  • Adjustable air pressure: 5 psi - 35 psi

Heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires, headlight aim and handling suffer as well. To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.

Air Lift's AirLift 1000 adjustable air springs have 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are made specifically to fit inside your rear coil spring suspension for additional load assistance. You can inflate and deflate these tough, molded polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load, every time. Easily level your vehicle front to rear, and if you run dual air lines to the air springs at installation, then you can inflate the springs independently of one another for side-to-side leveling. AirLift 1000 is a breeze to install with standard tools and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual.

AirLift 1000 comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor and gauge system (sold separately), which will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs.

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Air Lift is positive that you will benefit from their air spring suspension system - so much so that they offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Install and use AirLift 1000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund.

So far so good. My 03 Jeep Wrangler TJ was sagging in the rear. Now it is level. Needed this for the extra load carrying capacity when using a motorcycle carrier to carry my Suzuki VanVan on the back of the Jeep. This nicely raised the hitch by 6 inches so I don't have to worry about dragging the carrier when encountering a dip. Shipping was prompt and fast. Could not be more pleased with the customer service from etrailer. 659780

Air lift is still working great. Exactly what I needed to balance the load when I carry my motorcycle on the carrier behind my wrangler.

Will this air lift fit my 1998 Jeep Sahara edition rear end springs?
-- comment by: Bryce - 08/28/2013

1982

Yes indeed, the AL60811 kit will fit on the rear of your 1998 Wrangler Sahara. If you will need to adjust the bags frequently a compressor kit may be advantageous. If you off-road with your Jeep, a system with a reserve tank may come in handy for other applications. Check out AL25592 or AL25572.

al60811 as I under stand you install air bags in coil spring what do you do with the rubber bump stop existing stock inside the spring. do you permanently remove the bump stop ?
-- comment by: dennis - 09/01/2013

2001

On the Chrysler vehicles, the stop just pulls out of the cup and is not reinstalled. There is not need for a bump stop once the airbags are in place. They will fulfill that role as well as suplememnt the coil springs.

Very impressed still. These work awesome. I used these to replace the Timbren style. The Timbren worked well but we had them bump when with no load. Installed these in our 1500 Ram crew cab. We tow a 5th wheel. The truck rides way better loaded and way more forgiving crossing the bridge joints and no so good sections of road. I believe it relieve stress on the pin box of the camper. 852976

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

I was excited about this product and the installation was reasonably easy. The 1st summer (2019) they worked as advertised doing a good job of assisting with supporting the weight of my 5th wheel RV. But now this 2nd summer, a slow Leak must've developed as they don't hold air for more than 8 hours. I'll probably have to go in and check the fittings for leaks, but that is quite a process and one that I quite frankly don't have time for right now. So I would have to Say I'm disappointed in the product. 854961

We tow a Travel Trailer that has a very heavy tongue weight with our Ram 1500. Ram trucks have coil spring on the rear which make for an excellent ride, unless towing something with a heave tongue weight. The truck did not handle well while towing until we added these air bags. Tows like a dream now! We did not install the onboard compressor which can be ordered separately, but we will be doing that soon. 818029

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

If you tow trailers or carry heavy loads in the bed of your truck or van, you can use Air Lift Helper Springs to keep your vehicle level and free from sagging. It does not affect the ride or steering negatively and is easy to adjust with a compressor, battery-operated inflator or hand pump. 654436

Comments
I forget they are there! Its only when towing trailers or putting something heavy in the bed of the truck, I am reminded that its a very practical upgrade to the trucks suspension. When checking tire pressures I check the airsprings pressure. Pressure s are minimal.

I watch a video, which states you can roll this type of lifter up and squeeze it through the bottom spring, I tried to roll it up like the video and it did. I didn't try it, I think it should be a better way to install these than to go thru the process in your instructions like removing parts and marking locations of the springs. What do you think, with your instructions or the video way. 774332

Purchased for 2016 Ram that sagged do to a fiberglass cap and boat tongue weight. They level out truck and reduce the number of high beam flashes I get from oncoming traffic. I run 20 psi normally and 25 with boat. I have never had a leak nor problems with truck on a frame lift. Thus is my second vehicle with a set. Highly recommend. 504679

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

I wanted to stop the droop when towing my 21' trailer. Works great. Read the reviews before you start your install. There are many good tips there that are not in the instructions. When folding the flattened air bag for insertion into the spring use zip ties to hold it in the folded position. Even though the second opening the in the spring looks bigger than the bottom opening, use the bottom one as it has a better angle. When applying the air hose to the fittings soak the hose 30 seconds or so in hot water so you can seat the hose all the way onto the fitting. Removing the tire and wheel gives you better access when putting the air hose on the bag fitting. Dropping the spare tire makes routing the air hose to the back a lot simpler. 351976

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

I received my air helper springs yesterday and today I got them installed, with no issues. I removed the wheel well liners and jacked up the frame, one side at a time. I did not remove the wheels. I folded the bags and zip tied them as recommended and stuffed them between the top of the coiled spring. Jacking the frame up 4 inches helps spread the coils on the springs. After I ran the hose out the top of the spring perch (or whatever you call it) I found an oval hole in the top of the frame about 8 inches back. I ran the hose into this hole on each side and all the way out the back end of the frame. This should help protect the hose from the exhaust pipe. I drilled two holes not far from the passenger side of the license plate and put the valve stems there. Job done. I will be pulling a 24 ft camper trailer in about a month and look forward to seeing how these work. 432873

Product was easy to install on my 2016 odyssey, I ran the lines to two valves and plumbed them to mount onto the side plate of the new trailer hitch I installed for a really clean and accessible install. Be prepared with a good drill, impact gun and high quality drill bits but the online installation videos make this install a breeze. I didnt even look at the instructions provided with the kit thanks to the videos from etrailer. 274824

This was the easiest install I've ever done! One hour on a 06 Sienna. The video made it simple. The van drives great with only passengers so far. Roll has been reduced tons. This is the 4th time I've ordered from etrailer. The directions on all the products has been great. Videos are spot on. 227466

Review from a similar AirLift 1000 in Vehicle Suspension

Just installed my new set of air bags (AL60815 Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs) on my 2008 Odyssey. I purchased this model as a replacement to the previous air bags (F4179 Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs) that I purchased from etrailer four years ago. I had to replace them because this winter one of the push on fittings broke off one of the air bags. I have been using those air bags for four years towing my 2200 lbs tent trailer. The only complaint I had was that sometimes air would seep out after towing for a few hours. I suspected it was from the push on fittings. That was the reason I choose this model as they have barb fittings and spring clamps. Very positive connections and tight fits. Installation was very easy as all the holes in the tables were already done from the last install. 1. Somethings to keep in mind, if your shocks are a few years old consider changing them at the same time. 2. Remember to support the table with a jack while removing and installing the retaining bolt for the table. Failure to do that will damage the threads on the bolt and rapidly decompress the spring. 3. When drilling the hole in the table don’t rush. Centering the hole so the valve on the air bag does not force against the edge is very important. Luckily there is a template in the instructions booklet. 4. Running the air line to the passenger side bag can be done through the center cross member. I mounted my valve inside the van to keep it clean and out of the way. Using the tee to connect both bags to a single valve will facilitate inflation and ensure they are both at the same pressure. I will be ordering another set of these air bags when I replace this Odyssey with a newer model in a few years. Kit is very complete. All the parts I needed and did not have to run to the auto parts store. Didn't use the heat shield because where I ran the line it is protected from the exhaust pipe. 647265

Comments
Great so far. I had the opportunity to use them all last summer pulling my pop up. Never had an issue of leaking fittings. Very happy with the product. Will definitely purchase again when I trade in my current Odyssey for a newer one in a few years.

  • Recommendation for Adding Spacers to AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs on a 2005 Jeep TJ
I recommend adding Air Lift Lock-N-Lift # AL52440 spacer kit to the AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs # AL60811 as it lets you add air springs to your lifted vehicle. It will work with vehicles with up to a 4 inch lift. The diameter of the spring 5-3/8 inches and 4 1/2 inches tall. I added an instruction link for you as well.

  • Air Lift Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler
Since a body lift like what you have on your vehicle does not change the distance between the axle and frame you would not need a spacer kit to install a suspension enhancement kit on your 2006 Jeep Wrangler. If they're different then we will need to know the inner diameter to choose the correct air bags. I've included a video of them being installed in a 2004 Wrangler which will be the same process as yours. I spoke with my contact at Timbren and he said that if you have a true suspension lift where the space increased between the factory bump stops and axle, this particular kit won't work because of the coil spring suspension on the TJ model.
