  • Adjustable air pressure: 5 psi - 35 psi

Heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires, headlight aim and handling suffer as well. To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.

Air Lift's AirLift 1000 adjustable air springs have 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are made specifically to fit inside your rear coil spring suspension for additional load assistance. You can inflate and deflate these tough, molded polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load, every time. Easily level your vehicle front to rear, and if you run dual air lines to the air springs at installation, then you can inflate the springs independently of one another for side-to-side leveling. AirLift 1000 is a breeze to install with standard tools and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual.

AirLift 1000 comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor and gauge system (sold separately), which will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs.

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Air Lift is positive that you will benefit from their air spring suspension system - so much so that they offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Install and use AirLift 1000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund.

Installation was a bear. Instructions depending where you get them from are mixed. Factory instructions on the web as a video shows not removing the springs and stuffing the bags through the springs. Instructions from e trailer and on paper supplied says to remove the springs and shocks and anti sway bar. I did not have to remove the shocks but did lower one side of the anti sway bar. My first attempt was to remove the spring approach which was not a good Idea unless you have a spring compression tool which I did not. This was a night mare.
The other side I pushed the air bag through the spring much easier although still tough managing the bag in position and getting the air line to the bottom of the bag was challenging. I started around 8 am and finished late afternoon. Had to make a special trip to town (50 miles round trip) to find nuts to secure the air fitting as they were missing in the parts bag. Nuts are 5/16 35 thread. Never herd of such an odd thread. Had to pay over $4 for four nuts. Have not driven with the new bags yet but am hopeful based on reviews they will work just fine. My vehicle is a 2012 Toyota FJ cruiser. It was a very stressful experience but I probably save a couple hundred dollars on the self install. I am a former toolmaker/machine builder/welder.

Comments
Got the airbags especially for towing a trailer 0n a 6 month trip from Arizona to Alaska, 24000 miles. The bags are still performing well.I would give 5 stars for reliability and performance.

On my ‘07 4Runner this is my second set. The first set was reliable for only 230k miles;) I tow with some regularity and really appreciate the ability to level the vehicle. I chose to use two fill valves independent lines which seems to improve the suspension’s resistance to body roll when inflated/loaded.

I suspect key to longevity is a good, abrasion free line routing and always maintain some pressure in the bags. I included filling them to 10psi as part of my monthly tire check. They mostly hold air fine but that first cold snap of the Fall season requires some air.

The product worked flawlessly. Install was easy. Kept my family safe on the road while towing. Thanks!

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

Product arrived promptly. Very simple idea, but absolutely difficult as H&¿¿to install. Trying to squeeze the folded air bag between the coil Springs was an absolute nightmare. Maybe some springs on some vehicles have a larger spacing between the coil, but a 2019 Kia Sorento does not. It took almost 6hrs to install both sides. One trick that did help was to use a little silicone spray on the air bag where it was jammed into the coil spring. This helped make the bag slippery so it passed between the coil spring. Just don't get it all over the air bag or it will be too slippery to hold onto as you push it into place. The hose clamps are really a poor design, awkward to squeeze with pliers as you position them into place. So far bags appear to be holding air pressure. Time will tell has to how durable and dependable they will be.I installed them to assist with towing my camper and help reduce the squatting when towing.

Comments
So far the air bags are still holding air . It does help with keeping the rear end of my Sorento from bouncing around when pulling my camper.

2020 Ford Explorer install. These are well made in the USA. Being robustly made, they do not fold into a "hot dog bun" shape as indicated in the instructions. The Hulk might but I could not. I was able to get them into a "horizontal stomped beer can" shape which I made work. It took about an hour for the first one and less for the second one. I used a plastic dead blow handle to assist since the hammer end allowed for a good handle as I pushed with the actual handle. I have dual exhausts so I routed up through the body rails above the mufflers. I found holes in the A-arm, just rear of the middle hole, that allowed for the air line to be routed back and up. I didn't go forward as the directions illustrated since I would it would not help my situation. Product - A+ Easy of Install - B-

Comments
Works great during the two times I actually used them. Dont inflate too much or youll hear squeaking sounds that will drive you insane.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

Easy to install in my 2012 Toyoda Sienna AWD. The air hose supplied was barely just long enough to reach the rear, where a custom made mount is required for the Schrader valves. I used 2 valves, rather than the "T" for for 1 valve, so each air bag would retain separate air pressure for better anti-sway support when cornering. Rear end squat is minimal with my 450 lb motorcycle mounted on a hitch rack and added load inside. The ride is noticeably flatter through corners, especially after lifting the van 2" higher for much better 8" clearance for well worn dirt double-track roads.

Comments
After 1 year of use, I suggest setting air pressure to 10 psi or less when there is no added vehicle load to avoid a bouncy ride. For example leaving 25 psi in the Air Lift after a load is removed, produces a bouncy ride on less than very smooth pavement.

I own a 2004 Kia Sorento and About a year ago i purchased an Air Lift AirLift 1000 Vehicle Suspension from you to enhance the suspension of my SUV. At first i was skeptical but after installation and a short road test it was obvious the improvement on handling , i will recommend it to anyone . Here are some pictures after one year of use.

Installed on 15 Jetta tdi. I Removed wheel, then coil spring, (1 side at a time) folded bag like hot dog bun and installed into coil spring upside down (fitting facing down) cause it would have hit otherwise. Reinstalled, ran lines, mounted fill valve in bottom part of rear bumper and filled. It’s been a year and is still working perfectly.

The Insides of the Rear tires wore out within 2k miles of having these installed and aired up.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

I was experiencing bottoming out on my '03 Nissan Pathfinder by just adding passengers or groceries. At first, I thought about replacing the rear springs, but after installing the Air Lift system I was more than satisfied. I can increase pressure to 25 psi for cargo/heavy loads and then decrease to about 12 psi for everyday driving. My vehicle sits up like it was new and no longer sags or bounces. After 12 months and 9,000 miles I'm glad I went with this upgrade. Take your time and follow instructions for a perfect install.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

Easy install and it really firmed up the suspension on my Palisade! It only took a couple hours to install. I found it easier to leave the bag uncapped and push it through the coil spring with a twisting motion. It kinda just popped into place. If I followed the instructions and flattened the bag it became rigid and difficult to work with. Otherwise routing the tubing and connecting everything was straight forward.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

Just installed my new set of air bags (AL60815 Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs) on my 2008 Odyssey.
I purchased this model as a replacement to the previous air bags (F4179 Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs) that I purchased from etrailer four years ago.
I had to replace them because this winter one of the push on fittings broke off one of the air bags.
I have been using those air bags for four years towing my 2200 lbs tent trailer.
The only complaint I had was that sometimes air would seep out after towing for a few hours. I suspected it was from the push on fittings.
That was the reason I choose this model as they have barb fittings and spring clamps. Very positive connections and tight fits.

Installation was very easy as all the holes in the tables were already done from the last install.
1. Somethings to keep in mind, if your shocks are a few years old consider changing them at the same time.
2. Remember to support the table with a jack while removing and installing the retaining bolt for the table. Failure to do that will damage the threads on the bolt and rapidly decompress the spring.
3. When drilling the hole in the table don’t rush. Centering the hole so the valve on the air bag does not force against the edge is very important. Luckily there is a template in the instructions booklet.
4. Running the air line to the passenger side bag can be done through the center cross member.

I mounted my valve inside the van to keep it clean and out of the way. Using the tee to connect both bags to a single valve will facilitate inflation and ensure they are both at the same pressure.

I will be ordering another set of these air bags when I replace this Odyssey with a newer model in a few years.
Kit is very complete. All the parts I needed and did not have to run to the auto parts store.
Didn't use the heat shield because where I ran the line it is protected from the exhaust pipe.

Comments
Great so far. I had the opportunity to use them all last summer pulling my pop up. Never had an issue of leaking fittings. Very happy with the product. Will definitely purchase again when I trade in my current Odyssey for a newer one in a few years.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

With the tubing going under the suspension I don’t see it lasting long. The air bags looked a little short for the springs but I could not find if that was normal in the instructions. I don’t like the way the airlines are exposed to the ground. I believe I should have just gotten the upgraded rear springs. The air bags went in fairly easy after I deflated them and put the cap on to keep them deflated. I had to go through the side of the springs not the bottom as instructed. So far the air bags them selves are working properly.

Comments
Thank you for your review. The bags press out on the coils to keep them from compressing instead of up and down. They are not designed to touch the top and bottom.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

I installed the AirLift 1000 air bags on my 1998 Toyota Sienna. I
flattened the bags per instruction but, I found that if I also folded
them in half vertically, they went in very easy. It took literally 30 seconds per side to install the bags inside the coil springs. I saw
where some people had to use a wooden spoon or blunt tool to force the
bags inside the coil springs. The method I used took no tools, and was
easy peasy.

The kit was shy 1 of the small hose clamps, otherwise everything
necessary for installation was there.

I'll be test driving for a couple of days and will update my review afterwards.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

Installation was super quick and easy in my home garage. The hardest part was finding a way to jack the truck high enough to hang the rear axle. My test was 25 bags of mulch. The before installation picture shows the rear squat. The after picture is of the exact same load with 30psi in the air bags. Super happy with the results. The ride is much better with a load in the back. Can't wait to hook up my camper to see how much better the ride is on a long trip.

Comments
Still pleased with the product. Towing my camper is so much safer and easier now that the truck is level.

The Air Lift 1000 was easier than I thought it would be to install . My H2 Hummer sits even now with my 20' in-closed car hauler in tow. I only had to add 15 lbs of air . When not hauling I lower the air to 5 lbs. Love this system .

Comments
Great improvement to my ride height when towing my 22 foot toy hauler. Really help stabilize the rear of the H2 Hummer.

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

Product installed easily on my Toyota Sienna AWD and inflated correctly with no leakage. I ended up using two loom clamps and self-tapping screws that I purchased at [local] Hardware store. Had hoped to use only wire ties, but realized that loom clamps make for a much more secure installation. The ride is much stiffer at 35psi especially since the van is empty at the moment. Still need to experiment around with pressures that are ideal for an empty van and one filled with passengers and gear.

Comments
I suggest lowering your 2015 Sienna air springs to 5 psi for a smoother ride when you are not towing or loaded up. When you are loaded, inflate to 30 psi.
-- Etrailer Expert Sierra K - 11/02/2021
This Air Lift kit has been working well for me. No leakage at all. I have taken many road trips to local National Forests and just got back from a 4500 mile trip to the Badlands. I have found that keeping it at 10 psi is just about right for my driving style. This kit is the way to go to level out your ride when you are carrying a lot of payload.
