Heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires, headlight aim and handling suffer as well. To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.
Air Lift's AirLift 1000 adjustable air springs have 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are made specifically to fit inside your rear coil spring suspension for additional load assistance. You can inflate and deflate these tough, molded polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load, every time. Easily level your vehicle front to rear, and if you run dual air lines to the air springs at installation, then you can inflate the springs independently of one another for side-to-side leveling. AirLift 1000 is a breeze to install with standard tools and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual.
AirLift 1000 comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor and gauge system (sold separately), which will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs.
Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.
Air Lift is positive that you will benefit from their air spring suspension system - so much so that they offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Install and use AirLift 1000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Air Lift 1000 air helper spring set for your rear coil springs and these are going to install inside the rear coil springs of your 2014 through 2023 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. These are gonna help support your Trailhawk's existing rear coil spring suspension when you're hauling or towing to help improve safety and ride quality. As you're likely aware, if you put a lot of weight on the back end of your Trailhawk, it oftentimes will squat or sag. That can be pretty stressful on your rear suspension system. Can also bring your front end up, causing uneven tire wear, making your steering kind of light, and bringing your headlights up into an unsafe range.
So leveling your system out is gonna be a great option to make sure that everything's gonna be very safe for you and give you a little bit more control as well as comfort. And these are gonna do a great job. Like I said, they will install inside your springs, which can be kind of difficult. Now, you've got to spread your coils out a bit to get these kind of squeezed in place. You'll just kind of squeeze all the air out of them, get them into a compressed fitting, and then try and squeeze them in between those coils, which I'm not gonna lie to you, it can be kind of challenging.
But once you get them installed, they are gonna do a great job for you, giving you that leveling capacity and make sure that as you're putting weight on your Trailhawk, it's going to give you the option to add more air for heavier loads or let air out so you can accommodate lighter loads and that sort of thing. These do have a load leveling capacity of up to 1,000 pounds. Now, when you hear that, it's very tempting to think that means it's going to increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity by 1,000 pounds. That's not the case. There's no suspension enhancement system on the market that's going to increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity.
So think of it less like a second set of hands that's helping you lift more weight. Think of it more like a back brace. So it's there to just kind of help take some of that strain off your factory suspension, help it to last longer for you, take less of a toll on it. It's also going to, again, help with that leveling your setup, so your tires are gonna wear more evenly. You're not gonna have your headlights in the eyes of oncoming traffic.
It'll be down on the road where it needs to be so that you can see. So it's gonna help to correct all those issues that come along with your vehicle squatting under that heavy weight. As I said, you can add or deflate, add air or take air out to adjust for your load. These will air out from 5 psi minimum up to 35 psi so that you can get that even low distribution front to rear. You can also inflate these individually for side to side leveling. So if you've got a really heavy toolbox or something on one side, you can air that bag up to give you more support on that side so that you get everything level like you need. These are made here in the USA of a very durable molded polyurethane. So they are gonna hold up well for you. They come with a lifetime warranty and a 60 day satisfaction guarantee. So you will be able to see or tell the difference just getting them installed. You should be able to see that leveling capacity work out for you. These are a manual inflation so typically you run the line here out to the back bumper so that you can easily add air. There are incant gauges and compressor systems that would allow you to do that automatically. They can add air, depending on how much weight you're gonna be carrying, you can fill them up or let air out from the comfort of your cab. Otherwise, with the manual system you'll kind of have to be a little bit inconvenienced anytime you need to add air, you'll need to find a pump at a gas station or something like that or let air out. So there might be a little bit more work involved. But if you're wanting to have a little extra convenience you can add on that compressor system and monitor. Otherwise, these will just work just fine on their own. So that's just kind of an add-on that you can consider for yourself. But overall, great option here for your Trailhawk. Make sure that everything's gonna be level as you're towing or hauling those heavy loads. And that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
