack Stand-Up Paddle Board Carrier Review

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Lockrack stand-up paddle board carrier for one stand-up paddle board, Part Number 339LRSSUPSETA. This Lockrack watersport carrier enables you to carry up to one stand-up paddle board on the roof of your vehicle. This is a pretty unique carrier too, because unlike most of the other stand-up paddle board carriers out there, this doesn't require any straps of any kind to hold it in place, because of the ratcheting arms that push into place and hold it steady for your trip.Once the ratcheting arms are pushed into place and locked in, that's what's going to keep it from shifting back and forth, and that is why you don't need those extra straps to tie everything down. It is going to make contact at four points with your stand-up paddle board at each of the arms. Also to help protect your stand-up paddle board, is this thick rubberized padding at the base. It's also kind of treaded here, so once you've initially installed, it's not going to shift back and forth while you push the arms in.When loading up your stand-up paddle board, you want to make sure it's no more than 34" wide, and this does have a carrying capacity of 175 pounds.

I seriously doubt you're going to be putting 175 pounds of stand-up paddle board on there, but keep that in mind, especially with the weight ratings for your vehicle. Since this is a side loading carrier, you can either situate it closer to the passenger or the driver's side, as needed. And depending on the length of the bars and the width of your roof, you can either place another stand-up paddle board carrier next to it, or, such as this case, a bike rack. Now in some cases you may not be able to open the rear hatch like this one, because it will make contact with the stand-up paddle board. That may vary from vehicle to vehicle, just be careful while you're opening it up. Another feature about this rack is once the arms are pushed into place, they're locked into place.

To release them, you're going to need one of the four keys, and these do come with little loops on the end of them, so you can attach them to your keychain if need be.To unlock it, we'll push the lock into place like so, and there are indicators to let you know when it's in the unlocked position. And in this case, we may need to push in a little bit to turn it like so. That'll release it from its point. And to put in place, you simply push it and it's ready to go.Now we've gone ahead and removed the stand-up paddle board to show off some additional features. Once it is removed, you can fold the arms flat and push them in, as they do a have a catch on the side here.

So while you travel, it's going to help reduce that drag. We also removed the stand-up paddle board to better show how this is attached to your existing roof rack.Right now we're utilizing the channel mounts for this particular roof rack system. But if you we're to have square, round, or factory crossbars that don't have channel mounts, this does come with the option of having a clamp style attached to those as well, since this is a universal mount. We do have just channel mount versions of this rack, which you can find on etrailer.com the base of this rack is made form aluminum, so it's corrosion resistant and it comes with all the hardware necessary to install this onto your roof rack.Next, we're going to give you a couple overall measurements. With it retracted, in use it's going to be 27-1/2" long by 9-11/16" tall by 5-1/2" deep.

With it expanded, the overall dimensions are going to be 41" long by 9-11/16" tall by 5-1/2" deep. When comparing this with other products, one that comes up is the Rhino Rack stand-up paddle board and surfboard pads with tie-downs. The biggest differences between these two is the fact, of course, that the Rhino Rack does require tie-downs to strap everything down to the roof of your vehicle, while the Lockrack does not. However, between the two, the economical is definitely going to be the Rhino Rack, which is considerably less expensive than the Lockrack. However, with the Lockrack, you do have that peace of mind of once those arms are pushed into place, your stand-up paddle board is not going to move. Also, the Rhino Rack is rated for both surfboards and stand-up paddle boards, but with the Lockrack it's strictly stand-up paddle boards. Now that we've gone over some of the features of this, let's go ahead and show you how it installs. We have all the pieces that come with this, as you see it right now. But the first thing we want to determine is are we going to be using the channel mounts, or are we going to be using the clamp style mounts In this particular case, we are going to be using channel mounts to slide these into place, so we're just using these two portions here. So our clamps can be pushed off to the side.So our first step is we're going to remove our pads on both sides here. You'll see that there's two mounts, and this is what we're going to be using to install our channel mounts. So our first step is we're going to take off the nut at the top here. Then you want to make sure you take the screw . You put it through the bottom like so. But you also want to leave enough space in between the spacer and our channel mount here, so you have enough space to slide those into place. You may have to unscrew it just a little bit to ensure that'll happen.Once we have those in place, we'll loosely install those nuts back on top, and then we can move on to our roof rack system and start installing it. Now, when you're going to be utilizing the clamp system with this, it's very easy to install as well. You take the clamp itself and the included tool, and then you completely loosen up one side and just slightly loosen the other. Now you see the hole at the top here. We're going to remove the pad underneath, then we'll move on to what was our channel mount. We'll remove the screw at the top as well as the spacer, and push that into the bottom and reinstall the pad. Put the spacer back on top, and then install it like so. Then we'll tighten down the nut and repeat this for the other side. All right, so we'll take our channel mount here and start to guide it in like so. And we'll just push that into place. And then we'll push this into place until it's even with our front base. Now we'll take our included tool and tighten down that nut until it's nice and tight and it's not going to move or slide back and forth. We'll do this on both sides. Now we'll take the arm on the passenger side and we'll push it in to the first rung here. With our arm on the driver's side installed, now we can take our pads that we removed and put those back in place. And these should just push into place, and they have cutouts on the bottom side for where our bolts stick out.Now we can take our stand-up paddle board and lift it into place, making sure it's sitting evenly on our pads, and is even front to back as well. And also note to think about when you're installing this is, you want the top side facing down and the fin facing forward. So our next step, once the stand-up paddle board is installed, is we're going to take our one arm, we're going to push it into place so it makes contact with the hull on both sets of arms. Then we'll go to the other side and repeat that process.Next, well take our two arms on the passenger side and start installing those as well. We'll get them snug at first, up to both side of our hull, and then we'll push in as far as we can go to make sure it's nice and tight in between the two arms. And there you have it for the Lockrack stand-up paddle board carrier for one stand-up paddle board, Part Number 339LRSSUPSETA.

Watersport carrier holds 1 SUP with rubber-coated, ratcheting arms - no need for load straps. Integrated locks secure your board to the carrier. Includes clamp-on and channel mounting hardware.

Couldn’t be easier than this. I bought it and drove 2000 miles from Minneapolis to Phoenix through Yellowstone. This exceeded my expectations. The only thing I hated - that it got dirty from bugs. Seriously though if you have a paddle board you NEED THIS. I turned heads at Yellowstone. 884500

Noah was able to suggest what SUP cashier would fit best with my roof racks. The lock racks were easy to install. Thanks 837015
