If your rig feels unstable under load or rough on long trips, its time for an upgrade. MT64 shocks are built for heavy overland setups - delivering control, comfort, and confidence whether you're off-road or cruising highway miles.
Roof tents, spare fuel, water tanks, recovery gear - every item adds weight and your suspension feels it. MT64s are tuned to manage these shifting loads so your rig stays composed and predictable, even when the weight is stacked high or off-center.
You feel it in your hands, in your spine, in your concentration - rough terrain wears you down. MT64s digressive valving calms the ride without disconnecting you from the road, giving you sharper handling with fewer jolts along the way.
Some shocks perform well at first, then fade as things heat up. These don't. With an oversized 2.8" monotube body and increased oil capacity, MT64s stay consistent on long trail days and back-to-back overland trips. No fade. No compromise.
The trails don' t play nice. Rocks get thrown, mud cakes everything, and branches & roots don't care what they smack. Thats why MT64 includes an impact-resistant TPE shaft guard that shields your shocks from trail damage and keeps them working like new.
Theres a reason these shocks are made with aerospace-grade aluminum. It sheds heat fast, resists corrosion, and won't weigh you down. Whether you're grinding out high desert miles or bouncing through forest switchbacks, MT64s are built to go the distance.
No cutting, no welding, no fabricating - just bolt it on and go. MT64 shocks are a direct-fit upgrade for vehicles with 0" to 3" of lift, so installation is straightforward whether youre running stock coils or a full lift kit.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our replacement Old Man Emu MT64 Shock Absorber for the rear. Now, this is gonna be custom fit, so make sure you're checking our fit guide and all the specs on the page to be sure you're getting the right parts. This has been built for overland loads. It's been tuned for vehicles that are carrying heavy gear, like maybe tents, campers, racks.
Maybe you got an off-road bumper on the front or back and a wench, those kind of things. It's an oversized 2.8-inch mono two body. It's gonna hold more oil, giving you better heat control and more consistent performance on those long drives over rough roads. It does have what's considered a digressive valving construction, which means it instantly reacts to terrain changes, thus keeping your ride smooth. It's made from aerospace-grade aluminum and it dissipates heat faster than the steel ones that are out there, and it's gonna resist trail damage from rocks and debris as well.
And as you can see, you got your plastic guard on here and everything. And then you got your top parts here and then you got these three spacers included. The shaft size is a 7/8-inch shaft, and again, it has this impact resistant guard to protect everything from rocks, mud, and harsh trail conditions as well. Now, this has been designed for lifted vehicles and it's gonna easily install on your stock or lifted setups without having to modify anything. Folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our look together.
I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
