2000 Toyota Tundra - T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector

  • Custom Fit
  • Trailer Hitch Wiring
  • 4 Flat
  • Powered Converter
  • Tekonsha

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Toyota Tundra with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system.

  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires
    • Locate connection point along frame rail
    • Plug in connector
    • Plug in fuse holder under hood
  • Includes ModuLite to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer
    • Powered module connects directly to battery to avoid overloading vehicle's electrical system
  • Constructed of 16-gauge bonded wire
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector

  • Maximum amperage: 7.5 amps per circuit
  • 1-Year limited warranty

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located at the rear, along the driver's-side frame rail. Once you've plugged in the tow harness connector, locate the gray connector between the truck's battery and the fender at the front of your vehicle. Plug in the fuse holder wiring harness. Then attach the ring terminal at the opposite end of the harness to the positive terminal on your truck's battery. Insert the included 10-amp fuse into the in-line fuse holder.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - 118367

Average Customer Rating:  5.0 out of 5 stars   (9 Customer Reviews)

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system.

The product arrived fast as I needed it ASAP. Great fit with easy instructions. I was at the Toyota dealer service department getting other items fixed like the evap system. I asked them to install the part. They said, plug and play with one wire at battery, Yes. So they broke the pigtail clips on my vehicle and pulled out a wire on the connector. Now my left turn fast flashes every time I apply the brake. WTF,,,, So now I have to order the special connectors from connector experts, wait three or four days, then hard wire in the new connectors. My dealer service department broke four things that day by just trying to set computer to clear code. I could go on and on with the other three items but don't want to waste your time. You folks are top notch perfect number one in my book. I have recommended you to several folks and to the Panhandle Trailer Service in Scottsbluff NE. Thanks again.

Installed on a 2000 Tundra. Easy as can be. The truck already had unused factory connectors at the battery, and under the bed at the back on drivers side. Take the protective caps off them, hook these up, and secure the module to the back of the truck body underneath after cleaning it. Connect to battery hot terminal. Secure all using some zip ties (provided). And==> DONE.

Ordered on a Monday night, sitting at my doorstep Friday.

Great products and service, as usual.

Both harnesses are well made and fit correctly. Instructions were clear. Vary satisfactory. Units replaced a older one piece harness the was malfunctioning.

Everything went great. Good instructions, product build was right, wiring harness went on just like the vids.

Excellent service.

Product worked as advertised. Very easy installation.

Everything is still working great! Cant beat it for the price. Have a great weekend.

  • Where is the Power Wire Connector for the Wiring Harness # 118367 on a 2000 Toyota Tundra
The wire should be there on your 2000 Toyota Tundra, you will need to slide the battery over and look between the fender and the battery tray. I attached a picture of where it will be located to the right. It may have slipped down further than what is in the picture so you might need to look past any wiring harnesses there to find it. That we are aware of every model of the 2000 Toyota Tundra should have this connector. It should be just a matter of looking hard enough to find it as it...

  • Comparing the Trailer Wiring Harnesses for a 2000 Toyota Tundra
Tow Ready/Reese has determined that the best way to add a harness, # 118367, to a 2000 Toyota Tundra would be to have an additional connector that is circuit protected and grounded up near the battery. This is more like how a factory harness would be. The Hopkins harness, # 43365, omits that part. The harness still works it is just not as protected as the Tow Ready harness. If I has to choose between the 2, I would spend a little more and get the added protection of the Tow Ready harness....

  • Recommended 5-Pole Flat Connector For A 2000 Toyota Tundra
We do have an option for you. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118367, will provide your 2000 Toyota Tundra with a 4-pole flat connector. Once you have this connector installed you would add the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter, part # 20036. This adapter plugs to the 4-pole flat and the reverse wire gets spliced in with a quick splice wire connector. I have included product description links and video demo links below.

  • Running Light Circuit on Output Side of Curt Wiring Harness Has No Power on 2000 Toyota Tundra
Use your tester to test the brown wire going into the converter for wiring harness # C55367. If there is no power going into the box then there is an issue on the vehicle wiring. There could be a blown fuse for the trailer running lights. Use the vehicle owners manual to find if there is a fuse for that function and its location. If there is no fuse for that function or if there is power going into the converter but not coming out then that indicates a problem inside the converter and...

  • Will Curt Trailer Hitch 13184 Interfere with Spare Tire on a 2000 Toyota Tundra
On a 2000 Toyota Tundra Curt trailer hitch # 13184 frames the spare tire and it can be raised and lowered like normal. The hitch will not interfere with the hitch. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If the ball mount kit does not have the right...

  • Parts Needed to Install Brake Controller on 2000 Toyota Tundra
To install a brake controller on your 2000 Toyota Tundra that isn't equipped with any factory connector you will need to start with a 4-Way. For this I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118367, which will plug right into a factory port under the truck on the driver's side for a completely plug-and-play installation. With the 4-Way in place you will need to use the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to upgrade it to a fully functional 7-Way. The kit includes the 7-Way harness itself that will plug...

We have everything you'd need to tow the motorcycle trailer you mentioned with your 2016 Kia Soul. The first thing you need is a trailer hitch like the Draw Tite part # 24915 that you referenced. This installs easily and has more than enough weight capacity. For wiring the Tekonsha part # 118367 is easy to install and very reliable as well. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well. For a ball mount you'd then want the # 3593, for a 2 inch hitch ball # 19258, 1-7/8...

  • Parts Needed to Install a Trailer Brake Controller on a 2000 Toyota Tundra without Tow Package
Since your 2000 Toyota Tundra does not have a factory tow package, there are a couple of additional parts besides the brake controller that you will need for installation. The blue wire on the brake controller will eventually connect to a wire that runs back to a 7-Way trailer connector. This wire is not present on the vehicle, so it needs to be hardwired manually. The brake controller does not use the turn signals. To install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885, you will first need to install...

On the 4-pole trailer wiring harnesses we offer for your 2000 Toyota Tundra, Tow Ready # 118367 and Curt # C55367, the connection point is under the vehicle on the driver's side. There will be a connector to mate with the plug shown in the linked photo. The vehicle connector should carry the brake and turn signals as well as running lights (brown wire) and 12V power (black wire) for the harness. • Installing a 7-Way Trailer Connection on a 2000 Toyota Tundra
The Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Flat Connectors # HM43385 is a fit for 2003 - 2006 Toyota Tundra with factory 7-Way. For your 2000 Toyota Tundra, there is only a 4-way trailer connector available so you will want to start with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118367 and then add the Universal Brake controller wiring kit # ETBC7 for the 4-way and 7-way. • Recommend Wiring For Adding 7-Way To Existing 4-Way Trailer Connection
For your 2000 Toyota Tundra, I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7 or the # 5506 if you already have the 4-way to 7-way connection. This will give you the circuit breakers, wires, and connectors to install a brake controller and add the 3 functions not included in your 4-way. The running lights and brake lights should work with your current 4-way, so you may want to check that trailer connection with...

  • Availability of Custom Brake Controller Wiring Harness for 2000 Toyota Tundra
You can install a trailer brake controller like the # 90885 on your 2000 Toyota Tundra, but this truck isn't equipped with a factory port behind the dash to allow for a plug-and-play installation. If you found a wiring harness under the dash it is not for a brake controller. This means that a brake controller like the P2 will have to be hard wired. If you do not have a trailer connector at the rear of your 2000 Toyota Tundra you will need to start with a 4-way first. For that you would want the part # 118367. Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. We do have a solution that would allow you to install a 7-way trailer connector on your Tundra, but the # HM43385 7-way connector wasn't a fit for the Tundra until the 2003 model year. To install the 7-way, you'll need functional 4-pole connector. If you don't have one, you can install one using part # 118367.
